this restaurant is one of my favourites in montreal for so many reasons. they have a great patio, a superb late-night prix fixe (after 10pm) menu that is definitely worth your money, and the food tastes delicious as well. my husband and i came much earlier than our opentable reservation (arrived at 10pm because we had time left over when our reservation was at 10:45pm) and we asked if there was any space for us even though we were too early. the host seated us at 10pm much to our surprise and we ended up having a great night withexcellentservice and food. we will definitely be back especially for their late night prix fixe and their french toast dessert! it's the best!!

excellent wine list. when judging variety and price. one of the best restaurants in montreal for a great atmosphere,excellentfood and service and a varied and realistically priced wine list. if you know what to look out for there are some real bargains (relatively speaking). superb brunch spot on the terrace in the summer! i'm silly for not timing my agenda better to take advantage of the late evening sitting. that's about to change. highly recommended to anyone living/visiting montreal. one of the very best.

classic french cuisine served in a warm atmosphere. menu is surprisingly extensive with options for everyone. wine selection was very good at anexcellentprice point. highly recommend.

food:

i got a sparkling lemonade which i can't really say anything bad about, for my appetizer i ordered escargot ragout which came with some sort of pesto sauce. the escargot was mostly everything you want from escargot, buttery, soft, salty, flavourful.

next, at main course i ordered a filet mignon for $46 cad that came with king mushrooms, wine sauce, a baby onion, and some celery root puree that i wasn't a big fan of.

finally for desert i got the lemon tart which was soft, citrusy, and the meringue wasn't too crispy but it didn't fall apart either.

service: my waiter spoke mostly french but new basic english communications, didn't seem to know enough to have a full on advanced conversation. but he got the job done after trying his best. there is no coat service, so please hang up your own coats.

ambiance: probably the most, luxurious, priciest, restaurant i've ever been to. and i loved it. dimly lit, but more than enough light to see theexcellentpresentation of the food that comes to your table.

excellent location. classic decor, friendly semi-formal service. traditional and non-traditional meals that lean towards french and mediterranean cuisine. great terrasse.excellentfor a business lunch, brunch with friends or late night dinner.

...leméac is a classic french bistro café that servesexcellentfood at an affordable price (on slightly pricier side). i personally am a huge seafood fan, so the choice was a no brainer. served on fluffy thin mini pancake, the full-bodied hollandaise sauce is drizzled on curated salmon and 2 poached eggs with caviar on top.

our brunch at leméac was fantastic. we were all happy with our choices. this is definitely the restaurant to go to if you are looking for a place with great atmosphere, solid, well-executed, and tasty food, friendly andexcellentservice, and realistically priced menu. i can’t wait to go back!

unexcellentrestaurant français. le foie de veau est un délice. un peu cher tout de même.

sommes toutes, c’est une bonne expérience, un peu dispendieuse, mais vous pouvez y aller pour une occasion spéciale ou tard en soirée pour un menu moins cher. la cuisine est intéressante et parfois surprenante, toujours bien présentées, mais pas toujours des plus relevée. le service estexcellentet l’ambiance chic! un incontournable de montréal. oui, si vous êtes foodies.

tout est excellent. pour les gens de l'est, ça vaut vraiment le détour, tout est excellent.

pour ma part, j'ai eu le plaisir de goûter à l'agneau et mon conjoint au tartare de saumon.

il faut absolument finir le repas avec ce dessert simple mais exquis, pain perdu avec sirop d'érable
et crème glacé, l'assiette coûte 12$ et assez pour trois personnes.

tout simplement sublime, j'y retournerai c'est certain.

leméac is similar to the montreal classic l'expresse in that they are both french bistro type restaurants servingexcellentfare for reasonable prices. leméac is a little less stuffy in terms of atmosphere and just as classy. it also has a great terrasse that is open air in the summertime and equipped with heated lamps for the colder days of winter. we went for the after ten menu where you get an entrée and a main for $25 (such an amazing steal) and you would be surprised at how generous the offerings are and how much variety there is to choose from! we had the escargot ragout with portabello tomatoes, tomatoes and a basil-butter foam and the calamari and zucchinis to start. the escargot i've had before and i find it delicious every time. don't worry, you get your fair share of snails - they're not stingy with it - and you get some mini noodles as well. the green foam is a nice touch too. the calamari was plentif

food wasexcellentas was the wine list. service was professional but uneven. fast (a bit too fast) when not busy then too slow when it got busyer later on.
