really niceplacein old montréal for breakfast. the lattes here are really good (recommend the maple latte if you like maple). the pastries are excellent. the brunch items were delicious. highly recommend trying thisplaceif in montréal. it is a little pricey for breakfast/brunch but the portions are large.

don’t be surprised to see people waiting outside le cartet before the restaurant’s even opened. during the warmer months there’s several tables outside, so having a pre-brunch drink (sourced elsewhere, of course) can easily be accommodated before the doors finally unlock at 9:00 am. available during weekends until 3:30pm, the restaurant’s a popularplacefor brunch – locals and tourists alike.

accompanying their brunch mains is a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice and an amuse-bouche: a lovely creamy bread pudding square that’ll convert those who normally complain the dessert’s too mushy. instead, it’s a soft cakey delight, a wonderful way to tide over anyone who’s hungry, but if you can resist scarfing it down right away, a lovely sweet ending.

le cartet’s take on eggs benedict is the brunch toscan ($18.95). the poached eggs, spinach and english muffins are topped with mornay sauce (a cheesy béchamel) instead of customary hollandaise. yet, it’s the ham that’s the highlight – no sad deli meat slices here; instead, you’ll discover thick hunks of flavourful smoked pork that meaty and delicious. the duck fat roasted potatoes aren’t overly heavy, having been lightened with a spritz of lemon, and

greatplaceto brunch but forever waiting line up. yet, it is worth the wait. their menu suites everyone. they have dishes that are heavy others that are light. they have healthy food as much as very fattening plates. the drinks are good too! other than the waiting, everything is great!

thisplacewas fantastic! one of the best brunches i've had in mtl. arrived around 11 am on saturday to only a short line. service was prompt and efficient and the food was fabulous!! had the atlantique and my friend had the sucre. both delicious, generous portions. i wouldn't hesitate to return!

a pretty goodplacefor brunch with a wide selection and the staff is pretty attentive.

the amuse bouche (if thats how you spell it) was pretty good and the brunche cartet is pretty filling although i was surprised by the large amount of salad on the side

the salmon cake was tasty and the ham croissant was absolutely amazing, for me it was the highlight of the plate. not a big fan of cheese sticks

definately give thisplacea try, will visit again for other dishes!

yes, the food is great, the service is quick. but it is also a very coolplaceto be in. the vibe is terrific! atmosphere is very positive and relaxed. people are smiling and chatting happily. i would just go there for the shot of positivity in the morning. and i love their little store in the corner, full of wonderful completely overpriced goodies. you'll want to buy one, even if you don't need it.

my favouriteplacefor breakfast/brunch in the old port. food is always consistent in taste and quality. the onlyplacewhere i'll actually wait to get a table as it's worth it. i like the brunch des canton but everything i had there was good.

thisplaceis great for breakfast and brunch. they have a great mix of healthy and hearty options which i really like. their greek yogurt is a favourite of mine, along with their crepes. service is okay, sometimes it's difficult to flag down your waitress but most mornings here they are really busy so i get it. nevertheless they're prompt and got all my orders right. the restaurant has a chic vibe that i adore, and i also love that you can buy a lot of their foods, snacks, tea, coffee, and drinks easily to go if you're on the run. i'd definitely come back for seconds and also for their weekend brunch when i have a chance!

too expensive, not tasty enough. i wouldn't go back. theplaceis nice, but the food is just ok. for the price, i was expecting more. there were only three pieces of potatoes in the plate. restaurants that try to be fancy only put a few because they think minimalism is more sophisticated, but i think it just looks cheap.

brunch and lunch grabbers, watch out for this amazing restaurant-boutique where you can eat and buy delicious treats, meals, teas, coffees and much, way much more. le cartet is very charming with its modern chic ambiance that is reflected through the decor and the interior design. with a high ceiling, huge windows that let the natural light in, wooden rustic-modern tables and a boutique-restaurant concept, le cartet has a really unique experience to offer. the chic breakfast loft atmosphere and the overall layout of thisplacemake everything very comfortable, cozy and friendly. now, let us talk about the part you have all been waiting for: the food. if you are looking for delicious, filling and well-presented breakfast and brunches, you are at the right place.

le cartet is one of my favourite breakfast spot in montreal. sun-no-sun, le resto boutique  is always a gloriousplaceto start the day with its high ceilings and long wooden tables. its grandeur lays in its extensive breakfast & brunch menu. whether it be during the week or  le week-end, omelettes and bagels are consistently plated, beautifully, savoury and served in more than satisfying proportions. i barely ever manage to finish my plate each time i eat here… but would never think of sharing because of how good and comforting the food is. coffee cups are magically refilled and the service is laid-back, in a good way. no wonder we weren’t the only one ready to brave the polar vortex to enjoy le cartet on this cold cold morning.

theplacewas crowded and but service did not seem slow for a sunday morning brunch. this may not be theplacefor a quiet, intimate chat with your friend at this time of the day, but certainly i will come back for the decor and the energy this restaurant exudes.
