lindey's restaurant and bar

always great (except that one time...) but we’ll just forget about that time, won’t we. love this place so much that my wife and i came here on our 1st valentine’s day date and camebacksome years later and had our wedding reception upstairs... excellent menu, bar and wine list!

this place has incredible food. steak was cooked absolutely perfectly, and the staff was so nice. the decor and atmosphere in lindys is very pleasant.  i will definitely bebacksoon!

best fine dining in columbus. ive been to all the white tablecloth resturants in columbus, and lindey's is the best one.

their service is often outstanding and consistantly great.
the food is consistantly excllent.

the phyical resturant is beautiful - the only negative is poorly lit stairs between dining areas.
this isnt much of an issue for me, but when i take my aging parents to dinner there - i worry that one of them might suffer and embarassing (and painful) trip on the black carpeted 2 stair transition to thebackdining room.

great ambiance, great food. my husband and i dined here for our anniversary dinner. had to sendbackburnt veggie side, but quickly fixed. very nice environment, great service. great food.

brunch on the patio :). went for brunch on the first patio-weather day of the year. i had only been once before, for dinner during restaurant week, and was impressed with the food then as well. for such an upscale restaurant, i was surprised at how reasonable the brunch menu was - and there was a diverse selection of breakfast and lunch items to choose from. so much of the menu looked good, and i had trouble making a decision! finally opted for the french toast stuffed with pecans, bananas and sweetened cream cheese, topped with strawberries and bacon. it was so good! my mom had the omelette special and my dad had the pancakes and both were happy with their food. service was attentive as well - there had to be one waiter for every two people there!

the best thing about the meal was the setting - the patio at lindey's can't be beat! shaded by flowering trees and umbrellas, and with the beautiful fountain in the middle, it felt like we weren't in columbus but in a little european village. great experience, and i'd love to gobackas often as i can.

service was good, food not so.... did they hire new kitchen help? new chef? somethiing is changinging; went for brunch, not quite what it used to be. in fact, not at all what it should be. didnt even finish, and they didnt care.

service was good, food not so.... we went for sunday brunch and i must say, the food was not great...

i took 2 bites of my fish sandwhich and stopped eating it as it was way over cooked. my wife only finished a third of her crab salad as the dressing was more plentiful than the greens and crab. my daughters pasta was nothing to gobackfor.

the staff are always nice here, but certainly not what you would expect for food quality out of such a columbus icon.

new perspective.... lindey's has always been good even if by reputation but tonight got a new view...

took big client and about 10 other people and service was super! great suggestions and actually honest ones from our waiter which was perfect. dinner was super with the majority going with seafood. lobster bisque was fantastic and had 7 scallop dinners at the table of which 1 was mine. great job as it exceeded expectations. dessert, dont ask... another great dish in summary but the highlight of the evening was the bartender tony of which started a bit cold but sealed the deal with great friendships made and wonderful invitations back. we will bebackand already booked 15 for next week!

so sad that the food and the service have gone downhill. this used to be my favorite restaurant in columbus and came here for every special occassion. i've beenbacktwice in the past couple of months and my filet (which i've ordered for years) have comebackwell done rather than medium rare. i also inquired about using their rooms upstairs for my sister's wedding shower and i had someone call mebacka week later. i asked for a quote based on what i was looking for and i never received a call back. this wasbackin january and i still haven't heard from them. my last dinner here was in january and i brought a group of work colleagues with me. very disappointig service and food. i was pretty embarassed for bringing them there. never again.
