anzac day lunch. my husband and i stopped at thisrestaurantfor lunch on anzac day, what a disappointment.
we both ordered fish and chips with mushy peas. we waited a long time (certainly they were very busy) and when it did arrive i couldn't believe the size of the portions. two tiny fish fillets and a small basket of chips and some mushy peas all of which were not the hottest either. not even a piece of lemon on the side like other customers seem to get on their plate. on paying the bill we weren't even asked how our meal was.
i contacted the manager twice by email and i am still waiting on a reply.
this is the smallest serve of fish and chips i have had in 54 years, definitely not worth the money.
on a positive note we were seated promptly and the waitress was quick to serve the drinks and also pleasant.

got a reply eventually, i suppose prompted by the urbanspoon review. it seems that the manager's view of his/herrestaurantwill not be swayed by customer perception

i have never written a reveiw before, mainly due to the fact that arestauranthasn't stood out too much to me before, with beautiful ocean views & friendly staff this is now my favourite place to eat in rockingham. the only way to describe the food is 'perfection' massive steak with lobster got me straight away. i give this place 8.5/10

went here for my boyfriend birthday as he said he liked it in the past. don’t know if it’s now under new management but the whole experience was terrible it ruined our day!

firstly it was speaking in a rude tone, the food was not good, boyfriend said he didn’t want brussel sprouts but broccolini, they gave him brussel sprouts. an honest mistake, we forgave and said nothing.

my food wasn’t good, raw tomatoes in the pasta and just tasted like bland tomatoes . didn’t complain.

but the cherry on top was when they didn’t put the birthday message on my boyfriends dessert after i called not once but twice that this would be possible, which they confirmed . not only did they let me down, but couldn’t give a hoot. rather than be apologetic or offer to rectify. after i complained they took no responsibility at all! just brushed it off last minute like it was nothing! i’m truely upset and will never come back because you gave me the worstrestaurantdinning experience in my life!

had steak and lobster, lobster was cooked to death and was like rubber, steak was 50 percent gristle and no taste. how can arestaurantnot know how to cook lobster and the cheap cuts of meat are disgusting for a visit that cost over $100. i will never go to latitude 32 again and advise other not to. however the staff and service were great pity about the chef.

we tried the place on valentines day.. the views from therestaurantis pretty spot on. we picked the seafood platter and it was pretty yummy. it had a bit of everything and sort of like a proper meal for two 😀.
then came the main course the food was quality but we were too full. the wine jus with prime rib was spot on and pork was cooked to perfection. i would definitely recommend the place .
price wise its a bit on the high side .. but ambience and quality of food think we can skip that .!😅

food is pretty good, but for the price you would hope so! service was not great. staff are pleasant but make many mistakes. it wasn't a very busy night so i think they just weren't on the ball. would be a lovely place for a romantic meal, and the view is great. has everything you want in a high endrestaurantbut just didn't pull it off the night we went 😟

we love latitude 32. with not many options by way of good food down in rockingham, this place is a hidden gem. if you just take a few fortunate steps past sunsets on the beach, you will be there.
the daily changing tasting plate is excellent - we always start with this and a glass of their house bubbly, which is also lovely.
our favourite dish so far is their gnocchi - even without the meat additions, this is a beautiful little comfort dish.
you obviously cant go past the views at thisrestaurant- as the sun is setting, they are to die for. a great place to take friends, family or tourists. what a wonderful way to show off the state we live in...
and lastly, the staff are what make us keep coming back. i don't usually find myself wanting to tip waitstaff in perth, but there hasn't been one instance where we have left without tipping. they are such happy and considerate people. very friendly, chatty and wanting to help. i hope the owner/s know what fantastic people they have on staff and praise them accordingly :)

dined at latitude 32 last night with my wife and having been before looked forward to a nice dining experience in what is a nice venue but unfortunately ended up feeling that i should have just cooked dinner at home.
i'm not a difficult customer to please but when i'm paying for a food experience that is pushing itself as a finer dinningrestaurantwith the price tag to match i think you have an obligation to not have customers walking away feeling like a failed punter.
i ordered a bottle of shiraz and though it was cheap compared to the other listings, it was that bad i couldn't drink it.. i mean it was worse than the $6 bargain bin of dan murphy's..
i should have stayed at home, put a piece of pork belly on my weber, a sara lee desert and picked up a $12 bottle of shiraz… i'm not a chef but would have knocked this experience out of the park..
this is a real shame as it has probably the best locations in the area..

waitstaff fantastic - food terrible. waitstaff were competent, friendly, and professional. just a massive shame the food was so underwhelming. steaks were grisly and not well cooked. two of our party ordered medium and two ordered medium rare - medium rare steaks were closer to rare, and the medium steaks came out 'well done'. mine was cooked very unevenly the whole way through and didn't even finish as it was unpleasant to eat. flavour was bland and accompanying vegetables looked like reheated leftovers. potatoes were served cold.
on top of that, chefs found it very difficult to accommodate a garlic allergy and when we finally found an entree that we could order that would come without garlic - we found that they had simply removed the sauce (the garlic component) and not bothered to replace it with a suitable alternative. not at all worth it for the premium price thisrestaurantis asking.

