...chicken from it’ dog, so i’ve really had agoodchance to compare them. it first opened up a few months back, and since then i’ve had the chance to go here a few times now with a variety of different people (i lost some pictures, so i kept having excuses to go back). since being here, i’ve also had the chance to go to the dog  so i can really compare the hot dogs from both places.

the fried chicken here is amazing. pretty much my go-to place when i have the fried chicken cravings. seoul fried chicken isgoodtoo but they lack any spicy flavors. i don't know what it is about the chicken that they use at itdog, but it's soooo tasty! usually i get the 5-piece chili or sweet&spicy. some times i'm feeling brave and get the hardcore chicken. warning: it's pretty friggin spicy. if you get the hardcore, make sure to get the sauce on the side so you are not regretting it after.

the hardcore poutine here is also one of my favorites.

i don't really recommend any of the hotdogs here. they are pricey and won't satisfy your hunger. if you want a hotdog, go to costco lol

my boyfriend and i were roaming whyte avenue trying to look for seoul fried chicken (we were both craving korean fried chicken), only to find out they were sold out of chicken and wouldn’t have anymore until 5:30. he had class at 6:00, so we settled on it dog just off of whyte avenue.

it dog is a “order at the counter and pick it up yourself” kinda place. it’s decorated with comic book posters and blasts kpop music all through out the restaurant. i settled on the “meal” ($9) which included 2 pieces of chicken, your choice of sauce, and fries or salad. their choices of salad were: coleslaw, macaroni and pickled radish. i chose macaroni and i was really craving rice (filipino problems), so i got a a side of rice for $2. i tried spicy mustard for my chicken, and paulo got sweet spicy. the chicken was perfectly fried, and smothered in our choses sauces. the macaroni salad i ordered lacked flavour, although the rice was surprisinglygoodas it was more on the sticky side.

perfect casual spot to grab a beer and eat korean fried chicken. they also have “dressed up” hotdogs for $8 such as butter chicken dog and kimchi dog. they also have poutine which i am excited to try next time!

hot dogs and fried chicken? why not? the place is a little cramped and if you go when it's busy, wellgoodluck trying to get a seat. my girlfriend and i ordered some regular fried chicken and 2 peach shrimp dogs. their fried chicken is delicious, nice and crunchy just the way it should be. i give them props on trying some new/putting a spin on things but execution needs a little work. pieces of butterfly peach shrimp don't really flow well on a hot dog, let alone trying to get a full bite without them constantly falling off. best eat them separate i guess. and the big issue here is the bun. they don't use a traditional hot dog bun, instead they use pretzel style hot dog buns. which are delicious but a little too dense and heavy for a hot dog.

the restaurant kind of had a funny smell to it when we walked in, but i got used to it after a little while. they have quite a few topping options, and you can switch from a hot dog to a smokie or bratwurst. i got a spicy chicken poutine, and can imagine that the fried chicken is very good, just from the bit i got on the poutine. the place isn't fancy by any means, butgoodfor grabbing some food for a casual meal.

skip the dogs. get the chicken.. we had it dogs & bulgogi dogs and neither were impressive.

the juicy, crispy, sauced-up fried chicken, on the other hand, is great - andgoodvalue too. i will return here just for the chicken.

come for the chicken. i've come here twice now and both times, with both my company, have we agreed that the hot dogs do not live up to the hype. they are certainlygoodbut not so much as it doesn't leave you craving for it' dog and going out of your way to get here. the hot dogs are extremely large and way too filling for me. most of it has got to be because the pretzel buns are extremely dense so that really takes up your appetite. none of the food ever comes out hot, just kind of room temperature. the chicken though as far as kfc (korean fried chicken) goes is no competition to wing chicx. although, the garlic soy chicken was still delicious. the flavor of the garlic and soy both came out really rich and complimented each other. there is also plenty of sauce on the bottom to dip your chicken in for added flavor. it was crispy with a little bit of a hint of spice to it. if i were to come back to it' dog again, it would be for the chicken. so for that sole reason alone, i'm going to rate it a thumbs up.

excellent. ate here for the first time today. had the hardcore dog, which was very good. an interesting take on hotdogs, they combine korean with hotdogs. not sure if thats actually a korean thing or just a north american thing. the fried chicken was amazing too, i had the sweet and spicy.

i will definitely come back and try something different. i think some of the negative reviews are from people who don't understand the restaurant's concept. the food presentation isgoodand the food itself is high quality.

should be called it'chicken. this place is really good, or at least half the menu is. the fried chicken here is the tops, and usurped my only recently crowned champion of edmonton's best fried chicken. the breading is crisp, the meat is juicy and tender, the flavour is out of this world! however, their flagship product; hotdogs are lackluster at best. despite using big juicy dogs and a cavalcade of interesting ingredients, these admittedly creative hot dogs are nothing more than novelty in practice. in each of the incarnations that i've tried, the hotdogs seemed to be missing a certain something, and always lacked unity. the hotdog often felt out of place, as if they threw together a hoagie and just decided to throw a hotdog in the mix as an afterthought. its like it has the "epic meal time" mentality that if you stack food on top of other food it constitutes a coherent meal, and that the more out-of-left-field you get the better it is. on top of that, the price is crazy for what even agoodhotdog will usually run you at. their most basic dog will run you at $5, meanwhile you can get a hotdog at costco that's just asgood(or close to it) for $1.50, and that comes with a drink!
check this place out, enjoy the phenomenal fried chicken, its more than enough for me to recommend this place despite its kind of disappointing hotdogs.

great concept poor execution. just came home from it dog. we tried the bulgogi dog, fries, regular and sweet and spicy chicken, macaroni salad. first, the dog. chewy, very thick pretzel bun. sausage: rubbery texture and tasted microwaved.goodtoppings though. chicken: interesting panko style coating, my friend called the chicken"ok". i liked the red sauce but it did remind me of a bottled chinese red sauce for short ribs. fries: frozen nothing special. macaroni salad: just plain awful. too much mayo and 1 flavour predominating. verdict: i guess if you are really craving a hot dog and you are in the area, fine, but there are really excellent food places close by that can beat them at this game. suggestions: offer a softer bun, don't pre cook the dogs, maybe work on getting fresh cut fries. you can do better guys!!!!
