just poppy's

been here several time now and went again on friday. theserviceis always amazing and so friendly. i had a 'mary's' which was awesome! i love to try new and different things and this definitely paid off. you don't really go to poppy's for the ambience, especially looking out at a rainy carpark lol, but the massive, delicious burgers are enough to keep going back!

best ever!!!. ohhh where do i even begin...from theserviceto the concern for customers....just loveliness....20 dollars for 2 burger and fries!!!...beat that!!!...its not just the price that is great every mouth full of that burger is amazing...we can never get enough...if you are in the western-side you will totally love this shop which is a stone throw away...and i shall be going again really soon....:)

we enjoyed our very tasty and enormous, home-style burgers.  the chips were very good, too.

you can tell the food here is prepared with care and generosity in mind. serviceis friendly and efficient.

my all time favourite place to eat! been there dozens of times and can never fault it. staff is wonderful as always. exceptionalserviceand great food.

one of the the first thing i learned when i got my braces is that, i cannot eat a gourmet burger because i cannot open my mouth enough to take a decent bite and do not have the bite strength to get through the burger in one bite. i have to now carefully deconstruct my burger into small bite sized pieces so that i can chew it on the only functional side of my mouth, the left hand side. this obviously affected this post, i will have to re-review in 2 years once the braces come off. that and the fact that my fussy godson wanted to be held at all times stopped me from eating much.parking is an easy find here but you may struggle due to the sheer traffic that just poppys has! they bloody work fast though i tell ya! theserviceis quick and efficient too!

i got the satay cheezy wheezy, these chips were damn good and came with the option of regular or chicken salt in additional to the cheesy satay sauce. the sauce is a hand made satay sauce with spicy complexity beyond just peanuts and coconut milk or cream! lots of chunky bits of lemongrass and a mild chilli kick to keep things interesting. i liked the cheese too but i always do! 

i got the 3 little pigs, pork patty, pork riblet, bacon, mushrooms, double cheese, fried onions and plum sauce. every nibble i ate was good, but i had to have them all separately due to braces and a fat baby in one arm. i ate all the tender riblet, ate a slice of the thick cut bacon when it was cold and by the time i got to the patty, it was also cold and starting to crumble a tiny bit. i was also able to pick off the mushrooms and onions to eat them. the plum sauce was a great sweet and sour addition to this burger, i ate that with the bottom half of the burger and bits of the riblet too, that much i could manage.

michelle got the cheese me please! meat patty, purple onion, lettuce, tomato, beetroot and sauce, she said the patty was very juicy and enjoyed the combo of flavours. i pinched her chips too.

the burgers are interesting here and well priced, give it a crack. probably don't if you have braces like me however. or do, its up to you!

this is a must try if you haven’t been! best burgers around! menu has heaps of burgers to choose from at a reasonable price. staff are always friendly andserviceis usually fairly quick.

consistently great tasting old school burgers loaded with ingredients. 69 different combinations to choose from and i have not had one that was not good. be ready for feast because each burger is massive. the loaded ones are unfinishable for me.

do yourself a favour and get some beer battered chips. they are highly underrated.

i have come here for nearly a decade now and always swing by when i am back from out of town.

only downside would be the hidden location but the friendly staff and taty food makes up for that! definitely worth the drive.

went here on the weekend. it was busy but theservicewas quick and friendly. we changed the burgers a bit and they got the order correct. burgers were great. partner rates them higher than grill’d and burger urge. only disappointment was the sweet potato chips were overcooked. the onion rings were great though. highly recommend giving this place a go. we got take away and went to a local park to look at the river whilst eating but they have plenty of nice timber tables to eat at as well.

im the type of man who likes heaps on his plare, ill demolish 2 woppers from hungry jacks no worries and to be honest, theses burgers are pretty good value for money. add a chips and gravy and you've got yourself a good feed with brilliant speedyserviceto top it off

hidden away in an obscure shopping centre in riverhills, this family run business serves what is probably brisbane's best burger and definitely brisbane's best value burger. there is an extensive menu so there will be something to suit everyone and the burgers are amazing - made great quality meat and toppings. the burgers are made with love and pride and theserviceis friendly and welcoming. it's definitely worth the 40 minute drive from our place.

from the wise words of my father in law, "that's gonna make a good turd". now as crass as that sounds, that's the highest compliment that one could give.

the location is dull, but they have made the best out of the joint with superiorserviceand amazingly brilliant burgers.

now don't take it from me that this burger joint is one of the must's in brisbane. go there and judge for yourself, they claim to be the best burgers in the brown snake city. and i would agree. now if you will excuse me, i have to carry out the wise words of my father in law.

really is nothing to rave about. sure theserviceis friendly but they're dead set some of the most mundane burgers i've ever eaten. i've been here twice now and i'm really confused as to why it's rated brisbane's best burgers... i think you all need to venture out a little more.

went for the first time a few days ago & will absolutely be back. the location is tucked away in a little shopping village. the counterservicewas fantastic, super friendly & helpful. our order came out promptly, fries were great & the burgers divine! great experience, we look forward to working our way through the menu in the future.

absolute plethora of choices, so hard to decide. i got the jamaica but the banana was quite strong and kinda muted the rest of the burger, is served on a turkish bread style bun which i'm not a big fan of. good price, nice staff, decent ingredients, quickservicebut a boring atmosphere. can't recommend getting the chips with gravy, they were swimming. would definitely go back, i think our choices in what we got marred our experience and the rating reflects that, next time i'd get either the sweet potato chips or maybe the satay fries and a more normal burger. definitely worth checking out though.
