nice dinner. this was a "let's try this" kind of restaurant because they had something for my wife and i; risotto and ribeye. we didn't order any apps or desert, but they both looked verygoodwhen they passed our table.
or service was just okay. i expected a drink order would be placed shortly after being seated (5 minutes max). we waited about 10 minutes before being waited on. we both knew what we were going to order before walking in, so we did place our orders fairly quickly. if there was a special this night, none was offered.
or orders arrived very quickly; both were very hot when delivered to the table. the ribeye was cooked nearly perfect; just too much char for my taste. my side of mac and cheese was good, but lacking something. not sure what exactly, but it didn't shine like i imagined it would. i would give my meal a 4 out of 5.
my wife's risotto, although i didn't try it, was served very hot, as well. her words were exactly what others had said, it was lacking in something (same thought with the mac and cheese). she didn't say much about it other than that.
we were charged a very fair price for both meals and drinks. with all of the places around the city, we will probably choose a new location next time, but this should be on the short list of places to visit.

love it. after a couple of years in decline (food wise), lindey's has re-emerged as a top choice in columbus. happy hour is crazy good. people-watching is fun. food has rebounded to be interesting and well-executed. always agoodchoice. it is close to g. michael's. how lucky can we be??

probably the best restaurant service i've ever had. we went for restaurant week so we did the 3 course meal. i had the beet salad, salmon, and brownie. the beet salad was interesting, but not bad. the salmon was cooked perfectly, but not much flavor to it. it was stillgoodthough. the brownie was a little rich for my liking. my boyfriend ordered the calamari, filet, and bread pudding. he loved all of it. i tried the bread pudding and it was delish! i would definitely go again.

disapointed. we had dinner at lindy's last saturday evening. this was a very special occaision for our family as our son and his wife were moving out of town. when we made reservations almost a week in advance, we requested the best table they had, with some privacy. we asked for 7:00, they said "sorry, we're booked", so we took an earlier time and looked forward to a nice dinner.

when we arrived we were seated at a table in the middle of the room.
the waiter was not friendly, at all. all he did was stand around polishing glasses and hovering.
the bread was never refreshed. the waters only once.
the wine was expensive (expected), and the servings were small (disapointing).
the food was good, but not great.
for the price i expected better, the presentation was solid though.

i told the waiter it was a special dinner and why were there (i thought he might tell the chef).
instead he offered desert menus, which we ordered from. they were good, verygoodand very reasonably priced.

i watched the tables around the room to see if they ever 'booked'; and they didn't. we could have been seated in a corner out of the way instead of by the kitchen door.

this place has issues with the staff which says to me serious hospitality management problems.

bottom line, we won't go back. won't recommend to anyone.

service was good, food not so.... did they hire new kitchen help? new chef? somethiing is changinging; went for brunch, not quite what it used to be. in fact, not at all what it should be. didnt even finish, and they didnt care.

service was good, food not so.... we went for sunday brunch and i must say, the food was not great...

i took 2 bites of my fish sandwhich and stopped eating it as it was way over cooked. my wife only finished a third of her crab salad as the dressing was more plentiful than the greens and crab. my daughters pasta was nothing to go back for.

the staff are always nice here, but certainly not what you would expect for food quality out of such a columbus icon.

new perspective.... lindey's has always beengoodeven if by reputation but tonight got a new view...

took big client and about 10 other people and service was super! great suggestions and actually honest ones from our waiter which was perfect. dinner was super with the majority going with seafood. lobster bisque was fantastic and had 7 scallop dinners at the table of which 1 was mine. great job as it exceeded expectations. dessert, dont ask... another great dish in summary but the highlight of the evening was the bartender tony of which started a bit cold but sealed the deal with great friendships made and wonderful invitations back. we will be back and already booked 15 for next week!
