good meeting spot as long as you stick with a perimeter booth or patio. use the one by dfw monthly.friscolocation is for when the wife finishes early and you hit the overlap between lunch menu and happy hour. i've come to a standard order of tortillia soup with a beef taco. wife the fajita's... close, quick, simple tex-mex.

wow even better than the lewisville location. kayla our super attentive friendly server made it our favor itefriscomexican cuisine!
we tried an app. were able to get jalepeno ranch instead of salsa.!!!
cups were fresh service was great.
i can only complain about the number of onion in the rice, which i prefer none!

super strong margarita quick service and sewing even when the parking lot was full!

looking forward to going back.

la hacienda goes back almost to the days when there was little infrisco- one of the only restaurants on preston rd. it also is recognized as creating the frozen marguerita.
its styled as a ranch house with lots of wood and a stone fireplace. it has a lot of large rooms inside. despite the parking lot being busy there seemed to be few diners inside. its been open long enough to have a smooth, comfortable feel to it.
i got seated quickly and the waitress quickly brought me ice tea and took my order. she checked with me frequently throughout the meal.
i've been here before and ever time i have the feeling that the menu is a little overpriced. i had the sense that i should take points off the rating for this, but later changed my mind.
the  chips were a touch dry. you can notice that if you shake salt on and the salt just bounces off. the salsa was more green than red with chunks of peppers and a lot of watery juice. i expected to dislike this and instead found it excellent. i found a strong taste of fresh peppers (without being to hot). if my meal hadn't arrived quickly i would have asked for more. the only downside was the watery consistency made a mess. (or maybe i was just clumsy today.)
the beef enchiladas came covered in chili and jalapenos with rice and beans. the rice had corn and vegetables mixed in and was strikingly good. the beans had good texture. i usually dislike refried beans but these were very good.
the enchiladas & chili were some of the best i have eaten. lots of well-seasoned beef made up good-sized enchiladas.
overall the quality of the food more than made up for a slightly higher price.
this easily matches most of the tex-mex establishments around, and i wish this one were closer.

the best fajitas you'll ever have. today i was gathered by my family for lunch at one of our favorite restaurants, la hacienda ranch infrisco(4110 preston road, 1 mile north of 121). not only does this tex mex restaurant have a great family fun atmosphere and decked out ranch themed decor (and i mean decked out), but they have incredibly flavorful food. they specialize in mesquite grilling and you can definitely taste the expertise!

in fact (and i kid you not), la hacienda ranch infriscomight just serve up the best fajitas you'll ever have. it's quite a claim to make, especially in texas where tex mex is done well across the land. so what makes these fajitas so notable? read on my dear frisconian, read on.

first of all, let me point out that their fajita feast that claims to serve four actually serves up to six with food to spare. for all you bargain shoppers and coupon cutters out there, this is something i know you will appreciate! the fajita feast includes steak, chicken and shrimp topped with onions served family style (meaning it's all on one sizzling pan in the middle of the table) with rice, beans, your choice of guacamole, sour cream, pico, cheese, flour or corn tortillas.

is your mouth watering yet? keep reading, there's more! the steak, chicken and shrimp are cooked over an aromatic blend of mesquite and pecan wood logs, which basically means it's some of the juiciest, most flavorful meat you'll ever eat! i could order a platter of meat and be perfectly content. top your meat of choice off with some cheese, sour cream, guacamole, some of their signature salsa, snuggle it all in a freshly made flour tortilla, and your taste buds will actually jump for joy!

now, it's also important to give a nod to their one of a kind salsa. i'm fairly confident that this salsa would be good on just about anything. it has so much flavor going on! spicy, but not too spicy. smoky, but not too smoky. served warm. yum.

last but not least, the service is genuinely fantastic. everyone we encountered, starting with the hostess an ending with our server, had a very genuine and friendly quality about them. you want to feel comfortable in any dining experience and these guys really have that down.

if you haven't already tried la hacienda ranch (specifically the fajitas) then you are truly missing out. go ahead and call ahead to get your name on the list for the next available table: 972-335-2232

preston trails sets the standard, friscodrops the ball -- again. we visited thefriscolocation last night. i have been disappointed in the food preparation and the service at this location on other occasions, but thought we might have just dropped in on a bad night.
our waiter had trouble getting the order right, another waitress bumped into the serving tray as our waiter was preparing the table-side guacomole, and the kitchen seemed to work at a snail's pace. then there was an issue with the laha gold card, getting the correct number of punches. very disappointing all around.
the location further south on preston rd in plano is far superior. we have dined there on several occasions with none of the problems we continue to have at thefriscolocation.
preston trails - yummy
frisco - sadly inferior

best fajitas thus far. i have been to this restaurant numerous times within the past several years and dined at the colleyville/grapevine, carrollton/lewisville andfriscolocations.

each location can get really busy during the evening after 6pm but you are tyoically sat in an hour or less. the hostesses are hit or miss but most of the time the serving staff is solid, dependable and friendly. seating tends to be cramped in the rooms featuring long tables side by side. try for a booth or one of the many side rooms-not the front room.

the salsa is housemade, fresh and smokey--flavorful with little heat. the loaded queso is great when first served but does not re-heat well. the chips and tortillas are also really good.

the beef fajitas the best i have had thus far. they cut the steak correctly so that it falls apart when you eat it and it is always tender. they come with refried beans, rice, guac, sour cream, cheese and pico. you can of course augment your order and they tend to get it right. the price is comparable to most places and is of much better quality overall.

the tex-mex is above average. when ordered one shouldn't expect a completely traditional tex-mex flavor or feel because it tends to lean towards more veggies and less cheese. the pricing is a little high as compared to other places but equitable enough in terms of quality.

the steaks are also great but i recommend skipping on the skillet potatoes--they tend to come out too dry or under-cooked. go for the traditonal baked potato. the steak prices are similar to what you would find at salt grass and are good cuts for what you are paying.

avoid going with someone who will complain about the country music or decor because they definitely have a theme which can read a little hokey but in light of the food, one can deal.

i really like this place and take anyone who visits, as well as dine with friends.
