their tapa was the best!!!! loved the ambiance very clean and specially the smell from the outside of the store that draws you to eat. the atsara strands was too thick but still good. over-all the best so far if you love breakfast style will definitely the go-to place for meet-up dinner with friends

uh-oh! what happened, kanto freestyle? :( my chicken and rice were swimming in honey and my pesto-tomato was nowhere to be found. it was quite a disappointment since i'm a regular in makati and mandaluyong branch. :(

food is really good and not too pricey. although the bacon was sadly priced at 39php for just one piece. warning to anyone who wants to dine in, the place's really hot so bring paypay to cool yourselves.

boyfriend's rating tho is 3 just 'coz he doesn't like anything smothered in cheese but he likes the taste of his crispy corned beef anyway.

i would rate this nearly at level, for starters see the 39 php bacon on the photo. that made me ... hohumm. i would say they have creative items in the menu and decently priced quality meals like the honey garlic chicken, the pandesal pimiento with cheese and pesto, the eggs benedict, the waffle selection, etc. but hey, please re-evaluate the bacon (peace). the place is quaint and service quite fast. i would like to go back and check other menu items. no, i wouldn't order the bacon solo again : )

i've always been a fan of kanto ever since i first tried them about 3 years ago in their mandaluyong branch.

knowing that they opened a branch near my office is just thrilling and i had to visit them.

i ordered my usual order of honey garlic chicken(and new zealand tapa for my friend. for drinks we got some iced mocha. and to top it all off, we ordered fried oreos and taho panna cotta.

here are the prices of each:

• new zealand beef tapa – php 150
• honey garlic chicken - php 138
• deep fried oreos – php 84
• taho panna cotta – php 95
• iced mocha – php 70

before i judge the food, let's talk about the ambiance. the facade is an old manila house with all its interiors from way back when in tact.. the inside of course renovated to have a modern feel.. it feels very homey to be honest.

they have 2 floors and i guess ample space for diners but when we got there, a line was forming.

the place is fan cooled with the exception of the conference/vip room they have which has an ac.

i love the homey vibe. 😊

okay, let's move on the food.

here's the thing, i'm a patron of kanto and what i love about them is their consistency in quality. i've tried other branches and each time they taste the same and served the same.. i love it every time. 😊

the fried oreos and taho panna cotta is an exception though. it was my first time trying those. the fried oreos is okay, the taho panna cotta is..something else.. i kinda like it but i also think it kinda needs more sweetness to it.. thought that's just me..

the service is okay too...

overall, i would recommend to try them out.. 😊 they are affordable considering the servings they give and the quality of food served.

other must try items:
pancakes!!

i did a resto feature of kanto freestyle, la salle on my facebook page called feast your eyes ph, hope you can check it out!

p.s the reason why it's just 4 stars because, i think its time they have a new menu or maybe add new items 😊

the food was average, nothing special. the staff were not prompt in serving their customers. in my opinion, the food was not worth the price that i paid for.

i ordered the longganisa during my first visit. it was quite disappointing because there were only two small pieces. however it tasted really good with their garlic rice.

ever since kanto opened its branch at taft, me and my friends always wanted to try it. we visited a couple of times and i was able to try their champorado, tapa, and bacon and eggs. all of which tastes good and the serving size and price is just right. if you love breakfast food just like me, i think that you should really give kanto a try.

came here twice within a week - once for breakfast, once for dinner. overall value for money - 1st time 380 for two, 2nd time 300 for 2 (no drinks). tapa and chicken are on the oilier side but still quite good. i loved the pancakes. the waffle was a bit on the drier side. i would come back again albeit for breakfast!

i've tried the honey garlic chicken and the eggs benedict. the chicken's really great, it's sweet and savory at the same time. though i think the sauce that comes with it varies everyday(?). the eggs benedict was okay, and i like how they used pandesal for the bread so it feels light and homey with a touch of paprika to spice things up. overall, this place is really nice; a really good merienda tbh. the price is pretty great for the quality of the food. i'd definitely come back to try more of their stuff.

this is my go to place here in taft. i recommend it to all breakfast lovers out there; this place can certainly fulfill your pancakes craving even at 2am🥞
my ultimate favorite menu here is the tuyo with kesong puti! generous portion, and you can choose how your eggs will be cooked🍳
it has a wide variety of menu, and there is not a single dish that i don't like.
kanto freestyle will certainly keep you coming back to try out all of their menu items!

food: mediocre-ish, presentation: nice and appealing, ambience: kinda hot, customer service: poori only went here twice, 1st is a week after opening then 2nd is just recently. with no open resto in taft and l. guinto, i'm sick rin kaya walang gana. the 1st floor is full so i asked if there's space at the top, the ate referred me to the other kuya but he ignored me. then i just return to the place after a while. sick and very hungry. the ate referred me again and they said theres a space at the top. i found a place! i was ready to order i raised hand, they keep on ignoring me kasi i guess mag isa lang ako. ugh! sick, tired, and hungry. the kuya seating beside me who was about to finish eating heard my rants, he called the attention of the server. she insisted that she has to accommodate the bulk people even though theyre not decided yet, i went out of the place out of frustration. impress me with your food if you can handle your customers better. i wont be there if open yung gusto ko kainan :(
