ummm. had been hearing about this place and finally had a chance to go. didn't expect a 1.5 yes 1.5 hourwaitand for them to be turning people away because they were supposed to close at 10. we arrived around 8:30.

anyhow, the food was delicious, so i can't complain there, but if we had been the only couple and not with a few other couples we would not have waited.

outstanding service to begin with, thewaitstaff met all our needs and any questions about the food. the food is fresh and seasoned well. great funky, fresh and fun place to eat.

i had lunch here (16 january 2021) with two friends. it was my first time here but my friends had dined here a few times before.

we had about a 20-minute wait, so we ordered a round of drinks and walked around the outside dining area. it was too cold to sit outside but i would like to go back when the weather is warm to enjoy the little thai village that they created. great atmosphere, decorated with buddha’s, sculptures, various seating areas in huts, a tiki bar, and little gardens. even the ladies restroom is decorated colorfully.

while their website mentions “…outdoor and limited indoor seating only,” every table inside was filled, so i didn’t think it was as ‘covid appropriate’ as compared to other restaurants i’ve been to. however, all of the staff wore masks and gloves, and everyone wore their masks coming into/out of the restaurant, so i didn’t feel uncomfortable.

it was quite the busy place and i can understand why. the food was marvelous! as we were here on a saturday, we had to order off the dinner menu. we shared the cha gio, vietnamese rolls filled with ground chicken, noodles and vegetables that came with a sweet dipping sauce and lettuce to wrap the rolls. the rolls were deep-fried and very tasty.

i had the happy asian melody, which had chicken, shrimp, beef, and scallops in a dark soy sauce, along with plenty of vegetables; and rice. my friends ordered the shrimp and scallops in a nest; and the scallops with ginger. both also had plenty of vegetables. our meals came with a small thai cabbage salad.

i was impressed with the portions of the entrees, in which i had leftovers for another meal.

tam was our waitress. as this is a popular place and filled, service was on the slow side. not a big deal, as we were enjoying our food and conversation.

i can’twaitto go back and try other items on their menu and dining outside.

been here twice, and the food was great both times! only lost .5 stars since thewaittime was pretty long. adding random stuff here now since my review isn’t long enough........

great take out. thewaitis usually so long we get it to go. the order is always correct and the staff is super sharp.

amazing food and atmosphere. i have been there over a dozen times and i have never had a bad meal. expect awaitif you go on the weekends.

very good food. the waitress was friendly. nice atmosphere, eat outside if you can. thewaitis very long, so make sure you do call ahead seating. you don't want to miss this restaurant if you enjoy thai or vietnamese.

new manager? - not good. we went to indochine last week and noticed some differences in the food. when we asked about it we were told by thewaitstaff that they had a new manager and she was trying to cut costs.
dear manager- it shows. there is a reason you have been successful. please do n0t screw it up.

great lunch. this place has great reviews and now i know why. the place was packed for lunch on a saturday afternoon but all the staff were hustling and moving people though- politely and efficiently. my waitress, thao, was really personable and offered comments and suggestions on multiple menu items. i never felt the slightest bit rushed or that i was an imposition as a solitary diner taking up a table on a busy shift- for any of you who dine alone with any regularity, you know what i mean. i had the bento box lunch special which was a great sampler of the yellow curry, teriyaki chicken, beef stew, chicken ga kho and a golden basket. everything was tasty and i cannotwaitto head back and try other items on the menu!!

favorite! i'd like to live here. we just live too far away. whenever there is an excuse to eat in wilmington the indochine is our first choice. we have been repeat customers for four years. we each have our menu favorites and they are different. we have never had a bad meal, nor even a bad dish within the meal. thewaitstaff has always evidenced knowledge of the food they serve and has given excellent advice, and attentive service without being intrusive. indochine had been on our "want to try" list for some time but that part of market street wasn't in our travel pattern. our son, a certified executive chef who no longer works in the food industry, took us there for a birthday celebration. we have been going back ever since. as seniors, we find that a soup and shared appetizer is a perfect lunch.

the bomb!. best atmosphere and asian inspired food i have had in a while. worth thewaitat the door. get patio seating.

a-freakin-mazing!. not only is this some of the best asian food in wilmington, but the exterior back patio area is outstandingly beautiful! it truly feels as though you're transported from wilmington straight into an asian garden. there is nothing i love more than sitting out back on a cool night, enjoying the twinkling lights and waterfalls while i sip on an indochine martini andwaitfor my gold bags appetizer to arrive. pure heaven!

best thai food i've had. between the atmosphere and menu, you really can't go wrong with this place. it is where i take out of town family and friends when they visit. the outside features private cabana-style tables, a koi pond and even a wedding chapel. on busy nights there is usually a belly dancer circling around the tables for tips. i recently had the shrimp and scallop noodle nest and it was fantastic and was enough to feed 4. the banana eggroll dessert is reason alone towaitfor a table.
the only downside is that they do not take reservations and thewaitcan get pretty long on a busy night. the bar servers delicious one of a kind frilly drinks, along with all the staples, but is on the small side and get get crowded. however, this is a place that is without a doubt worth the wait.

just excellent. went there after it came up on the urbanspoon app during a vacation to wilmington. it was busy (a good sign), and the one-hourwaitwas worth it.

the ambiance was wonderful. we felt like we were in a super-fancy restaurant. the menu came out, and the prices were astoundingly low. we had 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 sodas & a dessert for under $50. to top it off, the portions were huge! let me put it this way: i'm a big guy, and i am never full. i literally could only eat 3/4 of my plate.

the food was excellent. all of the ingredients were super fresh. it's probably the best asian cuisine i have ever had.

great place for events. we just had our company party at indochine this weekend in the budda room. it was perfect! the food, the service, the atmosphere - could not have asked for more. we had a cocktail & appetizer hour before dinner & never had towaiton a refill of drink or food. dinner was fantastic & perfectly timed. even dessert was fantastic. we ordered several of the most popular items & passed around the plates since no one was the least bit hungry - & still managed to finish them off because they were just too good to waste.

felt like we were guests at someone's house.

we all enjoyed every moment.

added bonus was taking home leftovers to enjoy.

incredible food & atmosphere. a favorite of mine for years.

perfect for a date, celebrations or just because you are hungry for good food.

my only regret is i tend to get the same things since i love them so much! everything i try becomes a favorite here.

wonderful atmosphere both indoors & out.

this is dining the way it should be. the little touches make it better than any other place. (ex. no wooden chopsticks here but you will get a ceramic rest for your reusable more environmantelly friendly ones!)
