this place has awesomefoodand if u want to get away from tourist trapfoodplaces give this place a try.... i was skeptical and my wife made me come and i loved it!

the bestfoodin town. if you love italian food, you will love la famiglia.

believe me, you will feel like you're in italy!

very authentic. while two trips to italy hardly makes an an expert in italianfoodi will have to say this is the closest we've come to finding anything like thefoodin italy. apparently everyone in the restaurant is from italy and it shows. if you want real italianfoodlike the italians have you won't be disappointed.

terrible dining experience. the starter salad was insultingly small. there were five of us dining and each of us were equally disappointed with our entrees. the lasagna was very similar to a can of chef boyardee ravioli. the chicken fettuccini was incredibly bland and the chicken tasted as though it was thawed from a bag and never seasoned. the margherita pizza had little to no sauce on it and was also incredibly bland. the veal was a special menu item. the sauce that the veal was served in was mostly red pepper and olive oil. it was painful to eat and impossible to finish. and the only dish at the table that was fair was te lamb which was also a special. the salad it was served over was very fresh and the lamb was not anything to brag about but was definitely not as bad as all of the other dishes. overall, this was a serious disappointment to our entire family and i personally do not understand how this place could ever get a good review from anyone if this is the normal state of thefoodserved.

harborwalk location not as good. really loved la famiglia when we first tried it. when i saw that they opened at harborwalk, we wanted to give that location a try. thefoodjust didn't seem to measure up to what we got at the original location. it was just ok.

authentic italian restaurant. forgot we were in destin. chicken parm and lasagna were yummy! one of my new favorite restaurants. small - so i'd recommend reservations.

always looking for good place to eat when we vacation in destin, and this place was great!!! coming from louisiana, we're picky about good food. this was the best italianfoodi have ever had!

unbelievable, authentic and inexpensive for the quality of food, great service, friendly atmosphere. all restaurants should be this passionate about thefoodthey serve. you can tell it is this family's passion! eat there!

dinner. we were the very first customers when this place opened and enjoyed taking visiting family & friends there regularly; the service and thefoodwere consistently good, but that was before they got popular. we continued to patronize them until about a year ago when the servers barely acknowledged us, the same ones we'd known since the beginning. then, thefoodstarted to suffer. we returned again only when out-of-town family came to visit & remembered how good thefoodwas. it's one thing for one person to have a disappointing experience, but our whole table confirmed that items we had truly enjoyed in the past were nowhere near the quality or flavor we had before. our favorite, osso buco was a very small portion, mostly bone and very little meat and was swimming in fat. the very small lamb chops special was way overcooked, dried out and the chops were tiny altho' the plate looked large by a whoping heap of salad greens; the special fish we ordered was tasteless. that would make this the last time we visit there, especially since the prices are way out of line; after all, this is not new york where the price is worth the meal.

the bread was good. my friends in destin had recommended this spot..but not really sure why.
the service was outstanding...but thefoodquality does not compare with food
in the old country....my friend ordered a veal dish that was tough and had been
pre-cooked ...so glad i did not get it as the mushroom sauce was not tasty. i had
the lobster ravioli......the vodka sauce was terrible...$30.00 for a small
non-descript salad, one glass of wine and a dish i would never order again.
the bread was warm and the olive oil was well seasoned.
wish we had gone to the olive garden..unlimited salad and bread sticks and
consistent quality.

amazing restaurant! everything the service to thefoodwas wonderful! ordered about six different meals and each one was better than the other. definitely recommend la famiglia.

the service was perfect and thefoodwas excellent. the lunch menu is pretty large and it would be difficult not to find something you would like. the atmosphere is very warm yet casual.

went at dinner time expecting it to be busy and there was no one there. customer service was good and thefoodcame out fast. (10-15 minutes we received our food) i had ordered a cheese pizza and fries. the pizza was medium crust and great for the price. $12.99 and we got what we paid for.

i would come back for the pizza.

i heard the location at the commons was better than the harbor, so we pickedfoodover view. bad decision. it started off with the music being so loud that we couldn't hear the waitress or our table conversation. it was finally turned down near the end of our meal. the bread was very ordinary. thefoodwas very ordinary. not much flavor to the sauce, the veal was tough. we won't be back.

a group of 5 of us ate dinner there on a none busy night and we found thefoodto be below average and the service horrible. we were sat at a table which was used by another family with used dishes and oil. there were two employees arguing in front of us at one point. no refills, stale bread, and poor service made the blandfoodworse.

la famiglia makes terrific red sauce dishes that aren't overcooked or sweet.  their lasagna is pretty simple stuff, but full of rich fulfilling comfortfoodflavor.
