natukozhi pepper chicken had only bones and no flesh in that. really disappointed 😑

fish was not fresh . disappointed by fish. others two wow.

ordered for non veg meals and got veg meals with just beetroot poriyal, avial,sambar,rasam,rice and buttermilk totally disappointed

biryani quantity is very low , and taste is average only.

perfect place to taste different types of food.we tried chicken dhosa here.delicious food in affordable price.crispy chicken , masla dhosa, lime juice all are good.if you ever go to madurai visit this place for nonveg dhosas and many more items.

verdict : evey god damn dish was (for the lack of a better word) phenomenal. cosy ambience, extremely hospitable staff, stupendous food with decent portions and acceptable pricing.
this place is an absolute must visit.

the best mutton biryani ever! this place is supremely famous in madurai. we happen to be in this cultural potboiler city and happen to visit this place for our sunday lunch.
the crowd and loyal clientele was a giveaway that the place is extremely loved by the madurains.
after a wait for about 15 mins we were called towards our seating. we had to share our table with 2 more groups. it’s more like a community eating experience.
we ordered their famous mutton biryani. they use seeraga samba rice and the pieces of mutton were extremely succulent and juicy. the flavour, the taste absolutely worth the wait. we ordered 3 plates of mutton biryani.

the chicken pepper roast was equally lip smacking, the pungent taste of pepper with the country chicken was so well balanced.

one of the best restaurants in madurai...if you wanna try a good non veg meal, this is the place to visit......ayirai meen gravy is the must try dish here...we tried chicken briyani , paratha , crab omlet , fish fry , non veg meals and ayirai meen gravy.... everything tasted good and was in good quantity....only neg about the place is the crowd and the waiting time.....

very good on tastes and also very colourful foods. but the price seems to be little high . one of the oldest hotels to not to missed in madurai.

the spice hits you hard with the first bite of the highly recommended mutton dosa.. but it tingled my taste buds beyond. enjoyed an assumingly authentic madurai selection at this small quaint but friendly mess. as usual on a work trip with an evening by myself. ranked as best restaurant in madurai i walked in to the waiting area. the family a regular here recommended almost everything on the menu!! shared a table with another couple and baby comfortably digging on the banana leaf spread. the young mom recommended mutton dosa i went by it. yes the dosa was like a small uttampam topped with mutton with lots of curry leaves and even more of pepper. the first bite i coughed out with spice and was amused how the liitle girl not more than 2 years old was so happy with her biryani. and her mum said in madurai they start pepper way as early as 6 months for kids in soups. wow real hot moms.
the dosa was perfect crisp and just perfectly loaded with small chunks of soft meat. comes along with complementary gravy. and thankfully being on single dinners most of the time it helps to have smaller portion so hhavve space for the next. and that was eggparitha.. wow what came up on my plate was crushed crispy parotha with scrambled and of course spicy egg mix.
would recommend if you in madurai and looking out for something with the city taste.. of food and people.. a must go. price is fair and food is fab.
