la vue waterfront restaurant

my boyfriend and i were excited to try thisrestauranttonight, and called at about 5pm to make an inquiry. the calls did not go through when we called twice, and by the time we arrived it was around 8pm and therestaurantwas closed although it says here that they are open until 11pm. we are very disappointed with our experience tonight.

intend to visit this waterfrontrestaurantfor a long time. eventually, we took the advantage of the fork festival of 50% off food bill for a dinner last night. 
the par of our expectation was set high. walked in and we were greeted by the well-trained professional wait-staff. nearly every tables are facing the nice view of the story bridge. no doubt, service and ambience achieve the full mark.
we ordered the de-bone quail, daily special lobster bisque for entrees and veal eye fillet and the ocean trout as the mains. entrees came to the table quicker than we expected. the aroma of rich lobster earned our appreciation and the huge portion of the stuffed quail was unexpected (i nearly thought it should be a chicken more than a quail). the grapes stuffed with the quail were interesting but i could not taste the sweetness from them. on the other hand, the braised lentils made the stuffed content slightly mushy. 
next came the mains. honestly, presentation was rustic and it is close to french country style dishes. both of the mains were average. we could not pick up the flaw but there was no surprised at all. overall, it was a slightly let down from our high expectation.

a romanticrestaurantthat can cater for all functions , events, parties , ala carte dining and special occasions. the location of thisrestaurantis hidden away from the hustle & bustle of eagle pier street, where we are situated along the board walk at the opposite end next to admiralty towers and in front of the marriott hotel. we are the closestrestaurantnearest to the famous story bridge with it's beautiful lights that change every week. in a beautiful setting that surrounds with natural parklands and boutique gardens - this is a unique and stylish venue that is not to be missed. the restaurants theme is bringing nature into the interior with bright happy art works from healing art design for magical ambience and positive -" chi energy " for upliftment,relaxation and tranquility. we are open 7 ( nights ) a week , monday to sunday 5.30pm to late . the food menu approaches an array of modern australian with a french and european flair.delicate sauces to captivate the palate , with starters , to follow and delicious desserts.

excellent food and best view of story bridge, friendly staff and manager, would be better if therestaurantcan replace table and chairs, will come back again!

therestaurantis in a lovely spot & décor is very nice without being too french - however i have to be honest and say that while a number of our mains were very nice, my fish was too salty (not by much but it made a difference to the dish), all desserts very nice.  what was truly terrible were the vegetables; please charge for them and let people who love them and want to have them get something that's lovely to have!   stop with 'watery, plain and completely unforgettable, smallest serve in the world' asap!  many a would be frenchrestaurantin brisbane have gone the same way and it's never been pretty....

just went to an incrediblerestaurantin brisbane. la vue exceptional food, wine and service and the chef made the night for us with his wit and hands on approach. a hidden gem honestly. 9/10. must experience.

wow! what a fun night full of delicious food from start to finish. i was meeting my family there and had some trouble finding the place. the head chef and owner came out of therestaurantto find me!! he then brought me back to his beautifulrestaurantand the moment i sat down, the laughs began. he is extremely hospitable and made us all laugh the whole night. such an amazing view and the food!!! so good and so well priced. perfect for a date or family and friends. thanks for the amazing night la vue!!

most incredible view and service, the food was impeccable and could not be faulted! the owner rinaldo was incredibly hospitable and makes therestaurantfeel so much more welcoming, ideal for any function, dinner or dessert treat! highly recommend :) i will be back!!

thanks to la vue, our wedding reception's food, service and ambiance was amazing. my partner and i choose to have our wedding reception at la vue for the stunning location on the brisbane river, excellent food and the relaxed and charming intimaterestaurantatmosphere. la vue accommodated 50 or so of our friends and family and made our wedding day a truly amazing experience. kenny (manager) was excellent to deal with during the lead up to our event, they were accommodating with changes to guest numbers, seating arrangements and the menu. therestaurantset up was fantastic, the cake and table decorations featured well on the day against the stunning storey bridge as a back drop. our menu was elegant and we have received so many compliments on the quality and presentation of the food. to start we chose alternate drops of duck risotto or king prawns followed by chicken and mushroom ballottine or veal fillet.

the la vue staff made the overall dining experience fantastic. the ambiance, décor and service were of the highest standard, all food came out promptly and our event ran very close to our desired timing. our guests have given feedback that all the servers on the day were pleasant and attentive to our guests needs. la vue's wine and beverage list was extremely comprehensive and i had no issues choosing an excellent wide variety of wines for the day which our patrons thoroughly enjoyed.

we look forward to coming back to la vue for a meal when we next visit brisbane. we couldn't fault anything for our event, everything went perfectly. we highly recommend thisrestaurantfor weddings or events as you won't be disappointed and we thank renaldo and his team for making our wedding on easter saturday the best day of our lives.

great experience. not really familiar with therestaurantscene, we picked la vue waterfrontrestaurantbased on previous reviews, and we weren't disappointed. fantastic food, amazing atmosphere and views of the storey bridge and the service could not be faulted (thanks to martin). a really enjoyablerestaurantto dine at.

bestrestaurantin brisbane!. we went to la vue last night for my daughters 21st birthday (5 people). not only was the view spectacular but the whole night, from the service, to the food, to the atmosphere of the restaurant, everything was exceptional! our family can't stop raving about this little gem, hidden with the best view in brisbane! we can't wait to return and could not recommend it highly enough!

perfect dining experience. from the moment my wife and i arrived we were shown incredible hospitality by knowledgeable and friendly staff. our table had a perfect view of the story bridge and the presentation of therestaurantwas of the highest standard. each of our five courses were flawless and the wine was matched perfectly to suit. this was by far the best dining experience we've had in years, possibly ever. all staff at la vue should be commended on their service, we have never been so well looked after.

best in brisbane!. best view, best food, best service, best atmosphere - what more could we have asked for. sitting at our table, the six of us had uninterrupted views of the ever-changing lights on the story bridge. the most comfortable chairs i've sat on in arestaurantfor many years made the conversation easy and enjoyable and i think we may have overstayed our welcome, being the last to leave but the staff were still smiling.

the food was amazing, from the soup de jour, the scallops, the magnificent eye fillet, chicken and pork to name a few. our table tried a good mix of the menu and everyone was delighted with their choice. thank you to all at lavue for a fantastic night.
