great food, if you want spicy though make sure you emphasize that. the chicken hara masala with the green sauce is amazing.

being in rhode island for 4 years and been to thisfoodjoint almost every week. never imagined i could get this kind of taste in usa, thanks to the efforts by mr sanjiv. being it birthday parties, collage reunion or diwali celebration's....everything's good about this place....paneer tikka masala, green chatni, samosa's and of-course taj-mahal. friendly staff ...nice ambience....soo many memories......really recommended.... try it.

recently disappointed with what their lunch atmosphere had to offer. went in and were offered the overpriced lunch buffet and menus. looking @the lunch menu, seeing since it was. lunch time. we made our choices based on price. (we save & splurge on dinners. have fun creating ways to save and scrimp on lunch :) much to our disappointment we were denies the lunch menu forcing us to decline their services. we mah try again for dinner. but honestly settled for here after we sadley discovered shanghai was closed.

wasn't too bad. sangria didn't tickle my alcohol snob taste buds, however thefoodmade up for it. dishes were delicious, just a little less than expected for an entree at $16-20 p. plate. service, although fumbly, tried and were pleasant. going into the hubby and i's culinary "usuals" :)

average place. i know there are lot of loyal fans but this review is more constructive. thefoodactually lacked the authenticity. the chicken biryani which was served was more a kashmiri pulao i did check with the waiters and they mentioned this is how they cook in india. when the waiters and chef dont even know the difference between biryani and pulao its hard to provide any positive ratings. i would even forgive the oblivious/ arrogant comments by waiters but the seats we were given were on 2nd floor next to waiter/ kitchen are which was noisy and waiters just standing there and staring at us . i would definitely not go back to this restaurant but rather find some good restaurants around ri

it doesn't get better than this. arguably the best indianfoodin new england. the service is great, but more important, thefoodis always exceptional. it's indian food, so yes, you can smell curry when you walk by on thayer street. but don't let that fool you, there are items on the menu that will please almost any palate-- even those who say they hate curry. i'm personally responsible for a half-dozen converts. the only shortcoming is the physical location. you couldn't consider this restaurant handicap accessible by any stretch of the imagination. however, they have a sister restaurant called rasoi located in the blackstone place mall on east avenue in pawtucket with no such physical limitations.
