it just might be calgary's best thai!. since discovering this restaurant on a whim, i might have been to it 4 times in a week and a half. the food and the service are exceptionally reliable, and whether i went there for a date with my husband, dinner with friends, a girls night, or a lunch, everyone in my party was always exceptionally pleased. the atmosphere is great, it is just unfortunate that this restaurant is rather small and usually full, so reservations are highly recommended. the service is friendly and relatively quick (no waiting around for food for too long). the food is spectacular-there is something for everyone. i tend to like very spicy food and they bring you chilli four-ways to spice your food to the level that you like. this is what i love about this place is that the food is generally well seasoned but not particularly spicy, so that it can be enjoyed by those who perhaps do not like so much spice. the appetizers are fantastic and my favourites have to be the chicken satay (scruptious!) and poung chom poo (possibly the prettiest and the most delicious thing you will ever eat!). the spring rolls and the corn fritters are delicious too, i have had several of the main dishes including the braised short ribs in massaman curry (the curry is so good that it deserves a spoon), green curry (i'm not usually a fan, but i love this one), red curry (mild and delicious), chicken cashew nuts, sweet and sour basa (the fry on the fish and the sauce are incredible), and my absolute favourite pad thai koong sod (the best pad thai i've ever had). also the coconut rice is incredible as is the coconut green tea! the great thing about the mains is that the portions are very generous and are lovely to share so that you can try a bunch of the different dishes. this has become a favourite of mine since my first meal: a true gem for calgary!
