nice surprise. i've been meaning to try lahaciendaranch for some time and finally was able to today. was presently surprised by the service, food and price. some of the best lunch fajitas i've had. will definitely make this a frequent stop.

fun consistent food. lahaciendaranch is not the best tex mex food you will find, but it is always consistanty good. the atmosphere is very texas and always fun. this is always the first place we take visitors to. the salsa is as good as it gets and the queso is very good as well. the tortillas are made fresh. the fajitas are excellent but the rest of the menu is very average. once again, it is a fun and unique experience that always delivers consistent food and service. oh by the way, the margaritas are very good but very overpriced.

lahaciendagoes back almost to the days when there was little in frisco - one of the only restaurants on preston rd. it also is recognized as creating the frozen marguerita.
its styled as a ranch house with lots of wood and a stone fireplace. it has a lot of large rooms inside. despite the parking lot being busy there seemed to be few diners inside. its been open long enough to have a smooth, comfortable feel to it.
i got seated quickly and the waitress quickly brought me ice tea and took my order. she checked with me frequently throughout the meal.
i've been here before and ever time i have the feeling that the menu is a little overpriced. i had the sense that i should take points off the rating for this, but later changed my mind.
the  chips were a touch dry. you can notice that if you shake salt on and the salt just bounces off. the salsa was more green than red with chunks of peppers and a lot of watery juice. i expected to dislike this and instead found it excellent. i found a strong taste of fresh peppers (without being to hot). if my meal hadn't arrived quickly i would have asked for more. the only downside was the watery consistency made a mess. (or maybe i was just clumsy today.)
the beef enchiladas came covered in chili and jalapenos with rice and beans. the rice had corn and vegetables mixed in and was strikingly good. the beans had good texture. i usually dislike refried beans but these were very good.
the enchiladas & chili were some of the best i have eaten. lots of well-seasoned beef made up good-sized enchiladas.
overall the quality of the food more than made up for a slightly higher price.
this easily matches most of the tex-mex establishments around, and i wish this one were closer.

fun atmosphere & great food. lahaciendais a large restaurant with a mexican vaquero theme. there are heavy logs with barn red paint everywhere. large game heads adorn the walls. in the main seating area guns, horseshoes and miner lanterns are the decor. the host wears a white shirt and vaquero hat. the table cloth is a faux cow hide. it creates a fun atmosphere.

the place is huge and can handle large crowds. i have seen long waits here, but generally, you can get seated in a reasonable amount of time. the servers are pleasant. the food is really good. the chicken quesadilla was outstanding. the beef enchilada was just as good. the grilled veggies had a light char just how we like it.

this is a great place. come enjoy the atmosphere and food.

the best fajitas you'll ever have. today i was gathered by my family for lunch at one of our favorite restaurants, lahaciendaranch in frisco (4110 preston road, 1 mile north of 121). not only does this tex mex restaurant have a great family fun atmosphere and decked out ranch themed decor (and i mean decked out), but they have incredibly flavorful food. they specialize in mesquite grilling and you can definitely taste the expertise!

in fact (and i kid you not), lahaciendaranch in frisco might just serve up the best fajitas you'll ever have. it's quite a claim to make, especially in texas where tex mex is done well across the land. so what makes these fajitas so notable? read on my dear frisconian, read on.

first of all, let me point out that their fajita feast that claims to serve four actually serves up to six with food to spare. for all you bargain shoppers and coupon cutters out there, this is something i know you will appreciate! the fajita feast includes steak, chicken and shrimp topped with onions served family style (meaning it's all on one sizzling pan in the middle of the table) with rice, beans, your choice of guacamole, sour cream, pico, cheese, flour or corn tortillas.

is your mouth watering yet? keep reading, there's more! the steak, chicken and shrimp are cooked over an aromatic blend of mesquite and pecan wood logs, which basically means it's some of the juiciest, most flavorful meat you'll ever eat! i could order a platter of meat and be perfectly content. top your meat of choice off with some cheese, sour cream, guacamole, some of their signature salsa, snuggle it all in a freshly made flour tortilla, and your taste buds will actually jump for joy!

now, it's also important to give a nod to their one of a kind salsa. i'm fairly confident that this salsa would be good on just about anything. it has so much flavor going on! spicy, but not too spicy. smoky, but not too smoky. served warm. yum.

last but not least, the service is genuinely fantastic. everyone we encountered, starting with the hostess an ending with our server, had a very genuine and friendly quality about them. you want to feel comfortable in any dining experience and these guys really have that down.

if you haven't already tried lahaciendaranch (specifically the fajitas) then you are truly missing out. go ahead and call ahead to get your name on the list for the next available table: 972-335-2232

bad food. i tried lahaciendaonly once. i ordered steak fajitas, and approx. 1/3 of the meal was fat, grizzle, and inedible. service was good, but i'll never go back.

below average food at above average prices. i've been to this restaurant about 4 times now. it's pretty hit or miss as far as i can tell. i got fajitas once and they were dry and a very small lunch portion. this time i got the chicken enchiladas and the sauce was good but the chicken inside was super dry. the beans and rice are very bland too. my wife, however, got another chicken dish that was well cooked and delicious. good or not good, this place is way overpriced.

if you want to roll the dice, good luck at lahaciendaranch. if you want some decent tex mex go to tupy's or drive a little farther and try uncle julios.

overpriced for what you get. although this place is practically my office's annex (most lunch meetings end up at la ha), i really don't like lahaciendaranch. i've grown up on tex-mex and have to say that i still can't find anything that i really like, even after eating here for the past year. even if i were to find something that i enjoyed, the vast majority of the menu is way overpriced.
