leafy greens café

as non-vegans, it was with agreatdeal of curiosity that we had our lunch club at leafy  greens.  we all opted for the bigger of the two plate options & were really impressed with the variety of options.  the food was delicious (don't sound so surprised fi!!), & we all thoroughly enjoyed it.  i felt incredibly full, but managed to find space for a chocolaty nutty treat which i thought was a little small, but absolutely delicious!  the highlights for the group were the apple sherbet drink & the low light was a coconut drink served in its shell which was all of 2 sips. the location is lovely, but from a logistical point of view we were a bit frustrated when we came to pay that the card machine wasn't working (which we were only told when the bill came!!), but were given the option of doing an eft from the computer in the shop next to the restaurant.  so - would i go back - no - actually none of us would be desperate to, but that's the aim of our club - to try new places & new things!

loved my time spent at leafy greens! it's quite a drive but once you're there it's so worth it .. delicious food,greatservice and a soul filling atmosphere.

my birthday lunch gave me the opportunity to drag my entire, skeptical, family along to what my carbi & carnivorous brother referred to as the "grazing meadows"!!!
as expected, his sarcasm was soon swallowed when he saw the spectacular spread on offer! of course, the craft beer selection didn't hurt either, but this is agreatoffering of leafy greens that often deters my dining partners from other veggie establishments.
from the craft beers and vegan pizza to the coconut coffees and and decadent desserts; i cannot fault anything at leafy greens and the fact that it has won the hearts of my whole family too makes it my number one restaurant for life! 💚

food was bland and way overpriced for what we got. if this is jozi’s best vegan restaurant, we are in serious trouble!!! when you need a steak knife to get through a vegan wrap that hasn’t had any seasoning, it’s pretty bleak! hubby’s lasagne was deconstructed at best, with not a hint of bubbly browned cheese on top. carpaccio starter was shy on acidity/freshness and parmesan, gnocchi starter was meh...
worst part was that no-one came to ask how the meal was. and it was hubby’s birthday, so i didn’t want to make a fuss...
we won’t be back in anygreatrush... major let down after the rave reviews and 4,5 rating!

i had the mushroom benedict and while portion size wasgreatvalue for money.
my only challenge was the rosti tasted uncooked.

aside from this, the venue and space is a wonderful family spot

situated in beautiful surroundings. only for the serious vegetarians. greatspread on the buffet. not everything was to my liking and i find them overpriced. staff is very friendly however service can be improved.

also has a shop with all healthy goods with selected fresh fruit and veggies

amazing food! amazing atmosphere! amazing kombucha! simply amazing!!! friendly staff aswell and a truelygreateating experience. i definately recommend this to everyone, vegan and non-vegan!!!

we went to leafy greens and had the sunday buffet. it was delicious!! 🤭 the variety of vegan food is so creative and tasty! we were suprised by how much we enjoyed vegan dishes.

great location, very easy to find. very tranquil atmosphere. we had agreatwaiter who was very helpful and friendly. the menu options for breakfast and lunch are short and sweet. i had the bunless beetroot burger which was yummy. next time i will definitely choose the buffet and have a taste of everything.

my absolute favorite place to go on a sunday. apple sherbet is to die for and their buffet variety is great. a vegetarians dream come true. desserts also very good.greatatmosphere.

the organic food is truly amazing. leafy green made me rethink what you can do with vegetables and naturally grown food. their menu is unique, like nothing i've ever seen. itsgreatfor vegetarians and actually tastes great!

absolutely amazing.greatsetting. peaceful. good service, the vegetarian fair is just a taste adventure. taking non - vegetarians may be risky...but the food isgreatand everyone will leave satiated.

get there early in the weekend as they are always packed.

tasty food. big variety when you have the buffet. i like taking a walk through the garden.greatto have such fresh healthy meal while sitting outdoors. i like the vibe. and the leafy greens recipe book is worth buying.

raw and vegan peeps this is the place for you...all veg grown on premises and you can taste the freshness. only downside is the per plate, big or small or a bowl buffet setup and it's a bit pricey. probably because it's for a niche market.greatlittle shop as well.

i went here for the first time with a friend. the food was great, i don't usually eat vegan food. more vegetarian options but everything here tasted amazing and the food had a lot of flavour. i though the dessert would not be as sweet, but you proved me wrong
