pistachio ice cream. the kids size on a cone, very nice.

it was ok. i wouldn't say it was the best ice cream ever. it was creamy. they flavors were good and tasted fresh but it was a too sweet and too thick.

magical.... best ice cream in the galaxy, i'm not sure if i can ever eat ice cream again. their ice cream makes ben & jerry's and hd taste like carcinogens.

ice and nice. i love this place and while taking some friends there, there was a long line. mr. leopold himself was outside pouring ice water for the guests waiting in line and chatting. the line moved quickly and the kind staff waiting on me patiently as i tried a few different flavors. definitely delicious and a fun visit!

good experience. visited leopold's ice cream on monday, april 29th, 2013 and it was a nice visit. the place has been there since 1919. the place is very retro with lots of staff members helping all patrons. you can ask for samples ... we ended up buying two strawberry waffle cones. the only negative is that the prices are high ... we paid $11.31. it was ok ...

would i go back? nah.

in keeping with the tourist trap tradition... we went to leopolds! so good! we had a great time and it was totally worth the wait which was really not too bad as they move people through pretty fast. we did have trouble finding a seat and ended up walking down the street to find a place to sit. really good.and definitely a crowd pleaser!

fantastic! wonderful ! ! f u n ! ! !. great food, very good icecream with an unbelievable selection. unusual flavors too. the purchasing experience is strange because the lines are so long you are forced to order your lunch and dessert in line and wait at a table. a table that may not be available yet. this awkward system is a result of it's own unbelievable success. i guess with great food and atmosphere with great history comes a great desire to experience by lots of people. be patient, wait in line, follow instructions and enjoy! it's worth the wait.

leopold's is an iconic ice cream parlour in savannah. tried their original pecan (10/10) and savannah socialite (10/10). their portions were simply great and it was a value for money!
can't wait to go back again and dig in to some more flavours! 🍦

banana slip was less than expected. but good. i don’t like fruit on it so i asked without pineapple and strawberry sauce.

creamy ice cream in a nostalgic setting with lots of history and movie memorabilia from when owner was a movie producer. you can try samples before deciding, otherwise i would never have chosen pistachio.

in 2011 the toronto sun rated it as 5th best ice cream parlor in world. it's owned by stratton leopold, a movie producer, and the walls are lined with movie posters that he produced along with cases of movie props (such as from mission impossible). still serve in glass cups like old times! its a true parlor atmoaphere. ice cream is creamy good. i finally ordered the tutti frutti, their original flavor that got it all started in 1919. its rum ice cream with candied fruit and fresh roasted georgia pecans. it didn't sound like a "wow" flavor but it instantly became my favorite. all flavors are good and very creamy. you can tell it's a high cream content based on how quickly it melts. they have seasonal flavors and the girl scout thin mints flavor is one of my favorites too (march flavor). they frequently have long lines running out the door but don't be scared away. it doesn't take long to scoop ice cream so lone moves quick and we always find seating inside. it's a true gem in savannah.

we have visited savannah every year since my brother started at scad and going to leopold's has become a tradition. absolutely love their ice cream! i have been impressed with flavors like honey almond, pistachio, caramel swirl, coconut, and the infamous tutti fruitti. lines are generally long and the prices are on the high side but i do believe these ice cream cones are worth it. looking forward to coming back to an almost century old establishment!!

this is one of the supposedly "must visit" places in trip advisor. so we went there despite the hour long queue.

we tried pistachio, float (coke + vanilla) and tutti fruti.

the ice creams were good but not worth the long wait. these guys should do a better job in managing the customers.

i love leopold's. their ice cream is great, and their old school ice cream parlor atmosphere can't be beat. old school service goes along with the surroundings. if a movie is letting out of the lucas theater, rest assured that the line will soon wrap around the street and the waiters from the ice cream parlor will soon start serving iced water to the crowd waiting in line. love the attitude!! my absolute favorite flavor is pistachio...i keep coming back to it. also - stop by for lunch if you're in the area, they have a selection of sandwiches and light bites.

my husband and i stopped here for dessert on our honeymoon. i got a single scoop butter pecan in a waffle cone. this was a generous serving and actually couldn't eat the whole thing. it was creamy with the right amount of crunch to the pecans and the right amount of sweetness. i will definitely go here again. the atmosphere is great.
