lindey's restaurant and bar

will not plan an event with lindey's again.. i recently attempted to plan a corporate event at lindey's for 30+ people. unfortunately, my experience working with them was extremely unprofessional. i was able to book the time and date in an initial phone conversation with their event coordinator (grant) but after a week of trying to contact hime via phone, voicemail and emails (both during business hours and after) as well as showing up in person, i still had not received his promised return call to discuss details. two business days from my event and i still had not discussed menu selections, parking, table settings, etc. with anyone. i finally made the decision to move my event elsewhere. i will never plan an event with lindey's again.

be nice!. we went here once a few months ago for lunch on the patio. when we walked up, we were kind of ignored by the hostess, as if she didn't know why were there. of course we weren't in our sunday best, but neither were most of the clientele. we were seated by the bar, but never offered drinks, although everyone around us was. our food was good, but was good, but we felt a general snobbishness from most of the staff. on our last visit to columbus, we considered giving it another try, just because it has so many great reviews, but that first experience kind of turned us off. too bad.

in 20 years i've been going there, never once a bad experience. i would take clients visiting from anywhere in the world to lindey's. and i do.

788th like it!! in german village. columbus, ohio. i love lindey's. my crab louie was perfection. eating on the patio with two dear friends made for a wonderful lunch. our server was outstanding. lindey's, for me, was about as good as it gets!!

over the past 35 years in business, proprietor sue doody has built the restaurant into a powerhouse name in the city, with a reputation far beyond the neighborhood.

the happy hour prices make it a great place to try a new drink. food is limited for happy hour but whose isn't? good time and birth the stop.

always great (except that one time...) but we’ll just forget about that time, won’t we. love this place so much that my wife and i came here on our 1st valentine’s day date and came back some years later and had our wedding reception upstairs... excellent menu, bar and wine list!

ate here last sunday for brunch. oh my was it delish! highly recommend... service, building, decor, and drinks were all in point. i ordered the salmon tartine, my friend ordered the french toast- both of us were very satisfied. highly recommend and obviously recommend the german village...

delicious cedar plank salmon. gorgeous night on patio which makes you feel like you are no longer in columbus. i loved it. great service and complimentary valet.

very arrogant manager. his name is todd. unacceptable behavior from the server. do not suggest to anyone. i experienced that they discriminated against women with accent!!! please do not bother going there.

aside from this terrible experience the restaurant had ambience problems. the table had white papers on them. unacceptable for a supposedly expensive and "good" restaurant.

love this spot for formal dining, the bar atmosphere, and the lovely patio in the warmer months. lindey's has everything you'd want in a fine dining restaurant, knowledgable servers, great wine list, and high end food. there's a private space upstairs for events. the bar has a limited bar menu and small tables, perfect for a happy hour. the bar is usually full of characters and regulars as any great neighborhood restaurant with a decent bartender should be. parking can be tricky if you don't valet but the valet is dependable and fast. if you don't valet you'll need to watch out for signs limiting the street parking for certain passes. ticketing can be strict so it's not worth the risk. locals are tough on this issue because many do not have off street parking in this densely populated residential area. the bar outside is also a coveted spot for regulars and those wanting great service and great food.

not what i expected, but everything about this place is awesome, from the atmosphere/ambiance to the food to the drinks and wine collection to the great services!

this place has incredible food. steak was cooked absolutely perfectly, and the staff was so nice. the decor and atmosphere in lindys is very pleasant.  i will definitely be back soon!
