if you enjoy brick oven pizza this is the best in valley.goodwine list and a decent choice of beers as well. soda comes in bottles so no free refill but they're massive so no worries!

really enjoyed it!. 6 of us ventured to la piazza al forno last night. lots of rules for a little hole in the wall, (no split cheques, will not seat you until all of your party has arrived......etc) but all in all a reallygoodfirst experience for the husband and myself (others had been before) we shared to dolce diavolo pizze. delish. full of flavor, quite spicy, the honey was a perfect addition. other couples also shared pizzas, everyone left happy. prices are resonable . will return for sure!

always busy but always good.. i've been to this restaurant enough times to call myself a fan. the food is delicious, the atmosphere is nice, the wait staff is accommodating and pleasant to be around, and it's located in one of the best shopping areas known to natives of glendale. my personal favorite out of everything on the menu is the italian stallion. if you like meat and you like pizza, this is certainly something you cannot pass up. a friend of mine is italian and swears by this pizza. as far as i've experienced, all of their pizzas are wonderful. some pasta dishes lack in the flavor you'd expect after having a pizza there, so it's best to just get the pizza. the salads are wonderful too, this is coming from a notorious salad hater. the only downside to this restaurant is that it is often busy. i suggest going around 2-3 in the afternoon, between the busy hours. essentially, if you love to eat pizza, especiallygoodpizza, you need to visit la piazza al forno.

this time excellent. i usually get the margherita d.o.c. every time i come here because i love the high quality certified house made cheese and the certified delicious san marzano tomatoes on that light but structured chewy pizza dough. my review won't be helpful but it will be truthful. i find the pizzas range from excellent to so-so from my visits. my two pictures i posted of the same pizza show you how they can vary and my previous review explains what i had last time. i can say this time my pizza was excellent with delicious flavor and verygoodtexture. when you get a well made pizza here you are getting the best pizza in glendale!

inconsistant. i've been here a bunch of times and i do think some of the pizzas i had here were the very best you can get anywhere. i love the highest end ingredients that they use. i also like the neapolitan style of the pizza being so light and doesn't sit heavy in your stomach. besides the tasty pizzas the popular dish is the spaghetti pie. but my last pizza here might not be typical of what you normally get as a margherita as it was very wet and soggy so it wasn't as enjoyable as others i had here before. i say give them a try and see what you think.

rush hour. service was notgoodat all. her timing was awful and she kept interrupting us every 5 minutes even through we told her we were talking and trying to catch up. it almost felt as if she was intentionally trying to be obnoxious through our whole dinner and also trying to rush us. we got there at 6pm. it wasn't packed. when i asked where the cannolis came from she said "i don’t know italy or something". then as we were finishing our drinks she was sweeping around us and putting all the chairs on the tables (this was at 8pm, they close at 8:30) and there were 4 other tables there, not just us. the pizza was ok but service was poor.

best of 2008 is worst of 2012. i went with friends to la piazza al forno because of all the reviews indicating it was the best of the best. however, after having the worst pizza and zeppolis ever, i noticed all the reviews that aregoodare from 2008. the prices were over the top for terrible food. if i judged italian food by what was served there i would never have italian food again. the zeppolis were pieces of deep fried bread rolls and the pizza was a piece of thin tasteless cardboard with an ounce of cheese and oil on it. the restaurant environment is dirty, drab, and uninviting. perhaps there is a new owner since 2008. i would never recommend this place to anyone!

nice, reasonably priced family-style italian restaurant. definitely will be back. like a nice little neighborhood place withgoodpizza and entrees. cappacinos and zeppolis were delish too. friendly and attentive service.

terrible service. the service at this restaurant is so poor that no matter howgoodthe food tasted, you'll leave with a bad taste in your mouth.

liked it. i liked it but didn't love it. the food wasgoodbut wasn't the best italian food around in my experience. i plan on trying it again but the first experience isn't making run back for more.

favorite place in the valley!. i absolutely love la piazza al forno. it is the best place to eat in the valley. you have to try the chicken pesto lasagna. it is out of this world! oh, and the italian stallion pizza....omg!! great food, fantastic people (justin, dennis, rachel, saundra, anita)....can't say enoughgoodabout this place! i will be there as much as possible!

not agoodexperience. we went to the restaurant last eve. (march 16, 2010) arrived about 6:00 and were seated fairly soon after.
my husband and i ordered the ravioli (same thing for both). it arrived rather timely with no bread which is supposed to be included. we asked for bread and the
waitress said she would get it for us. after several trips out from the kitchen --no bread. we asked again and got a basket of stale, small pieces of bread. we told her this was unacceptable and she said that they were making more bread. it never came--we finished our meal and asked to speak to the manager. rachel came over and knew of the problem and said that since they were unusually busy for a tues. night they ran out of bread!!!!!
why wasn't this told to us originally? i hate lying. just be truthful from the start and offter to compensate with another drink, etc. they better not rest on their laurels of the guy fieri ddd fame and shape up.

great!!!. we started out with the stuffed shrimp; it was amazing. next, we had the white pie, which came out of the kitchen moments after the shrimp. the timing was a bit off, but the taste of the pizza made up for it. overall,it was verygoodand no wait!!

love the food. this place does it all. i usually go for pizza, it's the best but last week i took a friend and she ordered the chicken pesto lasagna so i took a bite, then 2 and 3 etc..goodstuff! would have never ordered it on my own so i guess i will have to try some other stuff.
