kumar mess.
i went with my father. as everyone says kumarmessserves the best in town, it was not turned to my expectations. the atmosphere was good with many customers coming frequently.
menu : -
i ordered mutton biriyani,  cola urundai and nei meen fish fry.
1. mutton biriyani :
the biriyani was average because the flavours didn't go well with the mutton.
2. cola urundai :
it was perfect in taste. as on the texture, we can feel the crispy crust followed by a chewy layer of meat with a hint of spices . a must try one.
3. nei meen fish fry :
yet another must try one. perfectly cooked. we can feel the aroma of the flavors in every bite we take.
ambience :
the place was covered in soft lighting. there is also a picture of kal azhgar ( south indian god ). one can feel the flavors of all the pungent spices.
service :
the service was also good.

the taste of egg parotta and gravy is not up to the quality of kumar mess. worst food. the packing of egg parotta also not good. don’t know why kumarmesshas lowered their standards for home delivery. we have been a regular customer for kumarmessfor 20 years! worst experience this time

parota ku kulambu was very watery. always in kumarmesskulambu will be excellent.today it was very watery and lacked the taste it had

konarmessoffers kari dosai and other types of food items in its menu that are endemic to the madurai belt and exclusive to the restaurant. you won't say enough to just one kari dosai. man, it's definitely something that makes madurai madurai. a must try folks!

i'm gonna paste this review in the reviews of other restaurants too. so well prepared. just like you'd eat in any chettinadu feast. never miss eating in one of the three restaurants of you're in madurai. i've been blessed in having frequent dining in these eat outs like , from eternity. never miss out the vanjiram fish, the gola urundai, the muttai curry, brain, suvarotti and chicken. sometimes, they will have kaadai too. i'm disappointed they don't have pigeon or rabbit in their menu. must try everyone!

bit hyped restaurant. portion size is very less for the given price. had non veg meals for lunch. meen kulambu tasted good. compared to patukottai kamatchimessthe taste is not up to the mark.

kumarmess...if you are new to madurai and want to have authentic madurai food ....i recommended u to go here .....biriyani and mutton chukka are heavenly...although the kari dosa is not all that good here compared to the konar kadai kari dosa ...otherwise every is good here 💯❤️

the hotel kumarmessfood was very tasty and delicious.and the chefs special food was very nice .so getting food from the zomato app was nowadays trending .so thank you to hotel kumarmessand zomato app too!

food was tasty worth yo spend here , one of the casual dining ,qsr concept restaurant, ambience is ok . parking is very small .
when you talk about food portion size it is very huge difference compare to price , they should increase the portion size .
ex : serving home dosa , serve 2pcs
chicken curry dosa very small , should be little big.
rest all fine...

lip-smacking kari dosa and kolas are my evergreen favorites. closer to my abode.. i enjoy kumarmesskari dosa almost twice a week...i am drooling just at the thought of it🤤

kumarmessis good...but in kk nagar branch i had a horrible experience of biriyanni..very spicy...flavor is not good hate it...,please don't order biriyanni..

kumarmessis my all time favorite... that too enjoyed it in its home place... pics are halfway because can't wait until take pics... we just had it fully mutton briyani, parotta, nei meen fry, prawn pepper fry, chicken 65, egg kalaki or vazhisal is extraordinary... must try guys... their service is very quick and recently been there in lunch time... no added preservatives... tasty home food i would say...

kumarmessit is one of the best restaurant in madurai for a non vegetarian treat. my dad used to tell me that food will be very good here so we wanted to try here.

all of us ordered mutton kari dosa as that was one of the special dish there and they served mutton elumbu gravy which was really good. kari dosa was spicy and tasty too but the size was very small compared to the cost.

we ordered idli, parotta, chicken 65, chettinad chicken also. idli was good and soft like homemade.

parotta was well layered and soft..went very well with chettinad chicken.

every dishes tasted good but i feel it's expensive and quantity is little less. chicken 65 they gave very small 6 pieces for 140 rs..
