disapointed. we haddinnerat lindy's last saturday evening. this was a very special occaision for our family as our son and his wife were moving out of town. when we made reservations almost a week in advance, we requested the best table they had, with some privacy. we asked for 7:00, they said "sorry, we're booked", so we took an earlier time and looked forward to a nice dinner.
when we arrived we were seated at a table in the middle of the room.
the waiter was not friendly, at all. all he did was stand around polishing glasses and hovering.
the bread was never refreshed. the waters only once.
the wine was expensive (expected), and the servings were small (disapointing).
the food was good, but not great.
for the price i expected better, the presentation was solid though.
i told the waiter it was a specialdinnerand why were there (i thought he might tell the chef).
instead he offered desert menus, which we ordered from. they were good, very good and very reasonably priced.
i watched the tables around the room to see if they ever 'booked'; and they didn't. we could have been seated in a corner out of the way instead of by the kitchen door.
this place has issues with the staff which says to me serious hospitality management problems.
bottom line, we won't go back. won't recommend to anyone.
