a great bakery near the sister's bazaar. most of the items on their menu are great, prepared with care and love. the ambiance has a very english county feel to it. they also sell books by mussoorie based writers and t shirts. highly recommended is their stick jaw toffees and carrot cake

while doing our research for before vising landour, we found this bakery mentioned almost everywhere. we visited this around lunch and it was pretty crowded. we shared our table with a solo traveler and tried a variety of food items. we loved the chocolate croissant and junglee chicken crepe. peanut butter blondie was amazing too.

landour bakehouse is a place where people just don’t come to eat but the celebrate this place.

even before visiting here we were so excited as we had read so much about it.

landour is tiny, calm and beautiful hill town and the bake house which has been there since ages attracts people like anything.

we were surprised to see that a crowd was waiting to grab to seat, which varied from old people narrating there boarding days stories and young people/ foreigners glued to the amazing view from the windows and appreciating the vintage but well kept interiors of the cafe.

we shared our table with a brigadier who was kind enough to offer us the seats and also enlightened us about his experience of the bakehouse a kid while he studied at a boarding school here.

and then we came to eating which was even more enjoyable after all the discussion.

we ordered a chicken junglee crepe as it was most recommended, a chocolate crepe, eclair with whipped creme, chocolate croissant, peanut butter blondie, a hot chocolate and a cappuccino.

it was a delightful experience to eat such great food.

worth a visit and every moment spent here.

tried 4-5 things.

the garlic cheese croissant was the best.
cinnamon roll didn't have distinct cinnamon flavours.
cappuccino was flat.
apple tart didn't have cinnamon :( tasted decent tho.
cranberry nut chocolate was more like a granola bar.

too over rated.

view is stunning.
polite staff.

landour’s own and the finest!

this cute little bakery has a british touch with wooden infrastructure, and owned by the famous rokeby manor.
they have all kinds of bakery items to hog on; and also landour souvenirs to take home like t-shirts, mugs, books by mussoorie local authors! the t-shirt has the quote ‘life’s better in landour’ at just rs. 500 which is decent!

i bought home their cheese bread which is just cheese and garlic on the surface, and not stuffed. milti grain was pretty good too. they have cookie flavours like magic, oatmeal, peanut butter choco chip etc which are sold in portions of 4.
other items include: oreo cupcakes (5/5), croissant (4/5), coffee strudel (2.5/5), eclair, cakes etc.

one thing that has all my heart is the brownie that they make. truly, something to go back for, everytime.

after a short hike up the hills to this spot in sister's bazaar, the cosy wooden interiors is very welcoming. i ordered bread pudding, carrot cake slice, cappuccino, packed peanut butter cookie and walnut pie.
out of these the ones i would recommend are the walnut pie and carrot cake minus the frosting. the subtle flavour of cinnamon in both pudding and carrot cake was great. however the food items itself can be much much better. it's a perfect ambience for spending some quality time and i look forward to improved taste on my next visit to musoorie.

we came here when it was raining profusely. so this little cafe was a good shelter. it was a small warm cozy cafe since the british era. ordered rose and almond cake and biscuits here. the ppl serving here are very humble.
both the cake and the biscuits tasted gym. the biscuits were jam filled.
