can’t complain about this place! there are very fewgoodjapanese restaurants in western sydney but this is one of them. there is limited seating but this doesn’t affect the experience at all. the food is great – it’s cooked very well, high quality, and also affordable. i enjoy the bento boxes and the sushi is always tasty and fresh. i’ve noticed that they’re also pretty speedy getting the meal to your table. staff are very friendly and accommodating if you prefer a seat in a particular spot. they are also open until 9pm on weekdays which i think is great since there are not many othergoodoptions around the area.

my go-to sushi joint when i’m at work. the grilled scallop roll and grilled salmon roll are my absolute favourites!

food is alwaysgoodand staff are welcoming too. restaurant is quite small with only 2 tables and a few tables outside but most of the time that’s not a problem as people tend to have it for takeaway. waiting times during lunch hours can be longer too.

simple but delicious

i had a great time eating in this restaurant and it was agoodexperience. i bought a karage and katsu bento with some basic salad. the meat was tender and juicy, it was delicious.

(continue review)

ramen is not good, i don't think they know how to makegoodramen. the base is wrong and it doesn't taste like any japanese ramen that i've tried. on agoodnote the agedashi tofu is reallygoodwith the broth. it's clean, salty and taste amazing in your mouth. it's like a sexy salt bath in your mouth.

i'm a sucker for teriyaki chicken and kanzo sushi delivered the goods with their teriyaki chicken donburi served with miso ($10). the teriyaki looked delicious and glossy on the chicken and the flavour was intense. i enjoyed the donburi however struggled a little at the end when the sauce got a bit overwhelming.

my friend tried the karaage bento with teriyaki fish ($13.50) and absolutely demolished the box.goodportions for the price paid.

hands down favourite sushi place!! i’ve eaten here 3 times and the service and food is still amazing. the sushi is really fresh and portions are very generous for the price! salmon and avo sushi is a definite and the grilled salmon sushi is to die for 🤤🤤🤤 the california roll was so nice and fresh!! the udon was very nice on a cold night and gave us a generous amount. takoyaki amazing as usual. been to both the takeaway and restaurant kanzo in parramatta and both aregoodin my opinion. the restaurant one is definitely more comfortable and spacious.

overall: 2.8/5
gluten free options: 2/5
food taste: 3/5
ambience: 2/5
customer service: 3/5
pricing vs quality: 4/5

rather busy during lunch hours, although getting a table or even just getting takeaway doesn’t require that much of a wait. i’ve been here twice now and it’s not the best japanese cuisine place in parramatta but it does it well enough. this place is not friendly for gluten free and dairy free folks, since there’s no gluten free sauce or any kind of notation on their menu. that being said though, fresh sashimi and nigiri tend to be safe options.

ordered sashimi bento, sushi and sashimi bento, and a medium nigiri sushi platter. was kinda keen on the lotus root chips but then i saw the price and was like nah.

anyway, sashimi bento came with rice, salad (drizzled with sauce - so i didn’t touch it bc i don’t know if it’s gluten free or not), miso soup, and a few slices of salmon drizzled in more sauce (did not touch this because i rly hate it when salmon is drowned in any kind of sauce!) and a few slices of tuna and salmon sashimi. the tuna sashimi is definitely not asgoodas the salmon sashimi. there were more inedible fatty pieces in the tuna that the chef hadn’t cut out and i had to spit it out while i was eating because grosssss... it is fresh seafood but i really wish they took more care in slicing their raw food, because that’s what makes sashimi different to just throwing on blobs of seafood. would have preferred thinner slices :) the salmon sashimi was cut thinner than the tuna ones and it was hard to fault! melt in your mouth salmon sashimi is always to die for so kudos for that. the one lotus root chip was ok, kinda oily and already cold. wouldn’t really make me want to order more.

sushi and sashimi bento: similar to the sashimi bento but $1 more expensive. it came with a few pieces of tuna and salmon nigiri. i think i did like this more than the sashimi one because they didn’t drown anything in sauce. the thin nigiri slices are great. rice is eh — not something that i usually eat unless i’m super hungry. it’s well seasoned and well made, maybe a little on the sticky side but still dry like leftover rice.

medium nigiri sushi platter probably doesn’t seem worth it at all considering the baby rolls were half salmon and half cooked tuna. the cooked tuna was rly bland and the salmon you could barely taste. ebi/prawn nigiri was alsogoodbut i really would’ve preferred less baby rolls.

overall, because of how busy this place gets, customer service is to the point and friendly enough (they seem like they’re trying their best). ambience-wise it seems like your regular takeaway shop, with only a few tables to sit at, but i really do think their seafood is a lot more fresh than the usual japanese takeaway stores and is on par with fancier japanese restaurants and sushi trains. their prices are fair for what they offer although improvements could be made for some of the dishes.

one of the best ramen noodle houses out west, it is small and cozy and can be tough to find a seat during peak times at lunch/dinner, but if you can get a seat it's worth the wait. the set combo's aregoodvalue for money as well. i usually get a plain ramen with a rainbow or dragon sushi roll to share.

a small corner japanese restaurant tucked away from eat street of parramatta. this place came highly recommended to me by some mates who have eaten here before, raving the sushi to be quite good. unfortunately i didn’t order the sushi when i came so i can’t rate it on that. came here with a friend and ordered the chicken katsu curry, while my friend got the teriyaki ramen and takoyaki balls. the curry was prettygoodand the ramen was pretty average. sadly, the takoyaki balls were mushy and a bit disappointing. overall, pretty standard food and very decent prices.

have tried a lunch here, i will say the dishes we had and price are about average, neither surprisinglygoodnor bad.
new version of zomato doesn’t have 0.5 grade, if so i will give 3.5.
affordable, from memory $15-$20 per person.

ordered the grilled salmon roll, a large sashimi platter and orange juice which was around $45 in total, which is agoodprice for sashimi and a large roll.

the grilled salmon is pretty dam good. i didn’t think the sashimi platter was that fresh but the texture and flavour was still good.

it’s just across the road from the lobby of meriton george street so it’s a great place to go if you’re staying the night.

one of my favourite sushi joints. i used to go to the older one as well and now the newly renovated place in george street is much nicer and more spacious. the sushi here is delicious as well as their salads. my friend ordered the magma roll and i got the chicken katsu salad base with you sesame dressing but asked to change it to the grilled chicken instead (wanted to try something new). the regular katsu salad is amazing as well. service has always beengoodand prices are very reasonable. never disappoints! i highly recommend this place for a japanese feed.
