kimchi sushi

i didn't like sushi until i went to kimchi sushi. awesome food and staff!! prices are reasonable and the atmosphere feels like your somewhere else other than winnipeg!! this is my #1 place to go for sushi.

i was so excited to check out this new restaurant, and it was worth it! menu was unique and food good was awesome!!! the decor was fabulous, i will definitely be back again :)

im not a fan of sushi but i must say their dynamite roll got me! also, i don't know why people are hating about the service, the girl who served me always checked on me and my friend when i went and was very sweet and friendly

badass food. great korean food and sushi

this is my go to place for sushi. really close to home and love their regular rolls like (bakudan, chicken teriyaki, salmon maki). but also love their specialty rolls like the (sexy sake and xoxo roll) service is pretty quick. usually go late in the evening. never had any issue with service or portion sizes with the sushi. never tried the korean food yet! but i love this restaurant

definitely on the pricey side but their specialty rolls are really good! i wouldn't recommend coming here for the basic rolls as they are pretty expensive with the same ingredients. the service has always been okay however the interior is nice and elegant. xoxo and volcano are my favourite. the photo enclosed came to $70 (the tempura is not pictured)

fantastic food and fantastic service.  the staff at kimchi sushi on keewatin are always smiling and helpful.  my kids love the fresh sushi rolls and continuously ask to go back again and again.

i didn’t hear of this place until my boyfriend and i were craving sushi one night (nevermind...i crave it all the time), and he lives in the area and mentioned it, so i tried it the first time about 6 months ago. since then, every time we’ve either ordered out or dined in, it’s always the same - consistent and delicious! i typically always go for the salmon sashimi (fresh, abundant pieces) and a roll or two...which tends to leave leftovers... but my eyes are always bigger than my belly..lol. the bakudan is my favorite. however, if i could lose my sushi obsession, i’d want to try the other dishes they serve, it’s not just sushi, there are entrees and korean dishes as well. service is great, if we ever get anything packed up, they always include extra soy sauce and chopsticks. it doesn’t seem like much but you really don’t get that everywhere and it’s the little things that go a long way. the only thing i would say is you pay for the quality. it’s not outrageously priced, but if you are looking for cheap, it might not be the place for you. they do, however, have some really good lunch specials. if you’re in the area, you should try this place out!

work close in the area and order pick up on my way home twice a month. their specialty rolls are good and fresh. fast friendly service. a bit pricey but worth it.

great food. great service! my favorite must-try rolls are xoxo, tnt and volcano. the korean food is rich in taste as well... everyone must try the la kalbi korean short ribs and the gamjatang soup is the best in the city!

three words...stuffed mushroom tempura!!!!  tried it today and it was so delicious!!  the service was friendly and fast and i found the prices to be on par with other sushi places.  it's kind of hidden away behind the mcdonald's but now that i've found it i will most definitely be back!


feb 2018 - i've been back here many times now and i always enjoy it.  they have great lunch specials that are a fabulous deal.  delicious food and great service.

same as other sushi places, same taste but high prices and small portions. needs more light in here that its hard to read the menu. slow service, wrong and incomplete orders. some waitress can't handle busy hours. waited 45 min for our food. they just offered 10% off in our bill. not happy, i didn't tip. not coming back. told my fam and friends not to eat here.

i like sushi but i love kimchi sushi. ive been here on a number of occassions and even order take out and its always good. i highly recommend some of their korean dishes like the kim chi fried rice. soo good and spicy, wish there was a bigger egg on top cuz i love yolk in my rice. we have kids and theyre very kid friendly.

sushi was good, but the service could have been better. a table of 4, we waited approx. 30-45 mins. the restaurant only had 2 other people. when we got our food, the order was incorrect despite the waitress confirming the orders earlier.

i thoroughly enjoyed my visit to kimchi one afternoon. with a great deal of japanese and korean options as well as lunch features and boxes- i was left satisfied. the food was fresh and the service was speedy. would recommend and return.
