when in rajasthan, arajasthanithaali is a must!
visited krishna dal bati restro for their unlimitedrajasthanithali.
dal bati, gatte ki sabji, choorma, chaach, papad, chutneys and so much more!
we were served so well, the options, the taste and proper hygiene was maintained throughout.
overall, i loved the whole setup of the place, the food was good too (unlike most unlimited options we get where taste is compromised).
although it is not located around the streets of city palace or in that area, it is well connected and you can take auto/cab to reach there.

our review: 4 / 5:

what chole bhature is to punjab, dal baati churma is to rajasthan. a quintessentialrajasthanidish, this three-in-one treat (baked baati with spicy panchmel dal and sweet crumbly churma) is revered as much for its simplicity as for its delicious taste. while this culinary gem is famed for its wonderful taste, the fascinating story behind its origin is virtually unknown.

baati (little doughballs made of wheat flour, ghee and milk) is believed to have originated during the time of bappa rawal – the founder of the kingdom of mewar. back then, the rajputs were establishing their stronghold in the region and baati was their preferred war time meal.

the krishna dal bati restro is one of well known local restaurant in udaipur forrajasthaniauthentic food. the special taste of dal bati and churma makes it more remembering and famous food among the rajasthan,s people. they provide only dal bati and churma with pure ghee which makes them standout from others. krishna dal bati restro is simply subtle, innovating and inspiring in every way.

udaipur is famous for it's authenticrajasthanifood and dal bhati is one of them. after along search we came to know about this restuarant. it's situated in the old udaipur city in a very cosy place. seating arrangements here are quite nice withrajasthanidecors all over. they serve only dal bhati thali which you'll get for rs 250 per head unlimited.
the thali consists of dal, crispy bhaati with lots of ghee, gatte ki sabji, salad, garlic chutney, green pudina chutney, simla mirch sabji, papad, a glass of chaas and churma laddoo as a sweet dessert. they also serve rice if needed.

overall the thali was good but can be more spicy. chaas was wonderful. the service here is also pretty good.

recommended if you want to try mild taste ofrajasthanidal bhati.

"ohhhh ye toh jannat hai(this is heaven)" that's the exact feeling you'll get when you'll have the dal bati from here. i think this is the best place to haverajasthanifood in udaipur.
as you can see the thali includes dal , bati , churma , gatta, papad, tipore(chillies), chutneys ,salad , chhach . *all unlimited*

but the taste is out of the world ... and you should ask the perfect way to eat it from mr. manoj parmar, the way he greets is like we all belong to a same string that's the love towards food ...
parking facility is available too.
had the best lunch time.

after a lot of research and a strong recommendation from many locals i went ahead with krishna for satisfying my cravings forrajasthanidaal baati churma.
and boy oh boy, the decision to come here was dead correct. they serve only one dish which is the daal baati churma thali and it was heavenly.
no amount of words i write here can actually express the emotions i went through after having my first bite, you have to come here and see it for yourself. the daal served here is not tur daal which you normally eat with baati or baafla instead what you get is a mix daal along with another famousrajasthanidish, gatte ki sabzi which was also very tasty and very unique which i had never tried before.
and coming to churma, it had just the right amount of sweetness added to it and i came to know that they use jaggery to sweeten it instead of white sugar which is great health wise and also it had sesame seeds which brought a nice little crunch to it.
overall, i was a very happy soul after finishing my meal here and if ever i come to udaipur again, i am definitely coming here.

people of rajasthan specialize in serving sweet and savory dishes in combinations that steal the heart and delight the taste buds.

a platter of sweet churma, spicy dal and baati  is one such traditional combination.

while our visit to udaipur, we wanted to eat authenticrajasthanidal baati. so after googling and asking couple of local people we visited @krishnadalbatirestro.they serve "dal baati thali".

spicy dal, crushed baked bati topped with desi ghee,
gatte ki sabji, sweet crumbled churma accompanied with salad, shimla mirch ka achaar, chhach, green chutney, garlic chutney. phew!
garlic chutney was icing on the cake.
worth trying 🤟