great view and friendly staff. lunch on saturday with friends - first outing for husband after major surgery. beautiful day, beautiful ocean views, and great friends.

excellent service and no waiting. reasonable prices. two of us had fish n chips, one had bruschetta. all good. husband ordered caesar salad. unfortunately, lettuce (the main ingredient) was wilted, "burnt" on the edges and included an excessive amount of browning stems. he was not asked how he would like his poached egg (soft), so hard was a surprise.

on politely complaining, we received immediately acknowledgement which we were really happy about, although we were a little underwhelmed by the cup of tea offered as an apology (it was very weak).

overall our experience was positive, and we will try thisrestaurantagain, and in particular the caesar salad. we would love thisrestaurantto be successful.

just had dinner here with my mum for my birthday, and all i can say is this;
perfection. service was faultless from start to finish, waitstaff friendly, discreet, knowledgable and attentive. i've worked in the industry for many years, and can happily say this was the best dining experience i have had in recent years. prime rib steak was *literally* the best cut of beef i've ever eaten. onion rings and garlic bread both fresh and tasty. mum's barramundi was also amazing.
cannot praise thisrestauranthighly enough - bravo, keep up the fantastic work and thank you for such a delicious birthday dinner.

i was told "at last there's a decentrestaurantin rockingham". i read a few reviews and decided to try it out last night for my daughters birthday dinner. i felt we paid toprestaurantprices and were served cafe food. my steak was over cooked and very dry, even the sauce couldn't save it. won't be going back in a hurry.

great atmosphere...mediocre food. the atmosphere, decor, comfort factor, view at thisrestaurantis magnificent...
food....not bad....but not delicious! i ordered an entree and a side. the wild mushrooms were great- because i love mushrooms, but there was nothing amazing with the way they were cooked or served. i believe i have a better technique at home...and i go to arestaurantto eat finer food than i can make at home myself.
goats cheese on crostini was another average dish. such a simple dish- yet i can't put my finger on what wasn't right. the goats cheese was pre-spread on 3 pieces of crostini- and it was like it had started to set..the 'salsa' at the bottom of the dish was just a pre- prepared bruschetta mix. it was just 'alright'.
i will go back- because i'd like to give some of the hefty mains a try- and the menu was amazing...maybe my simple choices were half the problem?

fine dining at latitude 32. latitude 32 review
after reading some not to kindly review about a supposedly fine dining establishment in matilda bay, we cancelled and chose the local “latitude 32” instead for our special occasion. our experience there for lunches gave us a positive expectation.
deciding on the “scallop” entree, it arrived with just three mixed size scallops topped with bacon piece, some “rocket” salad and all swimming in a “blue cheese” based sauce with a few chips of “poached pear” scattered around. it looked okay, however presentation is one thing and taste can be another. the “blue cheese” dressing was over-powering and fought off any taste the slightly underdone scallops might have had. the bacon piece was greasy and should have been left off or a crispy piece of pancetta would have been better. the poached pear went some way towards offsetting the over-bearing blue cheese, but the little chips of it was hardly enough and the rocket salad just didn’t do anything for this entree. we were disappointed, however the waiting staff must have sensed this and we soon had the maitre visiting the table to get the same feedback described above. we know how to fix this dish and it will be a home cooked favourite in future.
we went separate ways for mains, one “barramundi” and the other “salmon” but both served with an “almond” laced “cheese risotto” some whole “beans” and “asparagus” tips. the barramundi was delightful with a slightly poached taste and lovely crispy skin, and the salmon beautifully cooked and a similar crispy skin. the side items complimented both these main ingredients in a spectacular way, and if there was a criticism at all it would be that the barramundi was sitting on a puddle of olive oil rather than a drizzle. the risotto was beautiful with the crunchy almond setting it off a treat, and the beans and asparagus tips were crispy, tasty and in perfect portion size. we really enjoyed this main course and given that both entree and mains sizes left plenty of room we explored the desert menu with enthusiasm.
the “cream broulee” with “raspberry sorbet” and sliced “champaign poached peach” slices appealed to both of us. it proved to be a spectacular way to end the dinner with the tangy sorbet a hit. the peaches perhaps a little hard, the tart just a tad heavy, however everything on the desert plate was sweet, tasty and balanced. wonderful desert and fitting end to our special event.
the staff were attentive (perhaps a little to much) and the time between courses was a little less time than we would have liked. probably because it was a monday night and a few empty tables amongst twenty or so people dining out there. overall we really enjoyed our night that set us back $157.00 (meals and a bottle central victorian white sparkling wine), and after the maître d very kindly discounted the entree’s cost by one. the cost a little more than some might pay, the meal portions a little smaller, but all and all a very pleasant dining experience and most suited for “special occasion” or dinner with friends. it is worth noting that thisrestauranthas a bar and lighter meal section where good quality cheaper bistro type meals are available (our lunch’s experience). unfortunately the outlook from therestaurantis currently not the lovely seascape it would normally be given rockingham city council has chosen to schedule jetty restoration work that has cranes, metal fences and donger’s in the way.
enjoy.....
