jonah’s is well known in sydney as a fine dining establishment with stunning views, good food and wine. perched on top of a cliff in whale beach, it’s no wonder that the views would be amazing. however, as my family went to jonah’s for dinner, ourviewwas not as spectacular given that the sun had well and truly set. nevertheless, walking into jonah’s, one is still impressed by the crisp, simple and elegant layout of the restaurant, with white tablecloths and orchids on each table. once we were seated, we were presented with the dinner menu, a degustation menu, a drinks menu and also a colossal wine list (really, a wine book). after our orders were taken, we were given an amuse bouche which consisted of a morsel of beef short rib, with celeriac puree, topped with a sauce and a slice of cherry tomato. the tender short rib meat just melted in your mouth and a tangy punch was added from the sauce on top. it was a delicious amuse bouche. for entrees, we ordered: tasmanian huon salmon- con
