went for the first time recently. the vibe is great,restaurantwas very full. service was quite slow so we kept having to look for the waiter, maybe they should get some more staff. nice place to indulge in good tapas. i would recommend some more options that aren't so deep fried

celebrated my birthday here .therestaurantis so nice very cosy also .i enjoyed my mussels but my boyfriend complained about how small his sirloin was ...the waiter was super friendly and efficient

although the service could do with some improvement it is a beautifulrestaurantwith delicious food! the portion sizes tend to differ every time i go back to therestaurantand order for example the sesame seared tuna so they need to work on consistency... cocktails are delicious however!

arrived at la parada after a relaxing sunday drive through woodlands in constantia. therestaurantwas vibrant and exciting with life. there was a distinct scent of jubilation in the air. the band was playing popular music with an afro twist to it. we were seated next to the stage, which was quite a busy area. i ordered tapas to eat this was the; salt and pepper fried calamari, prawn croquetas and the honey and thime roasted butternut.

the salt and pepper calamari, was fresh, it had a nice lemon zest and tender crumb to it. the prawn croquetas were cooked well through, the tomato aioli is not strong. makes it a comfortable dish to enjoy. the butternut was sweet and soft, it was a great compliment to the main tapas.

lovely vibe but the ham croquette tapas were filled with huge bits of fat. very unpleasant.
the green veg tapa plate and the salt and pepper calamari are great. time to source a new ham dealer la parada. and to end off the service was horrible. on public holidays i expect more staff for a popularrestaurantbut alas there were very few around.

always such a bustling vibe here!restaurantis always busy, and staff are always efficient...today we had the pork belly, homemade grilled chorizo with patata bravas (potatoes), squid and mojitos(i had non alcoholic). the food was delicious, the drinks were yum and the atmosphere was upbeat. nothing to complain about at all!

i'm going to give this place a 4 even though we hardly ate; it is a tapas joint after all. it is sitting in the most beautiful spot i've seen in a while! i was always a little reluctant to come because it came across "larney" but it's completely the opposite! such a lovelyrestaurantwith a really beautiful sitting area outside!

situated in constantia nek la parada has such a beautiful setting and fun atmosphere. upon arrival therestaurantwas busy and very full, the staff took my details and put us on the waiting list for a table. one of the downsides is that you can't book in advance, they only allow you to book for tables of 15 people or more. we waited for about 15-20min before we were seated. i had the grilled calamari and a side salad which was very delicious and my friends had the pork belly, the fried calamari- pork belly was a hit but the fried calamari was apparently not that great. the service was also a tad bit slow but overall it was a pleasant and fun experience, will definitely be back!

so first off, thisrestaurantis in such a beautiful setting and i really did love the drive on the way to it. beautiful scenery and i loved the decor and the vibe. we went for breakfast and we were so excited to try the place. unfortunately we were very disappointed with the particularly slow service, taking roughly 15-20 minutes for our drink orders to get to the table. the menu system they use for breakfast really needs to be better executed, only one menu was used for the entirerestaurantand this caused a lot of frustration with both the customers and waiters who were in a flat spin. once we had placed our food order, that took another 20 minutes to get to the table. i was met with totally bland. i would like to try it again for dinner and drinks!

very annoyed that therestaurantwon't let me make a booking for 5 people.  has to be 15 or more.  this time of year you have to book anywhere you go so we are asked to not book, just pitch up and wait 45 min or more for a table.

thisrestauranthas recently become one of my favourites. the food is magnificent- tastes wonderful and is aesthetically pleasing- the view is out of the world and the service is fantastic!

two things. one, constantia nekrestaurantlooks awesome now. two, probably the best service i had all year. tapas were great as well as the ambiance. a must visit if you're in the area as a post-wine tasting dive.

looks set to become a firm favorite amongst the locals and constantia wine route visitors alike. la parada serves up nicely plated tapas and good wine (or craft beer or cocktails). the food is good overall (but the pork belly we had was dry and uninspired). we had four tapas between the two of us and left feeling satisfied. service was adequate but because it's actually a really largerestauranttheir kitchen was running behind and the waiting time for food was around 40 minutes. but you won't care when you're sitting outside soaking up the sun and views from constantia nek. a solid new offering on the route to hout bay and the perfect stopover after tasting some wine at any of the nearby farms.
