khyber - dukes the palm

the food quality is lower mediocre and very basic only go there for the view from the balcony.
staff is very friendly and well serviced and iftar service is very slow…

not at all to the level of fine dining.. presentation, taste everything was just below average.. veg kadai had oil like anything and bread was very chewy and cold by the time it got servered.
reshmi brocolli and dal makhni was the only thing we liked.

had iftar dinner (set menu) yesterday, it begin with pakoras & ramadan juices which were good. starters were excellent. mains came with lot of curry options (fish curry, chicken curry, lamb curry, palak paneer, dal makhani & biryani) which all looked & taste the same. didnt like the fish curry but chicken biryani was good.  other curries were just fine. desserts kheer, firni were not good but carrot halwa was nice. 

may be i should have not gone for iftar set menu. ala carte menu looks good with lot of bbq options. ambiance lighting was very dim; hard to make out which curry was in which pot.

ramadan is here and when it comes to an awesome iftaar, this restaurant is like an icing on the cake.

khyber is one of the most well-known restaurants serving authentic north indian cuisine which surely holds a special place in the heart of every indian.
located in the dukes oceana hotel, khyber has been one of the most consistent and successful restaurants in dubai – thanks to their excellent & committed chefs, and in equal measure – their great service. with the conceptualization of their menu, this place is definitely going to steal your heart. 

the ambiance of this place is super ethnic and it totally resembles with the interiors from their branch in mumbai, india. the outdoor seating is beautiful and it offers an amazing view of the palm jumeirah.

coming to the food, this was the first time we tried their ramadan set menu and were totally amazed by their lip smacking 4-course menu.

i would surely visit khyber with my family this ramadan to enjoy their set menu again :)

as a fan of khyber mumbai, decided to visit the dubai branch for iftaar set menu. good ambience and service by team. food wuality and taste not to expectations. especially the meat quality of lamb curry ( main course) upset us. informed server and he tried to bring another portion but was same. he expressed helplessness as that was the available. the seekh kabab tasted good but starters were limited only two small pieces. overall felt disappointed with the expectations and poor value for money. there was a good spread of buffet at ground floor restaurant at much cheaper price.

good food, amazing location , super interiors.
those who are fan of the iconic khyber in mumbai, won't be disappointed.
try out the outside dining if you are a couple or a small group.

i don’t have words to describe the hospitality of this restaurants members.. i had been here for iftaar buffet and thankfully been a zomato gold member i was lucky to enjoy a free meal as well and god what delicacy and food they serve .. totally mind blowing. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
lavish iftar with great variety , felt really special when they made special veg starters for me as i am a veg and they had non veg options in starters... and then they stole my heart with the most generous act of making my food as take away even though they don’t give thali and set menu as take away. 👍🏻
must visit 🙏🏻 value for money and mind-blowing view of palm jumera from outside seating arrangements.

located in palm jumeirah, its an aesthetically done north indian restaurant. i visited this place last week on my wife's b'day and my positive experience started right when i made the booking for the evening.

i made the booking through zomato and soon received a confirmation. the booking form asked if it was my first visit and was it going to be a special occassion. little thing, but matters.

sometime later i get a call from their team confirming the booking and taking note of the special occassion. they also checked if we had any dietary restrictions or allergies.

on our way to the restaurant, i realised we could be late because of traffic. i informed the restaurant and they were kind enough to accomodate my request.

when we reached the restaurant, we were greeted by deepika at the reception and attended by hitesh at our table. both, very friendly and great at their roles.

we chose an outdoor seating and the view is just beautiful. overlooking the beach and the atlantis, dim lights added to the scene makes for a perfect romantic outing.

anyway, we placed our order and were glad with the number of vegetatian options they had. we ordered for a veg kabab platter (serves 2) - it had a mix of paneer tikka, corn tikki, tandoori gobi and grilled broccoli - well cooked and aptly marinated, it made for a great starter.

next up was dal makhni and lasuni palak. both dishes served right to their reputation of being a north indian restaurant.

and when finally we asked for the cheque after this feast, hitesh and deepika surprised us with a little b'day cake as i had earlier mentioned it was my wife's b'day.

so in a nutshell, good food, great views, and exception service. (made better with zomato gold)

will i visit this place again? indeed.

a wonderful gastronomic experience, sumptuous food! the staff is brilliant, courteous and very thoughtfully sensitive to the dietary requirements and food allergies. i had a concern on gluten free meal, which was painstakingly taken care of by everyone attending my table. the chef himself came twice to ensure the needful. highly recommended for those who are looking for peaceful ambience and tasty food served in a well courteous manner, making your dine out experience worthwhile.

an excellent fine dining restaurant. every fish or chicken variety on the platter was very good. their tikka masala is very different compared to traditional chicken tikka masala’s you get everywhere. staff is really friendly, polite and courteous. very good service..

bad experience. please go to gazebo and save your money. live music is a dj playing from a laptop. only two tables get the palm view.
