bestburgeryou'll ever eat. oh my god, you can't miss this place. the jacksonburgeris a masterpiece. i've been here a dozen times and can't bring myself to order anything else, friends have told me to try the hoagies, cheesesteaks, etc. i can't not order a burger. parking is tough and getting a table can be challenging, but its worth the trouble. go there right now.

burgers that harrisburgers hate to love.. by oden's beard these burgers are amazing! jacksonburgeris 1/2 lb of meat and at least 500 tons of awesome sauce wrapped in the thickest cuts of bacon this side of the stock yards. as a harrisburg native (harrisburger?) this is the place you hate to love. be prepared to nurse a food baby full term because this will weigh you down in the most satisfying way possible.

harrisburg's best kept secret. jacksonburgerhit the spot. it's the kind ofburgeryou know you shouldn't eat (greasy, cheesy, bacony) but when you finish you have to battle your mind and gut to walk away and not order a second one.

notes: cash only, closes at 1:45pm, call ahead early for large orders, they do not take walk-in large orders, be prepared to wait 10 or more mins for a burger.

best. bestburgeri have ever had not dry but juicy!!!! will be back soon, not open on weekends and closes on weekdays at 2...make time to go and will be worth it ...recommend the jackson house burger

italian meats galore. awesome bread. housemade roasted red peppers are fantastic on subs. the burgers are very tasty. not a fan of the fries. split aburgerand italian sub. philly style sub bread is fantastic. abruzzi? johnny goomba sub has peppers stuffed with proscuitto i think. go here if you can. only open mon-fri for lunch.

burgers. great hole in the wall spot! seating for some and food is most certainly made to order. would recommend calling ahead and picking up rather than waiting as lines may become rather long. i ordered the lesterburgerwhich was good. it is a hearty 1/2burgertopped with mushrooms, bacon, and cheese. worth a trip back for their famous philly cheesesteaks! worth the trip and it is conveniently located in relation to the capitol building!

really cool "old school" place.burgerwas awesome! the "goombah" looked pretty good as well. guess it's their twist on an itailian sub. extensive menu all cranked out in this little kitchen.

jackson house. one of the best sandwiches i have ever had came from here. their bread is made fresh in philly and trucked up to harrisburg. i usually go with a jacksonburgeror a ms. andreoli's hoagie, that aged provolone is great. the only drawback is that they are only open on weekdays from 10:30 am - 2:00 pm with the grill closing at 1:40. easily one of, if not the, best lunch spot in the entire city.
