i am usually suspicious of fq spots but this one has stood the test of time. very good, high volume, clean andgreatpo boys. love the ham dressed with american cheese on their soft french bread. 2nd would be the dressed roast beef with swiss. dine at this spot vs mothers restaurant. i know everyone wants fried so of course the fried shrimp or oyster po boys work.

the food isgreat- we had a shrimp poboy (with lettuce, tomato, pickle and mayo) and a meatball po boy. meatballs were home made and came with optional mozzarella.
overall they were tasty and a quick bite to have. it is the type of place where tables are quite close together and you get in and out. order and collect at the counter. it’s fast food done wellz

johnnys for lunch. johnny's po boys was agreatstop for a quick lunch in the french quarter. we shared a mufaletta and it was delicious. the bread is what makes these sandwiches, po-boys included. we must have been lucky because at 1:30 pm, we were able to walk right in and sit down at a table. johnny's has been in the french quarter for a long time and is usually packed. i would say it is well worth the wait!!

johnny's. the po-boys were tasty but a little lackluster, not sure what was missing but i was a little disappointed. the service wasgreatand there were some fun diners in the restaurant that made for a memorable experience.

master judge. finally got to johnny's for an oyster po-boy today. when i arrived just before lunch, there was no line and the service was really fast. the po-boy was all i had hoped it would be,greatbreaded oysters and a lot of them, pillow soft bread, with full dressing, yum. by the time i had finished to meal, the line was out the door and orders were coming out of the assembly space fast and furious. the noticeable thing about the line was, no tourists, all locals (the tourists haven't been told since ten minutes later as i went past the central grocery, the line was halfway down the block, all tourists). this place is worth a trip all by itself.greatfood, good service, greatatmosphere, doesn't get any better than that.

you must try.greatfood. long line, limited seating, but the po boy is very good. the only bad mark was the heel of the bread was very thick and hard. still, it is a must to try this place. i wish i arrived earlier in the morning and had the shrimp and grits.

great lunch. it was my stepson's first meal in new orleans fresh off his flight. we had the half po' boy, gumbo and drink special. half is enough. i could not fathom eating a whole one. he and my gf shared his catfish po'boy and i was overjoyed at having the shrimp po'boy to myself.greatseasoning and batter mixed. shrimp cooked perfectly. anothergreatrecommendation by my fellow urbanspooner stinky!!!
