been to this fantasticrestauranton many occasions, and they have never let me down. i tend to stick to the thai selections from the menu. their tom kha is the best i've ever had, anywhere. ever.

therestaurantitself is dark and kind of funky, but i think that boils down to a matter of personal taste. i like it. i get it. hope you do too😉

the gardens and outdoor seating are unique to north carolina, i believe, and are best enjoyed in october and november, i think.

best asian food in town!. indochine is a bit off the beaten path, but this is probably the best asianrestaurantin town. the interior and exterior are cozy and impeccably decorated, and the food is uniformly excellent. portions are generous, too.

disappointed. i went to indochine in the past and looked forward to taking friends there this past sunday. i am disabled and requested a booth with padded seating. upon arrival we noticed the ac was not on - 1st bad sign.. the host sized us up (literally) and put us in the smallest booth in the place. everyone in our party was thin and we still had a hard time fitting in. of course we noticed and commented on unoccupied larger padded seating. the patrons in there were sweating and fanning. fortunately we had a great waitress and when i complained she figured out that the manager/host forgot to turn the 10 wall units on???the food was not as good as it was during my last visit. . i could tell the meat and vegetables were of good quality but so over spiced it ruined the dish. the appetizers were cold - egg rolls. our dinners were similar and no special request were made to alter any dish. our dinners varied from barely warm to cold. therestaurantwas filthy. we both had to take our slacks to the cleaners because the seats had not been cleaned. (we went at 6pm so no one else sat there before us.)it also had one small bathroom (one toilet in ladies room) for a large restaurant. i do not know what the change is - maybe new management or chef. what a disappointment. the only good thing was that we had a wonderful waitress. she was first class - nice - hard working and polite. she should work in a nicer place. she had way too much class to work in such a slack place.

very good food. the waitress was friendly. nice atmosphere, eat outside if you can. the wait is very long, so make sure you do call ahead seating. you don't want to miss thisrestaurantif you enjoy thai or vietnamese.

one of the best restaurants in america. my husband and i celebrated our anniversary here and i only chanced upon thisrestaurantdue to arestaurantsearch for vietnamese cuisine. this is quite possibly one of the best restaurants i have had the pleasure of dining at in this country. from the cozy decor and interesting outdoor gardens, the ambience was a reminder of dining experiences had in the far flung corners of the earth. the quality and care put into the dishes was a statement in itself, that whoever is behind these delightful recipes, absolutely loves food and sharing something wonderful with others.thank you!

indochine is a place i'd been hoping to visit for a long time, and in my favorite city, at that. therestaurantis lovely, the bar lively, service lovely, and my quick glimpse of the garden was mesmerizing. the food, however, disappointed. our table ordered four items at dinner--yum yum chicken was fine, but our appetizer, vegetarian and beef entrees had almost no taste. perhaps it was simply a bad night in the kitchen, but if i went again, it'd be only for a drink.

yum and then some!. went with a big group on a wed night! service was a little slow but i'll over look that as we did have a big group, but 2 1/2 hours was a bit much for apps and entree.restaurantwas nice, gardens were beautiful. would go back and try again just to sit outside and eat.
tried the sampler app and was delicious!!! good amount of food and server was great at explaining all the sauces and what to try them with. entree i had the crab and asparagus soup---different combo but super yummy!!! everyones entrees came out and were so beautiful and tasty. glad i got to try a few different things. everyone was happy with everything. will def be returning and bringing the hubs with me.

winner of best of wilmington for multiple categories.. there's a reason this has been such a successfulrestaurantfor so many years, even with many other thai places popping up serving up "competition" indochine will always be the best.

sit outside if the weather is nice, it's like being transported to far away lands.

red curry duck is one of the best dishes i've ever had. thai beef salad and yum yum chicken are other favorites.

if you don't get the coconut cake for dessert you are doing yourself a great disservice. indochine's appetizer and dinners are like dan aykroyd and harold ramis in ghostbusters, and the coconut cake is bill murray. ghostbusters just wouldn't be the same without bill murray, same as indochine wouldn't be the same without the coconut cake. yes, i went there.

a -. indochine has good food, but for some reason it seems as though the quality of the food has gone downhill. what was once a truly pleasurable dining experience is now simply good. and while good is good, good is not great.

i usually take visitors to wilmington to indochine for the atmosphere, and good (not great) food, as long as it is not prime time. if you go on a friday or saturday night you will wait. the interior of therestaurantis beautiful and comfortable. sitting outside is very nice.

i prefer big thai 1 to indochine for thai food, though.

this place is awesome!!! old family friends opened this place probably 15 years ago and it had been my favorite wilmingtonrestaurantever since. the owner and her staff are wonderful and the food is consistently impeccable. the green curry chicken is always my favorite, but the coconut basil muscles are incredible, as is the pad thai. and dont skip desert. the mango sticky rice is delicious and so is the mouse-chocolate or mango.

best thai in the state. i relocated to the metro of charlotte and have not found anyrestaurantto compare to indochine! its one of the things i miss about wilmington and will need to go back soon for my fix!

miss this place. i have not been to indochine in several years. but i can honestly say it is the bestrestaurant(or was) i had ever been to. i loved it. the food was delicious every time. we always had nice servers. wait times for a table could be long and annoying. but i would spend my last pennies to go out to eat there when i lived in nc.

declining quality. indochine used to be the premire asianrestaurantin the area. unfortunately, it has declined in quality and service.
my last few times there have been a bit of a disappointment.
the flavor of the food was inconsistant (and there was a piece of wood in my soup) and the service was very slow. i gave it additional trys in case i had just been there on a "bad day". it seems that bad days are happeneing more and more frequently.
the good news is that wilmington now has thai spice, which is in the fast lane to becomming the best thai cuisne west of bangkok. downtown yo sake also offers interesting fare and excellent service.

great atmosphere but... when it first opened it was really great food. over the past few years it's fallen off. if you like fruity drinks try the "one night in bangkok". i like their pepper steak.
thai spicerestaurantin town serves a much better meal.
