went for the first time recently. the vibe is great, restaurant was very full. service was quite slow so we kept having to look for the waiter, maybe they should get some more staff. nice place to indulge in good tapas. i would recommend some more options that aren't so deep fried

the service was unbearably slow. we had to keep calling for a waiter and asking about our orders, which finally arrived at different times for each person.

excellent tapas beautifully presented and reasonably priced given the quality. our waiter peter was courteous and attentive to our group of five. we ordered most of the tapas options, all of which were very tasty. table favourite was probably the duck croquettes followed by the beef short rib and grilled calamari. such a lovely way to enjoy good food. we’ll be back!

celebrated my birthday here .the restaurant is so nice very cosy also .i enjoyed my mussels but my boyfriend complained about how small his sirloin was ...the waiter was super friendly and efficient

unfortunately this place has gone down since we first started coming here. last night the ladies toilets were in an absolute state, the service was poor and it‘s over priced. so unfortunate because it is a great venue with huge potential. keep your eye on the ball or it will surely go to the dogs.

we decided to go for dinner at la parada on a friday night with 3 kids as we were staying in hout bay just a couple of minutes from the restaurant. unfortunately there was no indication that it is quite lively on a friday night. the hostess greeted me by asking if we mind being seated at a high table and i had no problem with it. after being seated we realised that the table next to us was quite loud. we explained to our 12, 10 and 9 year old that by friday adults like letting their hair down a bit and can get a bit loud. unfortunately it got even louder and we asked our lovely waiter if we can move. he couldn’t get a table in the quieter area and asked if we would be ok moving to the back and we were happy to do so. still that particular table was loud and we eventually decided to talk to the hostess about the noise. she said she would talk to the table but she didn’t. my partner then went to speak to her as well and she said she would talk to the manager. waited and she eventually came and asked us to move again and we said we are not willing to do it again after which she finally got the manager. the manager was a class act. he also asked us to move and said that they would laugh at him if he addressed the issue. we explained that we had already moved but no one has had a word with the table to ask them if they can just tone it down a bit. the manager went over to the table and it was clear that he was not addressing the issue. he was actually having a laugh with them. they were loudly making comments directed at us, including comments about the children.

i think we should have turned around when we were trying to park the car and saw a car rev away loudly with the music blaring.

why the hostess decided to put us in the section she did is beyond me. we don’t mind lively but a good hostess would know where to place a family with children.

our waiter was such a nice guy. food was good too. pity about management. was a manageable situation.

first time here and food and service were amazing! will definitely be hack for some great tapas. need more of these kind of tapas restaurants in the northern suburbs

been there twice already within a week's time! great vibe with spanish music playing in the background. the tapas were delicious. i tend to have a preference for the outside seating for its amazing views. would definitely visit again!

went to la parada to watch the fifa final after a fun afternoon out wine tasting! they have an amazing tapas special where you can order 4 for r200! so worth it becomes there food is amazing! for dessert we had these yummy curros!

we came here on a sunday evening. the setting is great and the music ramped up over the course of the evening. we had a mussel dish that was quite delicious.

as the sun set the music turned up and it because a dance party that all enjoyed. i'll definitely be back!

really had an amazing time! the food was great, thoroughly enjoyed the calamari, steak and prawn tapas! i can’t wait to come back. the vibe and atmosphere was incredible.

a really nice place- like an old english pub with an edge. tapas food and a casual vibe. we shared a few plates of tapas- the prawns stood out for me. the others liked the pork belly. presentation was gorgeous

really enjoyed my breakfast, had the full breakfast and its really worth your money. the best part of this place is that its a dog friendly rest.

negative: they moved tables to accommodate a reservation and they put a table behind my back. i literally could move much back and the person behind me, i could hear all her conversations. i think its really unprofessional if the staff don’t ask you if they can put the table so close to you. its like they were in a rush to get rid of my friends and i to get more chairs.

amazing food and quality service. however the portion sizes are extremely small for the amount paid.

we tried the pork belly and the prawns and yes it was good, but the amount served was not worth the price at all...if you advertise it as tapas for sharing then please include enough to share!!

the service was pretty average as well, my sisters were immediately asked for their id even though they hadn’t even ordered any alcohol and it is a restaurant...they were quite offended from the word go.

however, the vibe is there and it is quite a nice spot to have cocktails with the girls on a saturday/friday afternoon.

although the service could do with some improvement it is a beautiful restaurant with delicious food! the portion sizes tend to differ every time i go back to the restaurant and order for example the sesame seared tuna so they need to work on consistency... cocktails are delicious however!
