we've lived on maui almost 20 years and have gone to kula lodge a handful of times. it really seems to be hit or miss. some times it's reallygood(food and service) and some times it's really not. we continue to go, but not regularly for this reason. dishes seem to change each time we go as if they keep changing chefs that make a dish their way. for example, the margarita pizza usually uses large tomato slices, but recently it was made with grape tomatoes. not the end of the world, but not my preference. my husband's ruban was left under the heater waaaay too long and killed it (bread and meat were entirely dried out). we had poor service (no water refills). again, i'm sure we'll continue to go, but we just always hope we catch them on agoodday.
