as non-vegans, it was with a great deal of curiosity that we had our lunch club at leafy  greens.  we all opted for the bigger of the two plate options & were really impressed with the variety of options.  the food was delicious (don't sound so surprised fi!!), & we all thoroughly enjoyed it.  i felt incredibly full, but managed to find space for a chocolaty nutty treat which i thought was a little small, but absolutely delicious!  the highlights for the group were the apple sherbet drink & the low light was a coconut drink served in its shell which was all of 2 sips. the location is lovely, but from a logistical point of view we were a bit frustrated when we came to pay that the card machine wasn't working (which we were only told when the bill came!!), but were given the option of doing an eft from the computer in the shop next to the restaurant.  so - would i go back - no - actually none of us would be desperate to, but that's the aim of our club - to try new places & new things!

the buffet has incredible variety with something to suit everyone. kids are welcomed and there are lots of healthy options for them. after your meal stop at the playground with the children and enjoy the sun.

antonia does an incredible event every month with adventure clubs (download the app to book) for children aged 2 to 6.

my only wish is that this was closer to home. everything served in this restaurant is vegan. don't let that put you off, even if you're a hard core - "i eat my steak rare" kind of person - after a meal here, i don't think you'll miss your meat that much.

this restaurant offers dining in a beautiful setting - whether you're seated inside or outside. the restaurant is in the same premises as the famous casalinga restaurant with their "chocolate-tier", and there's a coffee roastery as well on site.

they only serve lunch, which is a pay per plate buffet. you can put as much as you want on your plate - but you soon learn to find your favorites and save space on your plate for that. the options and variety of raw and cooked foods are amazing. everything tastes so good.

when it comes to dessert though, i find the idea of a cheese cake without the cheese to be a bit of a stretch, although over time their desserts have become much tastier. i for one am quite happy to give dessert a skip though. (go get some chocolate from the nearby cassalinga)

don't forget to pay a visit to their small on-site deli for some healthy goodies for your pantry, and spend some time walking around the beautiful grounds to round of the experience.

my birthday lunch gave me the opportunity to drag my entire, skeptical, family along to what my carbi & carnivorous brother referred to as the "grazing meadows"!!!
as expected, his sarcasm was soon swallowed when he saw the spectacular spread on offer! of course, the craft beer selection didn't hurt either, but this is a great offering of leafy greens that often deters my dining partners from other veggie establishments.
from the craft beers and vegan pizza to the coconut coffees and and decadent desserts; i cannot fault anything at leafy greens and the fact that it has won the hearts of my whole family too makes it my number one restaurant for life! 💚

popped in the other day and found it to be melville-in-the-country style. however, despite its alternative setting the food was out of this world. really enjoyed the buffet and i'm not even a vegan. excellent selection and the malted carob was to die for. will be back

literally my favourite! :) i love love love leafy greens. if i lived any closer i would be there all the time.

the lunch buffet is just fantastic. i know it's pricey at r145 for a large plate, but i pile that plate up and get serious value for money. plus, you know that everything you are eating is organic, super clean, vegan (obvs) and delicious. i have never been disappointed. the service was always on point (shout out to jasper - he was great) and the setting is so beautiful.

it's my go to spot for a nice relaxed sunday lunch and i really really wish that it was just a bit closer to town...

ps: open up a sister branch in parkhurst ;) you'll make a killing.

lovely experience!
vegan food is usually perceived as "rabbit food" and leafy greens showed that to be so false! they showed what fresh ingredients, imagination & enthusiasm can do!
the food was all fresh, delicious and had such a variety to choose from. salads, cold foods, wraps, pizzas, bakes, dips and so much more...
ambience was great! will defiantly be going back...

i was excited to visit this place because my friends had set the bar real high and i am a vegetarian! everything was fresh, light and tasty. i was absolutely happy with everything that was laid out- would love to visit again !

there is a nice little coffee place outside leafy green. that too worked well post the scrumptious meal!

a heaven for a vegan or vegetarian to visit. a good set of variety to choose from and good salads in view, the kale salad was yum as the homemade kimchi was devine. the chickpea curry was good, just a bit to much turmeric for my palate as it made it a bit bitter. but overall a good meal experience. will defiantly be back, a good vegetarian place for a veggie mite like me.

the best vegan food in south africa!!!! i strongly advise you go and try the buffet (friday, sat, sun) soooo many choices and all equally delicious. you can have an entirely raw plate or cooked or a mixture. everything is fresh from their organic garden and made with love under the watchful eye of owner antonio. the setting is beautiful - on the lovely farm so be sure to have a wonder through the gardens afterwards. best chocolate vegan ice cream ever!!

it’s a lovely vegan restaurant in a beautiful setting. the food is nice. i had the lunch buffet which had a lot of variety but it didn’t wow me. i felt a r180 for a plate of food was a little too expensive for the food itself and not quite worth it. but it’s worth going to, even if it’s just for a almond milk latte and the beautiful gardens.
