liked the $19 lunch menu - plenty of choice and keeps things simple. the waitstaff were very friendly and professional. the wait for food was noticeably a bit too long, butgoodwhen it arrived. w had the chicken burger and chips, i had the chicken quesadilla with chips and a side salad. both meals were fine for the price. i would have liked if there had been a bit less chicken and some avocado in the quesadilla instead, it got a bit samey in flavour. or maybe guacamole on the side as well as sour cream? the chips were really good! we used an entertainment book voucher which made the meal quite cheap. a bit strange that a manager had to authorise the discount (no complaints or difficulties, just a slight delay) but then didn't validate the voucher on the app?

good food and reasonable prices. staff do tend to get distracted but the view andgoodfood made up for it.

definitely a place to go in summer with a group of friends for lunch.

just feel ripped off...

great view and friendly professional staff, but i can get over being charge $44 for the ribs.

nice place to watch the bay and sunset (there are 3 other places with same view to dine). venue has a restaurant, large bar area and plenty of outdoor beachfront seating.

we were recommended by a friend to try lattitude32 and upon arrival greeted by very friendly staff. service continued to begoodand be above the wa norm.

we ordered a philly sandwich and ribs. both served with fries and aioli. the sandwich was ok, nothing special about the taste or amount of meat. the small basket of fries and generic aioli are the norm and nothing exceptional. the ribs were very disappointing. presentation was just uninviting. they were served room temperature (seemed like the were cooked night before and taken from cool room and reheated) with little to no charring. the serving size was ridiculously small, the slaw was drowning in mayonnaise and the fries were the same as the sandwich.

not a place i will hurry back to, 3 others for me to try first.

went here on friday night with my wife. the setting is brilliant , right on the waters edge. i had bruschetta for an entree and it was very nice if not a little big. my wife had the bug gratin which she found a little chewy.
for mains i had chicken oscar. the seafood was like rubber the potatoe inedible. the chicken was ok but no better than anyone could do at home. it was certainly not worth $44.85.
my wife had the prime rib which she did not finish saying it tasted boiled.
i had a gin and tonic. the gin came in a tumbler with ice and lemon $10.35. then they give you a bottle of tonic water, small, $6.33. that's a $16.68 drink. theres getting touched and then theres getting touched. my wife had a junior jones pinot noir $10.93. thats about average, and it tasted ok probably because it had nothing to do with the kitchen. all in all a very average meal in a nice setting withgoodservice and we left $157.56 on the counter

we love latitude 32. with not many options by way ofgoodfood down in rockingham, this place is a hidden gem. if you just take a few fortunate steps past sunsets on the beach, you will be there.
the daily changing tasting plate is excellent - we always start with this and a glass of their house bubbly, which is also lovely.
our favourite dish so far is their gnocchi - even without the meat additions, this is a beautiful little comfort dish.
you obviously cant go past the views at this restaurant - as the sun is setting, they are to die for. a great place to take friends, family or tourists. what a wonderful way to show off the state we live in...
and lastly, the staff are what make us keep coming back. i don't usually find myself wanting to tip waitstaff in perth, but there hasn't been one instance where we have left without tipping. they are such happy and considerate people. very friendly, chatty and wanting to help. i hope the owner/s know what fantastic people they have on staff and praise them accordingly :)

i went to latitude 32 with high expectations, having heard onlygoodthings from family & friends. however, my wife and i were a little disappointed with our experience.

we started with an entree of mushrooms stuffed with brie cheese, consisting of 2 small stuffed and crumbed mushrooms with 2 tablespoons worth of side salad..... for $16! the mushrooms were very bland, but the crumb was crunchy. a very mediocre entree.

main course of king george whiting, chorizo croquettes, & a pumpkin & rocket salad was a huge let down. for a start, there was no rocket whatsoever. instead, in its place was cos lettuce... making for a very bland salad. the whiting, 2 small fillets, was cold & overcooked... a big disappointment considering the $44 price tag. the chorizo croquettes were delicious & well cooked (if only i'd ordered a plate of these).

the highlight was our main of rib eye steak with garlic prawns. the steak was one of the best i've had, cooked as ordered & seasoned perfectly. the prawns however were utter crap, obviously the frozen, imported variety. garlic prawns had no garlic, resulting in an extra $4 order of garlic sauce.

location was beautiful. background music was that of a dodgy nightclub. service was okay, though not what you'd expect considering the average price of meals etc. a very average experience.

