i went to latitude 32 with high expectations, having heard only good things from family & friends. however, my wife and i were a little disappointed with our experience.
we started with an entree of mushrooms stuffed with brie cheese, consisting of 2 small stuffed and crumbed mushrooms with 2 tablespoons worth of side salad..... for $16! the mushrooms were very bland, but the crumb was crunchy. a very mediocre entree.
main course of king george whiting, chorizo croquettes, & a pumpkin & rocket salad was a huge let down. for a start, there was no rocket whatsoever. instead, in its place was cos lettuce... making for a very bland salad. the whiting, 2 small fillets, was cold & overcooked... a big disappointment considering the $44 price tag. the chorizo croquettes were delicious & wellcooked(if only i'd ordered a plate of these).
the highlight was our main of rib eye steak with garlic prawns. the steak was one of the best i've had, cookedas ordered & seasoned perfectly. the prawns however were utter crap, obviously the frozen, imported variety. garlic prawns had no garlic, resulting in an extra $4 order of garlic sauce.
location was beautiful. background music was that of a dodgy nightclub. service was okay, though not what you'd expect considering the average price of meals etc. a very average experience.
