ramadan is here and when it comes to an awesome iftaar, this restaurant is like an icing on the cake.

khyber is one of the most well-known restaurants serving authentic north indian cuisine which surely holds a special place in the heart of every indian.
located in the dukes oceana hotel, khyber has been one of the most consistent and successful restaurants in dubai – thanks to their excellent & committed chefs, and in equal measure – their great service. with the conceptualization of their menu, this place is definitely going to steal your heart. 

the ambiance of this place is super ethnic and it totally resembles with the interiors from their branch in mumbai, india. the outdoor seating is beautiful and it offers anamazingview of the palm jumeirah.

coming to the food, this was the first time we tried their ramadan set menu and were totally amazed by their lip smacking 4-course menu.

located in palm jumeirah, its an aesthetically done north indian restaurant. i visited this place last week on my wife's b'day and my positive experience started right when i made the booking for the evening.

i made the booking through zomato and soon received a confirmation. the booking form asked if it was my first visit and was it going to be a special occassion. little thing, but matters.

sometime later i get a call from their team confirming the booking and taking note of the special occassion. they also checked if we had any dietary restrictions or allergies.

on our way to the restaurant, i realised we could be late because of traffic. i informed the restaurant and they were kind enough to accomodate my request.

when we reached the restaurant, we were greeted by deepika at the reception and attended by hitesh at our table. both, very friendly and great at their roles.

we chose an outdoor seating and the view is just beautiful. overlooking the beach and the atlantis, dim lights added to the scene makes for a perfect romantic outing.

anyway, we placed our order and were glad with the number of vegetatian options they had. we ordered for a veg kabab platter (serves 2) - it had a mix of paneer tikka, corn tikki, tandoori gobi and grilled broccoli - well cooked and aptly marinated, it made for a great starter.

next up was dal makhni and lasuni palak. both dishes served right to their reputation of being a north indian restaurant.

and when finally we asked for the cheque after this feast, hitesh and deepika surprised us with a little b'day cake as i had earlier mentioned it was my wife's b'day.

so in a nutshell, good food, great views, and exception service. (made better with zomato gold)

will i visit this place again? indeed.

a very good place to eat within the dubai area. located on the 15th floor of the dukes dubai khyber offers great service and great food for a great price. personally the butter chicken wasamazingwith a side of steamed rice. would highly recommended to anyone traveling. the terrence was was also just a cherry on top!!!

i went with friends for ramadan dinner at khyber restaurant. located on a high floor, the restaurant has someamazingviews of the palm and jbr. they have a balcony with a telescope if you'd like to look around. the restaurant has interiors similar to forts in india and lots of seating options inside as well as outside on the terrace. the tables are spread out so you have a semi private dining experience with windows all around on one side so you don't miss out on that view.

they have a set menu for ramadan. we started off with dates, papads, pickles and a selection of their ramadan drinks. i personally liked the tamarind and apricot juice. we also ordered their mango lassi which was so refreshing that we ended up calling for 3 repeats!

the starters were served in individual platters. we had the keema seekh kebab which was quite good, murg chaap that was very tender, vegetable pakoras that were crunchy and cocktail samosas that were delicious. overall it was a well prepared platter with a good portion size.

the main course was served as a thali which was quite thrilling. we were expecting serving bowls with the curry but the personalized thali was a welcome sight. we got the murg methi which had a delicious curry, rara gosht with tender meat, prawn usmani korma which had a cashew curry base, paneer makhani which was just lovely and dal makhani. in the centre of the thali was a big bowl with a generous portion of their chicken biryani. personally the rice did not have enough spices but mixed with the raita it was absolutely scrumptious.
they served the breads on the side which were a mix of naan, lachha parantha and tandoori roti.

lastly the desserts also came in separate platters. there was kheer, shahi tukda with rabri and ras malai with the last one being my favourite.

this was our first visit to khyber yesterday.amazingambience and extremely courteous staff. shantanu attending to us was extremely friendly and so was siddharth the manager. wahid the head of security was at the lobby and again very friendly and courteous. the view from the restaurant is beautiful. the restaurant has a very relaxed environment. food was great. as it was our anniversary, we were treated with a surprise red velvet cake which was indeed an icing on the cake! khyber staff really made our evening a memorable one. will surely visit again.

yesterday we went for our anniversary dinner@khyber and opted for buffet set menu (aed 150/- per head) (beverages not included)

1. starters - amazing.
2. main course- chicken tikka gravy was amazing, rogan josh was not up to mark, palak paneer, mixed vegetable, dal and rice were okay.
3. desert-amazing

they also surprised us by presenting us anniversary cake.

overall it was an good experience with courteous staff andamazingviews from outdoor seating area.

very delicious food andamazingservice. curries and breads both were good. those who have taste buds for spicy food will like the place. additionally ambience is fantastic and outdoor tables would be so fab in winters.

i visited khyber thursday night to try their “summer menu”
khyber is located at dukes the palm on the 14th floor and gives you a stunning marina view.

as i entered i felt like being at a mughal darbar with its paintings, lanterns and massive pots. the staff in indian attire. i loved the over all theme so apt.

theyamazingsummer spread costs just aed 120/- and is so worth it.

dropped in for dinner during a staycation at the dukes. the restaurant is located on the upper floor with beautiful views all round of the palm.

we were greeted at the entrance and taken to our table within a few minutes. the restaurant was busy and the outside seating was fully occupied.

we opted for the three-course set menu. the waiter made his recommendations and helped us select our options. the kebabs were awesome, the samosa chaat was mind blowing, the paneer wasamazingand the butter chicken was out of this world. the mutton was a bit undercooked to our liking but the rest of the experience covered up for any lagging in taste.

if you love indian food then khyber is a must visit

2 days ago, we celebrated our mom’s birthday at khyber and it was anamazingexperience. the food tasty, the view astounding and the service was excellent. a special mention of thanks to vivek (bibek) who assisted us for being very courteous and professional. we will definitely visit the place again.

we had a great time last evening with family, the staff were very professional and following strict covid policies to make sure we had a safe but a great experience. the lady at the reception hosted us and showed us around and escorted us to table, the waiter who served us was very professional and very informative. the food wasamazingwe ordered murg methi and 6 other dishes i believe.

we enjoyed every bit of our dinner. we chose the set menu of 99 per head. the options on the menu for all the meals were quite good. we got to choose 2 items per person from each starters, mains and desserts. the staff was super friendly and attentive about our order. special mention to rakesh for ensuring we were served well on time. the ambience was really calm and beautiful. the food quality and the taste of each item was really good and unique in its own way. overall anamazingexperience and definitely worth a second visit.
