khyber - dukes the palm

a wonderful gastronomic experience, sumptuous food! thestaffis brilliant, courteous and very thoughtfully sensitive to the dietary requirements and food allergies. i had a concern on gluten free meal, which was painstakingly taken care of by everyone attending my table. the chef himself came twice to ensure the needful. highly recommended for those who are looking for peaceful ambience and tasty food served in a well courteous manner, making your dine out experience worthwhile.

an excellent fine dining restaurant. every fish or chicken variety on the platter was very good. their tikka masala is very different compared to traditional chicken tikka masala’s you get everywhere.staffis really friendly, polite and courteous. very good service..

excellent food and ambience. kathi roll was just amazing. appreciate the celebration and attention. thestaffis very pleasing and friendly. the chef, faizan ali, took very good care of our dietary restrictions.

this was our first visit to khyber yesterday. amazing ambience and extremely courteous staff. shantanu attending to us was extremely friendly and so was siddharth the manager. wahid the head of security was at the lobby and again very friendly and courteous. the view from the restaurant is beautiful. the restaurant has a very relaxed environment. food was great. as it was our anniversary, we were treated with a surprise red velvet cake which was indeed an icing on the cake! khyberstaffreally made our evening a memorable one. will surely visit again.

yesterday we went for our anniversary dinner@khyber and opted for buffet set menu (aed 150/- per head) (beverages not included)

1. starters - amazing.
2. main course- chicken tikka gravy was amazing, rogan josh was not up to mark, palak paneer, mixed vegetable, dal and rice were okay.
3. desert- amazing

they also surprised us by presenting us anniversary cake.

overall it was an good experience with courteousstaffand amazing views from outdoor seating area.

we went there to celebrate my mothers birthday.. thestaffmade it very memorable for us by giving us a table with nice view.. arranging a small cake which was sweet surprise for her.. food was really nice and good quantity. thanks a lot.

i had booked a table for my husband’s birthday and had specifically asked for a good table for 3, we were given a table with was at the end of restaurant and 8-10 seater. thestaffsaid that this was the only table available, then what was the use of making a prior booking. apart from this, the food was good. we had ordered lamp chops for starters, prawn masala for main course could have been better. they gave us a complimentary cake for my husband’s birthday andstaffsang for him too.

the food is delicious 😋 the ambience and vibes are super good !! you must try the food with a free wish as every dish is good !! also, the service is remarkable. thestaffis very helpful and understanding.

after reading some positive reviews we visited, in a big group for eid dinner. thestaffare excellent, very friendly and helpful. but…the food! oh my… firstly the menu is just like a standard food court indian restaurant. secondly, the salt content! i had to eat the main course like it was pickle with food. tooo salty and below average taste. it was just sad for a restaurant which charges 100+ for every dish has such a bad chef and compromised food quality. not to mention, our eid celebration was ruined by such sub par food. oh, to add the misery, the ac wasn’t cooling and when we asked thestaffto do something about it, they said…the glass door of the terrace is to be blamed! please avoid.

i visited khyber thursday night to try their “summer menu”
khyber is located at dukes the palm on the 14th floor and gives you a stunning marina view.

as i entered i felt like being at a mughal darbar with its paintings, lanterns and massive pots. thestaffin indian attire. i loved the over all theme so apt.

they amazing summer spread costs just aed 120/- and is so worth it.

i highly recommend a visit to khyber for its exquisite food and excellent customer service. thestaffis so polite, accommodating and professional.

it was our 1st wedding anniversary on 2nd march and we decided to go to khyber for dinner. i think it was one of the best decisions to visit this restaurant as the experience was extremely phenomenal. sous chef mr. omvir and our server rakesh both took care of our food as well as hospitality really well. we chose to go with the set menu that came with starters of two different kinds- chaats and tandoori and the main course had a massive spread of chicken biryani, raita, palak paneer, butter chicken, dal makhani, mix veg *phew* the list is endless. we loved the starters and the biryani the most, very good quality meat, fragrant rice and the portion size is really great. thestaffwas sweet enough to get us a sweet little chocolate cake to celebrate our anniversary.

if you're looking for good food with great experience then i'd suggest you head to khyber and go with time in your hand to soak in the experience.

had very high expectations and took my very special guests to khyber. but was quite disappointed with the food presentation and menu. too pricey to what they serve. service was slow and thestaffdid not listen to 2 orders what we gave in the midst of our dining which were not catered and they we did not bother to reorder.
quite disappointed. points for ambience only.

we had a great time last evening with family, thestaffwere very professional and following strict covid policies to make sure we had a safe but a great experience. the lady at the reception hosted us and showed us around and escorted us to table, the waiter who served us was very professional and very informative. the food was amazing we ordered murg methi and 6 other dishes i believe.

it's an extremely aesthetic restaurant, great interiors and set in a beautiful location in the palm jumeirah.
the live music andstaffservice was very pleasant.
however the food is very average. not sure about the regular menu but the diwali set menu options for vegetarians was half-decent. no paneer dish in main course seriously? upon request they did provide paneet makhani, which should be appreciated for their flexibility. however the gravy was overflowing with strong cardamom taste.

the unlimited chaat was pretty good. the bhel puri was a bit old but the pani puri was delicious. in the starters the stuffed tandoori aloo was delicious! however paneer tikka was so-so because it wasn't smoked enough, pretty uncooked and raw.
main course the rice was very tasty. roti was hard and cold but they provided naan on request which was fresh. dal panchmel was decent. they had a spinach and cottage cheese dumpling which was very very tasty!
the dessert was a really bad attempt at fusion of indian and western sweets. however i asked for ice cream and the ice cream was extreemely sweet compared to usual chocolate ice cream so i didn't like it too much.
have to appreciate flexibility of service.
the set menu was 150 dhs and zomato pro discount was not accepted so overall value for money was poor.
possibly non-vegetarian options might have been better at this place.

we enjoyed every bit of our dinner. we chose the set menu of 99 per head. the options on the menu for all the meals were quite good. we got to choose 2 items per person from each starters, mains and desserts. thestaffwas super friendly and attentive about our order. special mention to rakesh for ensuring we were served well on time. the ambience was really calm and beautiful. the food quality and the taste of each item was really good and unique in its own way. overall an amazing experience and definitely worth a second visit.
