great food, if you want spicy though make sure you emphasize that. the chicken hara masala with the green sauce is amazing.

free rice. i liked the service and the food is really good. i don't know if it's pricey but it might be. they give you unlimited rice.

the sunday buffet is usually very good and quite cheap. the dishes are very flavorful. they also offer great catering options for events and large groups.

being in rhode island for 4 years and been to this food joint almost every week. never imagined i could get this kind of taste in usa, thanks to the efforts by mr sanjiv. being it birthday parties, collage reunion or diwali celebration's....everything's good about this place....paneer tikka masala, green chatni, samosa's and of-course taj-mahal. friendly staff ...nice ambience....soo many memories......really recommended.... try it.

my favorite restaurant living in providence. every single item i have ever tried has been beautiful. anytime i visit the city, this is a number one priority!! no gluten? no problem. they have chickpea flat bread, pakora, and papadum- to name a few. i am in love with their idli sambaar but can rarely order this appetizer and still have space for their out of this world vegetable curry dishes. the location is perfect if you are visiting the area too. a kitchen by a jwu alum is always another good reason too see what they're cooking up in my book as well. my memories of providence would not be the same without this place. so go!

meat thali plate. the plate was delicious and a great sample of the quality foods at kabob and curry. my selection included a chicken vindaloo and a lamb curry, with rice and naan.

the smells were very good and there were more than on indian and south asian groups of people seated - most appeared to be students so i still reserved judgement. we were presented a menu.  i spotted a trinity ipa to find out they were out, they were also out of the sierra nevada,  bass ale and tajmahal so i defaulted to a kingfisher. so far i'm not too impressed.

recently disappointed with what their lunch atmosphere had to offer. went in and were offered the overpriced lunch buffet and menus. looking @the lunch menu, seeing since it was. lunch time. we made our choices based on price. (we save & splurge on dinners. have fun creating ways to save and scrimp on lunch :) much to our disappointment we were denies the lunch menu forcing us to decline their services. we mah try again for dinner. but honestly settled for here after we sadley discovered shanghai was closed.

wasn't too bad. sangria didn't tickle my alcohol snob taste buds, however the food made up for it. dishes were delicious, just a little less than expected for an entree at $16-20 p. plate. service, although fumbly, tried and were pleasant. going into the hubby and i's culinary "usuals" :)

a few weekends ago, we enjoyed a hearty dinner at kabob & curry in providence. located on thayer st. next to nice slice, this cozy indian restaurant offers freshly prepared dishes at welcoming prices. on sundays, you can enjoy their brunch buffet for less than $11 (never-ending naan bread, tandoori chicken and rice pudding highlight this feast). this night however, we ordered from their dinner menu and anxiously awaited a spread of simmered lamb, vegetable samosa and delicious mango indian milkshakes. the dining room can easily be described as confined, cozy, and even cramped. we didn’t mind. in all honesty, it added to the ambiance. if close quarters is not your thing, simply head upstairs to the main dining room. there is plenty of space up top. ok, the service was, well, sub par. the waiter seemed bored, unenthused and at times non-existent. fortunately, we hear the staff is known to be very friendly and eager to please. mango lassi ($3) one of the highlights of the night, seriously

best indian in ri. we all have friends that are afraid to try indian, this is where i take them to win them over. someone in my party ordered something and ended up not liking it, not only did the staff not charge for it and delivered something else that she did end up liking, without me asking they wrapped it and let me take it home. the service is amazing...and try the tikka masala, i can't keep away
