the quality of the plastic bag is very poor. we replaced thefoodfallen down on the road.
but we had very hungry until the receipt of the replacement.

konar mess offers kari dosai and other types offooditems in its menu that are endemic to the madurai belt and exclusive to the restaurant. you won't say enough to just one kari dosai. man, it's definitely something that makes madurai madurai. a must try folks!

i'm gonna paste this review in the reviews of other restaurants too. so well prepared. just like you'd eat in any chettinadu feast. never miss eating in one of the three restaurants of you're in madurai. i've been blessed in having frequent dining in these eat outs like , from eternity. never miss out the vanjiram fish, the gola urundai, the muttai curry, brain, suvarotti and chicken. sometimes, they will have kaadai too. i'm disappointed they don't have pigeon or rabbit in their menu. must try everyone!

perfect place to taste different types of food.we tried chicken dhosa here.deliciousfoodin affordable price.crispy chicken , masla dhosa, lime juice all are good.if you ever go to madurai visit this place for nonveg dhosas and many more items.

verdict : evey god damn dish was (for the lack of a better word) phenomenal. cosy ambience, extremely hospitable staff, stupendousfoodwith decent portions and acceptable pricing.
this place is an absolute must visit.

the spice hits you hard with the first bite of the highly recommended mutton dosa.. but it tingled my taste buds beyond. enjoyed an assumingly authentic madurai selection at this small quaint but friendly mess. as usual on a work trip with an evening by myself. ranked as best restaurant in madurai i walked in to the waiting area. the family a regular here recommended almost everything on the menu!! shared a table with another couple and baby comfortably digging on the banana leaf spread. the young mom recommended mutton dosa i went by it. yes the dosa was like a small uttampam topped with mutton with lots of curry leaves and even more of pepper. the first bite i coughed out with spice and was amused how the liitle girl not more than 2 years old was so happy with her biryani. and her mum said in madurai they start pepper way as early as 6 months for kids in soups. wow real hot moms.
the dosa was perfect crisp and just perfectly loaded with small chunks of soft meat. comes along with complementary gravy. and thankfully being on single dinners most of the time it helps to have smaller portion so hhavve space for the next. and that was eggparitha.. wow what came up on my plate was crushed crispy parotha with scrambled and of course spicy egg mix.
would recommend if you in madurai and looking out for something with the city taste.. offoodand people.. a must go. price is fair andfoodis fab.

kumar mess ...if you are new to madurai and want to have authentic maduraifood....i recommended u to go here .....biriyani and mutton chukka are heavenly...although the kari dosa is not all that good here compared to the konar kadai kari dosa ...otherwise every is good here 💯❤️