very disappointed with this restaurant. i had heard about it on tv show 'great about perth' so after a long weekend away down south we thought we'd stop in here for lunch on our way back to perth. the service wasgoodthe lady was very welcoming friendly and attentive but the food was shocking. we both ordered the garlic prawns with risotto as it sounded amazing on the menu. we got over cooked prawns, i couldn't even taste the garlic in the sauce it was just soupy and straight butter. the risotto was grainy and completely undercooked. i left more than half of my plate as i was completely dissatisfied with the flavour and the lack of quality put into this dish. i think i would have been able to make it better from my own kitchen. very very disappointed and will not be returning to latitude 32.

if you like your steak dry and cold.. over priced cold food. the steak i ordered was meant to be medium rare but it came cold an medium. seared scallops were underdone and also a cold dish.

go elsewhere if your looking for fine dining as this place will take agoodportion of money for an average quality meal.

fine dining at latitude 32. latitude 32 review
after reading some not to kindly review about a supposedly fine dining establishment in matilda bay, we cancelled and chose the local “latitude 32” instead for our special occasion. our experience there for lunches gave us a positive expectation.
deciding on the “scallop” entree, it arrived with just three mixed size scallops topped with bacon piece, some “rocket” salad and all swimming in a “blue cheese” based sauce with a few chips of “poached pear” scattered around. it looked okay, however presentation is one thing and taste can be another. the “blue cheese” dressing was over-powering and fought off any taste the slightly underdone scallops might have had. the bacon piece was greasy and should have been left off or a crispy piece of pancetta would have been better. the poached pear went some way towards offsetting the over-bearing blue cheese, but the little chips of it was hardly enough and the rocket salad just didn’t do anything for this entree. we were disappointed, however the waiting staff must have sensed this and we soon had the maitre visiting the table to get the same feedback described above. we know how to fix this dish and it will be a home cooked favourite in future.
we went separate ways for mains, one “barramundi” and the other “salmon” but both served with an “almond” laced “cheese risotto” some whole “beans” and “asparagus” tips. the barramundi was delightful with a slightly poached taste and lovely crispy skin, and the salmon beautifully cooked and a similar crispy skin. the side items complimented both these main ingredients in a spectacular way, and if there was a criticism at all it would be that the barramundi was sitting on a puddle of olive oil rather than a drizzle. the risotto was beautiful with the crunchy almond setting it off a treat, and the beans and asparagus tips were crispy, tasty and in perfect portion size. we really enjoyed this main course and given that both entree and mains sizes left plenty of room we explored the desert menu with enthusiasm.
the “cream broulee” with “raspberry sorbet” and sliced “champaign poached peach” slices appealed to both of us. it proved to be a spectacular way to end the dinner with the tangy sorbet a hit. the peaches perhaps a little hard, the tart just a tad heavy, however everything on the desert plate was sweet, tasty and balanced. wonderful desert and fitting end to our special event.
the staff were attentive (perhaps a little to much) and the time between courses was a little less time than we would have liked. probably because it was a monday night and a few empty tables amongst twenty or so people dining out there. overall we really enjoyed our night that set us back $157.00 (meals and a bottle central victorian white sparkling wine), and after the maître d very kindly discounted the entree’s cost by one. the cost a little more than some might pay, the meal portions a little smaller, but all and all a very pleasant dining experience and most suited for “special occasion” or dinner with friends. it is worth noting that this restaurant has a bar and lighter meal section wheregoodquality cheaper bistro type meals are available (our lunch’s experience). unfortunately the outlook from the restaurant is currently not the lovely seascape it would normally be given rockingham city council has chosen to schedule jetty restoration work that has cranes, metal fences and donger’s in the way.
enjoy.....

excellent service and food. we highly recommend latitude 32 to anyone who is looking forgoodservice and food. i have had throat cancer and have great difficulty finding edible food at restaurants. the staff at latitude were very helpful and could not do enough to help. they even moved away from the menu so as to make something i could eat. i can't speak highly enough about them. congratulations on having such lovely staff and a great attitude. it's great for rockingham to have such a fine restaurant.

lunch on sunny day for birthday. i was very impressed with latitude 32. rockingham needs more places like this to be able to enjoy the beautiful views with special friends and families. the staff were verygoodand we were looked after well. the food was well presented.i will go back again as i felt it was very enjoying..
the only comment i would make the champagne was a bit pricey at $45 and i would have liked a tartee sauce to go with my grilled fish, next time i will ask. the tasting plate was really nice. thankyou i will be back to enjoy the ambience and food again with friends.
