la hacienda ranch

this restaurant has been one of our favorite places since coming to texas in 2005. in the last year we have not gone since we have cut back our eating out and alternate deciding on a place with another couple we dine with on most fridays. this friday is our pick and we have already chosen la hacienda...ready for those brisket tacos...yum.

stopped in on a recommendation and it did not disappoint. friendly service, and the salsa was great. had the spicy chicken verde - incredible. highly recommend if you're looking for locally owned tex-mex in plano.

nice surprise. i've been meaning to try la hacienda ranch for some time and finally was able to today. was presently surprised by the service, food and price. some of the best lunch fajitas i've had. will definitely make this a frequent stop.

best fajitas anywhere !!. great fajitas, guaranteed to be the best anywhere plus everything else is great too.

the great margaritas wash everything else down too !!!

the best fajitas in the world. great fajitas , great margaritas ! what else could you want....

fun consistent food. la hacienda ranch is not the best tex mex food you will find, but it is always consistanty good. the atmosphere is very texas and always fun. this is always the first place we take visitors to. the salsa is as good as it gets and the queso is very good as well. the tortillas are made fresh. the fajitas are excellent but the rest of the menu is very average. once again, it is a fun and unique experience that always delivers consistent food and service. oh by the way, the margaritas are very good but very overpriced.

good meeting spot as long as you stick with a perimeter booth or patio. use the one by dfw monthly. frisco location is for when the wife finishes early and you hit the overlap between lunch menu and happy hour. i've come to a standard order of tortillia soup with a beef taco. wife the fajita's... close, quick, simple tex-mex.

fantastic!. my favorite mexican restaurant. period. the queso mariano is outstanding! i can never decide what to eat for an entree though because there are so many delectable choices!

wow even better than the lewisville location. kayla our super attentive friendly server made it our favor ite frisco mexican cuisine!
we tried an app. were able to get jalepeno ranch instead of salsa.!!!
cups were fresh service was great.
i can only complain about the number of onion in the rice, which i prefer none!

super strong margarita quick service and sewing even when the parking lot was full!

ate on a tuesday afternoon ~3 pm. not crowded at all. fast service, tasty food. reasonably priced. split a hacienda ranch chicken. also a frozen margarita. very good. be careful going there in the evening as it gets very crowded.

i am in love with tex mex cuisine now...!!

we tried this restaurant based on the zomato ratings. it was the best meal we have had in a while. the food was so much that none of the family could finish them. the drinks we the perfect strength. the spicy chicken verde was amazing, steak fajitas were amazing and the fish tacos were amazing!

la hacienda goes back almost to the days when there was little in frisco - one of the only restaurants on preston rd. it also is recognized as creating the frozen marguerita. 
its styled as a ranch house with lots of wood and a stone fireplace. it has a lot of large rooms inside. despite the parking lot being busy there seemed to be few diners inside. its been open long enough to have a smooth, comfortable feel to it.
i got seated quickly and the waitress quickly brought me ice tea and took my order. she checked with me frequently throughout the meal.
i've been here before and ever time i have the feeling that the menu is a little overpriced. i had the sense that i should take points off the rating for this, but later changed my mind.
the  chips were a touch dry. you can notice that if you shake salt on and the salt just bounces off. the salsa was more green than red with chunks of peppers and a lot of watery juice. i expected to dislike this and instead found it excellent. i found a strong taste of fresh peppers (without being to hot). if my meal hadn't arrived quickly i would have asked for more. the only downside was the watery consistency made a mess. (or maybe i was just clumsy today.)
the beef enchiladas came covered in chili and jalapenos with rice and beans. the rice had corn and vegetables mixed in and was strikingly good. the beans had good texture. i usually dislike refried beans but these were very good.
the enchiladas & chili were some of the best i have eaten. lots of well-seasoned beef made up good-sized enchiladas.
overall the quality of the food more than made up for a slightly higher price.
this easily matches most of the tex-mex establishments around, and i wish this one were closer.

this is our family's favorite place to eat in the dallas metroplex. from their tips and salsa to the steak fajitas they have really perfected all items they serve. the steak fajitas are amazing and the chicken fajitas are a very close second. my wife also loves the queso which is really good.

this place has amazing food and some of the best creamed corn i have ever had, try this place, it is outstanding. this place has also great mashed potatoes.

i have been coming here since it opened in the '80's.
preston was barely a two lane road.....i even think it was dirt when you passed laha.
i love the place. true tex mex ...with a menu that never changes to out do the latest trendy place that sprouts up.
the original margarita is to die for! thank you senor martinez.
i think the only people that don't like la ha are yankees!
