8 out of 10!. this is the only pizza where i eat the entire crust and i never pick off any toppings. (you may not know me, but that's shocking to my friends.) the wine selection has a decent range and complements the menu, just as well as the nicely done italian-themed interior. share a glorious and simple margherita pizza, a chocolate cannoli, and a couple glasses of wine - for the same price as ordering unremarkable delivery. grazie, la piazza!

not a good experience. we went to the restaurant last eve. (march 16, 2010) arrived about 6:00 and were seated fairly soon after.
my husband and i ordered the ravioli (same thing for both). it arrived rather timely with no bread which is supposed to be included. we asked for bread and the
waitress said she would get it for us. after several trips out from the kitchen --no bread. we asked again and got a basket of stale, small pieces of bread. we told her this was unacceptable and she said that they were making more bread. it never came--we finished our meal and asked to speak to the manager. rachel came over and knew of the problem and said that since they were unusually busy for a tues. night they ran out of bread!!!!!
why wasn't this told to us originally? i hate lying. just be truthful from the start and offter to compensate with another drink, etc. they better not rest on their laurels of the guy fieri ddd fame and shape up.

great!!!. we started out with the stuffed shrimp; it was amazing. next, we had the white pie, which came out of the kitchen moments after the shrimp. the timing was a bit off, but the taste of the pizza made up for it. overall,it was very good and no wait!!

great pizza. we ordered two pizzas: the veggie pie and the white pie. you must get the white pie! it was delicious! the veggie pie was just ok. the pizza dough is amazing! we also ordered the bruschette and calamari appetizers. both were excellent, but especially the bruschette.

downtown glendale has authentic pizza joint. true - the wait is ridiculous if you arrive anytime after 5:15 pm. the family in this family owned and operated little italian eatery is much better off cooking the food than dealing with any kind of customer service. they need help in this area and perhaps should expand into larger, empty space next door while taking a weekend workshop in how to deal with a booming business. so, here's what you do: arrive early and get a table without the threat of the cook running out of pizza dough. order your pizza of choice. when your pizza arrives, inhale the perfect tangy red sauce, and indulge. the sauce and the crust make this possibly one of the best pizza joints in the southwest.

never again. my wife read good reviews so we tried this place tonight. we arrived at 6:00 p.m., and put our names on the list. they told us that there would be an hour wait. that hour wait was spent standing on the sidewalk since they don't have any significant waiting area. an hour later we checked on our status, and they told us that it would be another 20 minutes. 30 minutes later we checked out status again. now the story was that they didn't really know when we could get in. my wife said that we really needed to know when we would be seated. they suggested that we should leave if we couldn't wait an unknown amount of time. i had been totally quiet for the entire hour and a half, but decided it was time to inform them that their treatment of customers was total bs. we then went a block down the street and had a nice mexican dinner. you couldn't pay me enough money to ever try la piazza again.

good food, but getting too popular. its sad really. to often a restaurant will start up and build a clientele and they start to get very popular. soon this popularity creates an ego and this ego leads to poor business choices.

la piazza has great food. its small and cozy and the staff is family and very friendly. sadly, they have so much business that they don't mind offending and turning away customers.

i wanted to make a reservation for my birthday. the reservation was to be for 15 people. i called and was told that the do not take reservations for any size. they offer call ahead seating but the restaurant is so small that i doubt they could ever fit a party of 15 people without a set time. i did not want my friends and family waiting and waiting for half the restaurant to clear out before they would be seated.

i am glad that the are busy enough to turn away a $200+ group, but now i feel that if they do not want my business, that i will not go back even when it is just me.

d-lish!. so we decided to make the trip to glendale to try la piazza. when they say you should call ahead for parties of 6 or more, they aren't kidding. it is pretty small in there and it fills up quick. luckily, that just gave us an extra 15 minutes to look over the menu. so many decisions to make!

there were so many things we wanted to try; we decided to forgo the appetizer, and get two pizzas as our appetizer. we did the italian stallion and the veggie, both were delicious! then we all ordered an entree. the chicken pesto lasagna and the ravioli with tomato cream sauce were my favorite! i can't wait until we can go back and try all of the other things we wanted to get!
