even though there is construction going on behind this bakery, it doesn't stop its traffic. dropped in this morning for exploration after i read diana's review. the top service deserves customers' appreciation. coffee is made by heart with passion. it is strong and creamy. incidentally, i had exactly the mini coconutcakesto accompany my coffee. they are perfectly matched. no doubt to recommend this bakery to other foodies.

the pastry here is amazing! dropped by last evening and grabbed a beef and red wine pie and also a chocolate brownie for dinner. the pastry is amazingly crisp fresh and crunchy! have yet to try the brownie and very keen to try their cakes, theircakesare freshly baked and looks really yum! the staff here is also very friendly!

this store popped up in a few lists for "brisbane's best gluten free bakeries". we recently bought a supersized orange & almond gf cake here for a friends birthday and it was amazing. everyone asked where it was from and nobody could believe it was gf - it was so delicious and moist! we can't wait to try more of their beautifulcakesand pastries. thank you jocelyn's provisions :)

thecakesare delicious, not too sweet. well-balanced. our favourite is the sour cream chocolate cake. a big winner for office morning tea or after dinner treats or anytime really.
the savoury tart is also delicious.

stopped here for coffee and a quiche. delicious . but as a customer eating at the cafe , weird to be given a cold quiche in a paper bag. even when i told them i was eating there. no napkin or offer to warm up ? nice coffee and some delectable things on sale,cakeslooked amazing.

staff are always kind and helpful. the most delicious and my favourite pecan brownie sold here. i buy birthdaycakesfor my family from jocelyn's all the time.

jocelyn's provisions is the place to where i go whenever i need a cake for a special occasion.
have had a couple of good experiences in the past and today after the fiasco at pineapple express we decided to get ourselves a treat.

we got the salted caramel cupcake and the pecan and chocolate brownie.

the caramel cupcake made me rethink all of my previous experiences with this place, the custard on top only tasted like butter and the cake itself didn't have much flavour whatsover. would give it a 2/5.

the pecan and chocolate brownie was way better than the cupcake but still not worth its price, the brownie could have more chocolate flavour to it, and also the texture was kinda not what i was expecting, this brownie was more to the crumbly side as it was crunchy all way through, the problem is that i felt like the crunchiness was coming from something like sugar crystals or something similar as if there was too much sugar so it didn't get all dissolved in the brownie batter or something. would give it a 3/5.

overall my previous experience with theircakeswas excellent, for example this week i grabbed a cake for my partner, almond and orange cake if i'm not wrong, and it was almost perfect, soft, moist and the perfect sweetness to it.

so i might not consider coming back for a treat, but i will be back for their cakes.

absolutely love the pies here. they use really good ingredients in the fillings and the pastry melts in your mouth. they also do really nice freshcakesand biscuits. i never like carrot cake until i tried it here.

we love joecelyns. highly highly recommend the blondie. fantasticcakesand tarts. breads are brilliant too. we love the packaged sweets, they're brilliant to fill a hamper with for gifts or take a box of goodies to a dinner with friends. it's pricey but i think it's worth it. we've ordered a fewcakesand never been disappointed until our last cake order. we ordered salted caramel to feed 30 people, we certainly paid for it but we were okay with that because of how good the previous ones have been. sadly it was so salty, almost too salty to eat and very dry. that was disappointing. but always good service and we are prepared to order morecakesin the future and give them a second go. we love the chocolate cream cheese cake.

so much on offer for those who enjoy baked goods. breads,cakes, flans, muffins, tarts, brownies, cheesecake, biscuits sweet and savoury.., the list goes on. lovely displays, frozen meals and drinks available too. all to takeaway and orders welcome. friendly service and parking outside the shop. i really like the savoury flans and the divine cupcakes.

a nice little bakery on james st. the cinnamon and pecan bunt was ok, but not much pecan. thecakesand tarts do look delicious however so maybe next time

if you're going to a bakery like this in james street, you know it's going to be a little more pricey than others - so for that i won't dock a point.
yes this bakery is truly top quality and it shows. theircakesare delicious and devoid of that awful manufactured taste and touch. they're moist, delicious and beautifully presented. a perfect gift for someone or finish to a birthday.
their quiches are overflowing with chunks of fresh veg and i appreciate how rare that is to find!
would recommend the sour cream chocolate cake - smooth, lush and to die for.

average. i have mixed feelings about jocelyn's provisions. i feel that it is a decent shop, but is highly overrated. the majority of theircakesare dry and grainy with sickeningly sweet frosting. their pastry is all right, but doesn't hold a candle to other places in new farm. their savoury offerings are all right as well, but can be hit and miss. that being said, they do do a handful of things very well. their carrot cake is moist and delicious with proper cream cheese frosting on it (thank god!) that has a nice hint of orange. the sour cream chocolate cake is very good. the sticky date pudding, portuguese custard tarts and florentines are also worth checking out. unfortunately, it's high end pricing on middle of the road product.

the next step in the process was for us to head over to jocelyn's provisions for morning tea, which included some wonderfully cookedcakeswith honey, as well as sampling different 'flavours' of honey from bee one third. the flavour of honey is dependent upon the pollen collected and no two batches taste exactly the same and are dependent upon the flowering flora.

disappointing. very disappointing. i chose this place to take an overseas visitor for their birthday cake based on the high percentage here. i didn't really like the flavour of thecakeson offer but i chose the chocolate cinnamon variety. the cake itself was huge and quite good value for the price. unfortunately it was very, very dry and neither of us could eat more than a few bites.
