good service, good food, good vibe. would expect nothing less from the harbour house group. definitely draws an older crowd, but i think everyone from the 'burbs' will be happy to have a viby go-to place closer to home. their wine list could do with some work; not a single light-medium bodied red on the list only the heavy stuff, but happy to have a new suburbia hangout.

we went to la parada for drinks and a snack. the setting is great, but the wine list is standard and very disappointing. it doesn't match up to the restaurant's location or reputation

la parada:
la parada is possible one of if not my favourite tapas bar in the city. i'm obsessed with their deep-fried ham and cheese balls, their grilled peppers with anchovies on toast and of course their bacon wrapped prawns are always a hit!

they also make a pretty mean cocktail, i had the lemongrass daiquiri.

this used to be the go to spot before so many other places opened on bree and loop and i kind of miss the buzz of the place. they have never been known for their food but more the vibe for after work drinks or weekend festivities. the service can vary from really good to really shocking and the food is really nothing to write home about.
