if you enjoy brick ovenpizzathis is the best in valley. good wine list and a decent choice of beers as well. soda comes in bottles so no free refill but they're massive so no worries!

the bestpizzai have had. the pesto chicken lasagna is incredible, moist and delicious. on a scale of 1-10 the cheesecake is, hands down, a 10. great date restaurant.

this is a small italian restaurant is historic glendale that serves up the bestpizzain the metro phoenix area. thepizzais certified by the italian government and uses the correct formula for an authentic neapolitan pizza. they handmade the cheese here and use certified tomatoes. this restaurant has been featured on diners drive inns and dives but don't hold that against them because thepizzais really great! i've been here a bunch of times and posted many of the photos up there. this time we started with a tasty eggplant appetizer special. the eggplant was very thin and cooked nicely it was stuffed with cheese and had a delicious tasty sauce on it.. my husband enjoyed a tastypizzaand i had a really big calzone. the calzone was stuffed with cheeses, and i added spinach and calabrian peppers for a little kick. had the delicious cheesecake for dessert. the cheesecake might be the best cheesecake that you can find anywhere in the valley. service is always great.

always busy but always good.. i've been to this restaurant enough times to call myself a fan. the food is delicious, the atmosphere is nice, the wait staff is accommodating and pleasant to be around, and it's located in one of the best shopping areas known to natives of glendale. my personal favorite out of everything on the menu is the italian stallion. if you like meat and you like pizza, this is certainly something you cannot pass up. a friend of mine is italian and swears by this pizza. as far as i've experienced, all of their pizzas are wonderful. some pasta dishes lack in the flavor you'd expect after having apizzathere, so it's best to just get the pizza. the salads are wonderful too, this is coming from a notorious salad hater. the only downside to this restaurant is that it is often busy. i suggest going around 2-3 in the afternoon, between the busy hours. essentially, if you love to eat pizza, especially good pizza, you need to visit la piazza al forno.

this time excellent. i usually get the margherita d.o.c. every time i come here because i love the high quality certified house made cheese and the certified delicious san marzano tomatoes on that light but structured chewypizzadough. my review won't be helpful but it will be truthful. i find the pizzas range from excellent to so-so from my visits. my two pictures i posted of the samepizzashow you how they can vary and my previous review explains what i had last time. i can say this time mypizzawas excellent with delicious flavor and very good texture. when you get a well madepizzahere you are getting the bestpizzain glendale!

inconsistant. i've been here a bunch of times and i do think some of the pizzas i had here were the very best you can get anywhere. i love the highest end ingredients that they use. i also like the neapolitan style of thepizzabeing so light and doesn't sit heavy in your stomach. besides the tasty pizzas the popular dish is the spaghetti pie. but my lastpizzahere might not be typical of what you normally get as a margherita as it was very wet and soggy so it wasn't as enjoyable as others i had here before. i say give them a try and see what you think.

this place never fails on delishness! always on point and never disappoints. big time props to the owners and staff!!! ur the best!!

pizza at its simplest! thispizzaembodies all that is the italian way of life . these guys lets the ingredients do the talking as well as their killer oven. salvatorepizzais my favorite and try the spaghetti pie, it's fantastic. the real gem has to be the cheesecake. you taste that and you will feel like you're in the big apple. feel free to let your guard down and splurge. you deserve it!

fantastic bruschetta! i mean really great. we split an italian stallianpizzaand sopped up our crust in the remaining olive oil from the bruschetta. great lunch, great friendly service. can't wait to go back.

just not what we expected. the 9 of us came to la piazza hoping for a great culinary experience, since we heard about their special authentic "neapolitan" pizza. we get there early and the waitress tells us we can't sit down until all of us were there. there we no seats to sit and wait outside.. when we finally get in, we ordered somepizzaand some of us spaghetti and meatballs( you would think a real easy meal). the waitress' service was slow. when we finally ordered, the bread finally came with no butter, so we had to ask for some. you would think it would be garlic bread, but no. as for the spaghetti, it was tasteless, as were the meatballs. not at all spicy or salted. the sauce was like a can of tomato sauce and that was it. there was no parmesan cheese even! there was no salt and pepper on the table, so we had to ask for that. as for the pizza, the crust was okay, but the meats were very salty and the bottom of the crust was wet. needless to say, we were all very disappointed and have no desire to visit again. arrivaderci, la piazza!

rush hour. service was not good at all. her timing was awful and she kept interrupting us every 5 minutes even through we told her we were talking and trying to catch up. it almost felt as if she was intentionally trying to be obnoxious through our whole dinner and also trying to rush us. we got there at 6pm. it wasn't packed. when i asked where the cannolis came from she said "i don’t know italy or something". then as we were finishing our drinks she was sweeping around us and putting all the chairs on the tables (this was at 8pm, they close at 8:30) and there were 4 other tables there, not just us. thepizzawas ok but service was poor.

the best. went there for the first time the other night, this place is truly wonderful. from the staff to the food. it's a mom and pop and it feels like one. i think everyone working there is family? the food was wonderful, i've never ever hadpizzathat good. we will surely be going back.

napolitano pizza. bestpizzathis side of naples, italy! my last trip to italy was fresh in my mind as soon as i took a bite of this pizza. incredible authentic style! we need 5 more of these restaurants around the valley! the only downfall was that the beer and wine were not cold enough, other than that, just incredible!

we had a great dinner! the mediterraneanpizzawas really good. they use a pesto cream sauce that makes the meal. the cheesecake is one of the best i have had.

best of 2008 is worst of 2012. i went with friends to la piazza al forno because of all the reviews indicating it was the best of the best. however, after having the worstpizzaand zeppolis ever, i noticed all the reviews that are good are from 2008. the prices were over the top for terrible food. if i judged italian food by what was served there i would never have italian food again. the zeppolis were pieces of deep fried bread rolls and thepizzawas a piece of thin tasteless cardboard with an ounce of cheese and oil on it. the restaurant environment is dirty, drab, and uninviting. perhaps there is a new owner since 2008. i would never recommend this place to anyone!

friendly service. not too overbearing but always made sure our needs were met. tried a breaded balsamic mozzarella appetizer that was on special. very good-we could taste how fresh all of the ingredients were. we ordered the italian stallionpizza& mediterranean pizza-absolutely delicious!
