great hot chicken andgreatparm fries, but the ruin the good parm fries by serving them cold. if you ask politely or insistently for hot fries they give them to you cold. they don’t get it, that the french fries are bad cold.

chicken tenders. everyone loves them. not me.

now, the rest of the menu. white quarter meal or the 3 big wings - best fried chicken combo in town.

parmesan fries.... by what i've read about crack, these are the crack of fries. eat these once and you will be addicted.

their sandwiches make anything kfc or popeyes has on their menu look like nothing.

add a always friendly crew andgreatmanagement, you have my favorite chicken place in louisville.

other then kfc i had never had hot chicken. although a franchise chain joella's doesn't disappoint. i had 3 jumbo chicken fingers with the tweeter hot and with bbq sauce. you can choose from 4-5 levels of hotness. i also had potato salad and green beans. another nice touch is fountain sodas they have. all are unique and tasty. this is agreatplace for lunch and it was crowded. highly recommend

this is hot chicken. not too oily, terrific crunch, and real depth of flavor--not just over-spiced heat. the sides are to kill for across the board,greatbeer selection, and i love the "old garage" ambiance. skip the other pretenders in town that are doused in thinly flavored pools of greasiness. joelle's isn't in nashville, but they could have invented the genre.

i've been to princes in nashville where hit chicken was invented. joellas has perfected hot chicken. the place is a bit small but i have a feeling this business will expand to larger areas soon. the chicken is incredible but i really think the best part are the sides and homemade sauces like the ranch and jojo. reallygreatplace to eat in louisville

the best fried chicken in louisville! i love nashville hot chicken and this is the best in town.greatservice and even better chicken. the best part is the chicken is really flavorful and not just hot.

hot chicken is very delicious and spicy. ella's fav was plenty of heat for me. tweener was a lil on the hot side for my taste but flavorful all the same. waffles were good but not as fresh as i'd liked. kale salad and slaw weregreatto help cut the heat. jojo's sauce is sweet and tangy. mac n cheese also good. can't wait until one closer to home opens!!!!

i can't understand anyone giving this place a bad review! yeah, it takes a while to get your food, but that's because it's made fresh. i will happily wait a little longer knowing that my food hasn't been sitting around for 30 minutes before i ordered it. their chicken has such good flavor, is perfectly spicy, and their sides aregreattoo! i eat there at least once a week because i crave their chicken. be patient with the service and you'll love this place.

i loved joella's!! i had the 3 piece tenders (spice level ella's fave), mac and cheese, red skin potato salad, ranch and jojo sauce, and a black cherry boylan soda.

the place is super cute and homey and country looking. you order at the counter like fast food and they bring out your food to your table. no servers, no real tipping. drinks are boylan sodas and at a self serve fountain and they are great. i loved the black cherry. the workers there are friendly, efficient, and do agreatjob.

the food came out pretty quick and it looked great. the ella's fave heat level was perfect. it was spicy but doable and a good first choice i thought. the mac and cheese was incredible and the potato salad really good. i liked the potato salad a lot but could honestly get 2 orders of mac and cheese; it was that good. the chicken pieces were good sized and fried golden brown and tossed in the chili oil of your choice in heat. i ordered 2 sauces, ranch and jojo. the ranch seemed homemade and wasgreatand the jojo's was good and a mustardy carolina gold type of sauce. i couldn't finish because it was a good amount of food. it was quick and relatively inexpensive for the food quality.greatplace. i'll definitely be back real soon.
