5/5 for service, food, and ambience. with a fireplace and the dim lighting, it was the perfect place to go for a romantic dinner. waiters took my coat and assisted us the whole night. the food was quite quick to come.
we ordered a white bait fritter starter, queen cut rib eye (w/ cafe de paris butter), scotch angus (w/ green peppercorn sauce), and a side of chips with aioli. the white bait fritter was rather small for $30 which was the only down side. the edges were crispy and smokey, the middle was soft and almost gooey which was delicious. the hollandaise sauce was tangy and complemented the fritter well. my rib eye was probably the best steak i've had! it was slowcookedand medium, so it was very tender. however the scotch angus was a bit tough. both were evenly seared throughout, even on the edges, seasoning was perfect and they were juicy, even without the accompanying sauces.
