ordered steak for 2 medium rare, could not cut it sent itbackand the manager sent out 2 very small fillets about a 20 dollar value but charged us 55 dollars for the original steak we couldn't eat! we will not be back!! there is allot better steaks for less money just about anywhere in lbk!

we have been here many times and the service is usually average to slightly above average, but tonight it was below average. arrived for reservation after calling and requesting a table by the windows- we were sat at the verybackas far from the windows as you can get. that was fine- it was a busy night, so i understand. the issue was that no server appeared to have responsibility for our table, so we sat and waited, and waited with two hungry children. no drink order, no contact, nothing... finally, i asked a server to locate the server for our table. eventually, someone arrived. maybe just an off night.

way overpriced.. went out for a friday night date, had never been here before. staff was courteous, service was great. the food was good, but nowhere near as good as the price would have you believe. i have had better steaks for less than half the price. the only thing i believe that was priced appropriately in my opinion was the $9 banana foster dessert. will not bebackdue to excessively high prices for moderate quality food.

i went here for my college graduation and there were a lot of people in my group so i was expecting poor service...boy was i wrong!!! every steak at our table was cooked perfectly, which rarely happens at the other steakhouses in lubbock. we ordered the appetizer sampler, lobster mac & cheese, baked potatoes, and creamed spinach. all of which were stellar and delicious. the lobster mac & cheese and creamed spinach sent me straight to heaven. the sides portions were huge and we got to take home a ton of leftovers. the wine list was impressive as well. i dont understand why there are so many negative reviews on here and i cant wait to gobackto las brisas for my anniversary in a couple of weeks. loved every single thing about this place.

i cannot understand people's obsession with this overpriced poor excuse for fine cuisine restaurant. i like a fool keep trying this place, last night marks my fourth try. how hard is it to cook rice? my risotto was crunchy and my salmon was undercooked. the waitstaff is helpful and friendly. i won't be goingbackif i have a say in it. maybe people go here so they can flaunt their money to each other and prove to the world that they can afford to pay for mediocre food. it's laughable to me, maybe the citizens of lubbock should get out more and learn what good food is.

new owners result in bad food. every since this restaurant (which used to be one of my faves) was taken over by the guys that own buffalo wild wings it has just gone down hill fast. my wife and i come here for special occassions and have always enjoyed ourselves. my favorite is the bone in ribeye. it's usually huge, juicy and seasoned well. the last time we visited it was none of the above...except still huge. after waiting over 30 minutes (with not much service - empty glasses and couldn't get a second glass of wine to save our lives - our food came. i ordered my ribeye mr and peppered. it came out almost well done and not peppered and very dry. had to send it back. also, the asparagus were hard, not really sauteed. it was like they forgot to make them and sent them out almost raw. my wife had the pork chop, again, dry and underseasoned. she ate it anyway. at this time we still have not received our second glasses of wine. after my ribeye cameback(almost cooked correctly) we ate and left. never getting our wine and not ordering dessert (which we always order bananas foster). so dissapointed. i guess this is what happens when some guys that run a chain wing joint try to go into the business of fine dining.

made a reservation for 7:30 and arrived on time. the hostess said the table was being cleaned. she gave us a buzzer and asked us to wait in the lounge. after sitting in the lounge for 15 minutes we wentbackto the hostess stand. she seemed startled and said "oh yeah i was just about to page you" she then asked us" do you still want the table?"we said yes so she grabbed menus and said"let me make sure your table is ready" so we waited for her to return. we followed her to our table. so after finally getting past the horrible hostess we sit at or table waiting for the waiter. we waited for quite awhile for the waiter. he was talking to the people at the table next to us. he just kept talking. finally he came over just to say "i'll be right with you" so we waited more. we had enough time to decided on a starter, our main course with sides, and which dessert. we didn't even have water yet! we got up and left. we were celebrating our anniversary and did not feel like paying a large fee to be treated like crap and ignored. we went to texas roadhouse and spent less than what we were planning on, had a lot more fun, and much better service. i do not plan on attempting to eat here ever again.

hmm..not sure.. very nice atmosphere. i ordered the brochette, the tenderloin medallions were really good. however, i requested the vegetable risotto the one i got was the spicy risotto, it was over seasoned and not palatable. the bacon wrapped shrimp that came with appetizer were good, however they were seasoned differently in the brochette and bacon were not cooked. i would gobackagain..but i would stick to a steak.

a part of my life. this restaurant was the first decent restaurant my wife and i found in lubbock. we had our engagement dinner there, our rehersal dinner there, we went there for our second anniversary and we have had lunch or dinner there every time i have comebackto lubbock. the food is consistantly good and the atmosphere is great. i'll keep goingbackas long as their around.

i read a lot of mixed reviews on uspoon, so tried it out myself. wow. not kidding, best flavored steak i've ever eaten- go for the bone in ribeye! yeah it's pricy, but it's a hundred times better quality than any roadhouse restaurant.. and the sides were almost as good as the steak! great unique ceasar and more wine than you could imagine. cool place, cool staff, our server was a guy they called knuckles, ask him to tell you a joke, funny guy! will bebackagain and again!

horrible waste of money and food. this place was just horrible. the food was flavorless and greasy and ridiculously over priced. i would never ever go here again. i would swear that our server was either drunk or severely hung over, he was swaying and bumped into the table several times. also, although we went to dinner early, at like 5:30, so that it wasn't busy, they seated us in thebackroom where all we could see were a sea of empty tables. no view. no windows. not even in the same room as the lovely view even though the place was pretty much empty. totally inexcusable. salads were pretty lame and bland too.

one of the best porterhouse steaks i have ever eaten in my entire life. right up there with mortons and ruths chris. my wife and i tried the the place because a friend gave us a gift certificate to dine here. it still has the southwest theme from other restaurants that failed here before. not an elegant atmosphere. chairs hard, bar nice. wasn't expecting much. salad came out, average, still not expecting much. we ordered the special which was the bone-in porterhouse for two. a nice thick steak. asked for it medium rare of course with a nice crust on the outside. waiter said he would take care of it. still didn't expect much. steak came out, looked perfectly cooked on the outside, just like i asked. this peeked my interest. it also looked perfectly cooked inside. now i was becoming quite interested. took my first bite of the new york strip side, my taste buds started dancing and my whole body felt like it was floating. then i started to have fun, relaxed, ordered a nice bottle of wine and my demenor changed from eh to oh my. haven't beenbacksince as i am afraid that they won't be able to duplicate the experience again. this level of quality is hard to come by in lubbock, let alone many other places. however, the memory of that steak still calls ms, i know i'll gobackeventuall, if just to satisfy my curiosity if they can do it again. i have my fingers crossed.
