was expecting a authentic dal bati churmathalibut got disappointed when got the steamed bati rather than one cooled in coal, not dipped in ghee but ghee was poured on top, gatte ki sabzi was not up to the mark, churma could have batter and overall pricing for thethaliwas not justified.

best daal bati i ever had! i have tried daal bati several times and this place is best(very soft baati from inside didn't feel dry, easily absorbed by daal)
churma is also good! here you get unlimitedthalionly which consists daal bati, churma, cucumber, govind gatta, rice and butter milk!
totally infant friendly because you can feed him daal rice or ghee rice! cleanliness was good.

udaipur is famous for it's authentic rajasthani food and dal bhati is one of them. after along search we came to know about this restuarant. it's situated in the old udaipur city in a very cosy place. seating arrangements here are quite nice with rajasthani decors all over. they serve only dal bhatithaliwhich you'll get for rs 250 per head unlimited.
thethaliconsists of dal, crispy bhaati with lots of ghee, gatte ki sabji, salad, garlic chutney, green pudina chutney, simla mirch sabji, papad, a glass of chaas and churma laddoo as a sweet dessert. they also serve rice if needed.

overall thethaliwas good but can be more spicy. chaas was wonderful. the service here is also pretty good.

recommended if you want to try mild taste of rajasthani dal bhati.

this was the first place we visited after coming to udaipur and was suggested by everyone here. thethaliwas so so bad. the dal was bland and the gatta curry was tasteless. the restaurant is one big hall with no windows and no ventilation. also, the place is isolated and looks unsafe. totally overrated.

"ohhhh ye toh jannat hai(this is heaven)" that's the exact feeling you'll get when you'll have the dal bati from here. i think this is the best place to have rajasthani food in udaipur.
as you can see thethaliincludes dal , bati , churma , gatta, papad, tipore(chillies), chutneys ,salad , chhach . *all unlimited*

but the taste is out of the world ... and you should ask the perfect way to eat it from mr. manoj parmar, the way he greets is like we all belong to a same string that's the love towards food ...
parking facility is available too.
had the best lunch time.

after a lot of research and a strong recommendation from many locals i went ahead with krishna for satisfying my cravings for rajasthani daal baati churma.
and boy oh boy, the decision to come here was dead correct. they serve only one dish which is the daal baati churmathaliand it was heavenly.
no amount of words i write here can actually express the emotions i went through after having my first bite, you have to come here and see it for yourself. the daal served here is not tur daal which you normally eat with baati or baafla instead what you get is a mix daal along with another famous rajasthani dish, gatte ki sabzi which was also very tasty and very unique which i had never tried before.
and coming to churma, it had just the right amount of sweetness added to it and i came to know that they use jaggery to sweeten it instead of white sugar which is great health wise and also it had sesame seeds which brought a nice little crunch to it.
overall, i was a very happy soul after finishing my meal here and if ever i come to udaipur again, i am definitely coming here.
